I came a across a really sweet deal on a close out price on the PDX 1.600 so I purchased two of them. I will be powering the best sounding 8" subs on the market. Beating out the competition 3 years in a row with the highest SPL systems in the car audio world. Plus the beauty of these subs they out pound and sound deeper louder than any sub out there and they can out perform with one driver what two outside competitor subs can do in a enclosure of optimal proportions and TS parameter designs and porting. I have two 8" subs in a custom fibergalss ported console enclosure with the entire under seat as part of the enclosure as well and each 8" sub handles a incredible 500 watts rms and peak at 1800watts more than any conventional 10" or 12" would do thermally with out voice coil failure. I was tight on space and the power for each will be optimal for what I want in my 2006 Nissan Frontier Crew cab behind the rear seat. Well I can't wait to install them with all 4 & 0 gauge power cable I will have one mean arsenal of power with XS power batts and Odyssey batts! With my Alpine 9887 HU and PDX amps will have one mean combination! :)

I had this hooked up to a JL 13TW5 in my tacoma at half power and my chest was
pounding so much. I love my amp I think i may actually turn it up to see what it
can do!!

i have had this for about a year now, and just last week i realized that it was only putting out half the power. There is a Volt switch that was turned to .1- 1v for head units that only put out that kind of pre-out voltage. I now only have it turned up half-way, and have done damage to my car. So if (and you should) you get this amp, make sure that switch is turned to the right setting. It is also a very efficient amp, so it wont dim your lights as bad as an analog amp; so if you have a car with a smaller engine, this is a must if you want good power for smaller cars. It has only turned off once, because stupid me left it cranked up at a party with the car turned off, and it drained the battery. You cant go wrong with Alpine

I have this running a JL W6v2 12" in the Pro-Wedge Sealed Box and I couldn't be happier. The sound is super clean, and installation on this amp is very easy. The small/compact size makes it snap to place and if you purchase another in the PDX line, they stack and look amazing. You will not be disappointed.

I first had this amp hooked up to a 12" alpine type r sub which hit well. i now have it hooked up to 2 10" JL audio w3s which hits good also. if your looking for an amp that hits really hard this amp is not for you this amp is SQ not SPL. it has super clean bass. my certificate also came back 690w RMS so it has power.doesn't really ever get hot.real small.buy a 4 guage kit or wires this amp does not mess around with power it draws.
