This is a great system really, especially for how simple it is. I worked at a retailer in high school and college and this was one of my favorite products to sell when people were looking for good audio. The demos blow you away. You can spend more on a sony 7.1 surround system and this this still sounds better.
The main fault... and this always ticks me off about bose!!!... put a blue ray player in a model already. I'd own one if they did that. But instead i wait.... really aggrivating. Really, what are they waiting for? I don't understand why you would waste money on this without the blue ray player. Can you see how I'm getting progressively mad?

I had gotten this for the spare room in my condo which is my gym, office and guest room all in one. I never got the chance to hook it up in their because we had an offer on a house and I was waiting to see if the deal would go through or not. Well the deal went through but I ended up hooking it up in my living room to see how it would sound hooked up to my blu ray player. The sound was good when I had it hooked up to the blu ray player but it sounded great when I used the dvd player to watch a movie. The upscaling is also nice. It's a sharp looking unit, wife friendly. Its new home will be in the main living room area of our new house because my wife likes the small speakers and my current 5.1 surround sound will become a 7.1 and will be placed in the Man Cave a.k.a the basement along side a Sony 52XBR6.
Oh ya the only thing I don't like is that the unit it self does not have a power cord. The power comes from the Acoustimass module which means you have to keep them pretty close to each other or spend the extra $10 for the 25ft power cable and anther $20 for the 40ft speaker wires. But other than that its a very nice unit.

awsome system! unreal bass and sound from 3 easy to hook up speakers. throw away your dvd player, stereo system and surround sound bose does it all in one pkg.
