Bose, Better than expected |

After much research on the WEB and many assurances from the Crutchfield folks about their return policies I ordered the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series speaker system. I really wanted these speakers to work as I liked their size & setup but half expected to be disappointed after reading the many unflattering reviews on the WEB. In my opinion they were wrong. Perhaps my hearing isn't as "professional" as the 'anti'-Bose folks but I find this system to give a great sound experience when viewing/listening to movies and also of great importance to me, the sound when listening to music is just as good if not better. My one complaint would be the number of wires that are used when hooking up the system. It's not complicated, just cumbersome. I would recommend this system to anyone who has a medium to small room that is wanting a distinct, clear surround sound experience. These are not "big" blow out your windows speakers, so if you are looking for that I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Speakers sounds very good for the most part (volume, bottom and top ends). I needed
7.1 surround and added bose 191's in t he middle of the room. I'm using a Yamaha
RXA700 and have completed all the setup for the correct sound. The mid range seems
to be lacking a little after going through the setup, etc. and i'm still trying to work through
it.

I've lusted for this speaker system for quite awhile now, knew exactly what I was getting into with it and have absolutely no regrets. It fits our 13' x 18' media room well. It replaced an aging 5.1 system that required more real estate than necessary and was not HDMI compatible. So, the time was 'right' for an entire system replacement. I couldn't be happier with the floor space we've reclaimed. And we haven't sacrificed any sound quality. I don't understand some of the 'sour grapes' comments from other reviewers - perhaps they had problems that I didn't. I think that the Crutchfield team does a really superb job in interviewing and advising to help put a nice system together within the customer's budget....if ego will permit them to do so. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience and wouldn't do a single thing differently if I had to do it over again. System performance, price, delivery condition, delivery speed and followup are well above expectations, so kudos to Team Crutchfield!

You will not be disappointed once you hear your movies on your new Bose AM 10. I have this set up with the Denon AVR-2308CI and a Sony BDP-S350. I bought them all thru Crutchfields. The sound is great, it's exactly like having the movie theatre in your house. And the little speakers, oh my god, they truely accent your room. I couldn't be happier. Oh, and let's not forget Crutchfields!!! They are the best. Their customer and tech support holds true to their claim. I had alot of questions setting up my equipment and they were there to help every step of the way.
