These speakers are simply outstanding. I installed a set of these in the front doors of
my 6th gen Honda Civic, powered by a Crunch P1 amplifier. All around they're a perfect
speaker, and certainly worth the price. I've owned these for over a month and I don't have
a single complaint regarding them. They really are profound speakers. They're crisp,
clean and certainly worth every penny; perfect for the enthusiast. Don't allow the other
reviews fool you. No 6 1/2'' speaker, no matter how amazing they're acclaimed to be, are
going to put out an impressive amount of bass. In fact, most speakers have built-in high
pass filters (HPF), which filter out a lot of the bass, giving you crisp highs and clean
mids. This makes it so that the lows accompany the highs and mids, and don't
overpower them, especially in songs that have a lot of bass. If you are looking for a lot of
bass, invest in a subwoofer.

I bought these speakers to replace the factory units. The factory speakers had nice bass and highs but never real crisp. The JLs have very little bass. I have a Sony Xplod stereo that replaced the factory stereo. I expected these speakers to be the whole package and make the already great sounding Sony better. They do not. The mids and highs are great however.
The truck came with the RBN stereo and a search of the 2003 Dodge Ram Factory Service Manual did not reveal an amplifier associated with the RBN.

Installed these speakers on front doors and they sound amazing. I should have
gotten the 5.5 for the back shelf.

Bought these speakers on a Friday afternoon, they arrived Monday while I was at work(FREE SHIPPING FTW). I got to my house at 10:40pm that night, at 11:40pm I had installed the speakers completely. This was the first time I had ever upgraded my speakers or anyone else's (for that matter). Crutchfield made it abundantly easy to install my speakers. The package contained all the mounting brackets and cables with step by step instructions making it incredibly easy to install. I was going to have a "professional" business do it and it was going to cost and extra $70! Ladies and gentlemen, Crutchfield is the way to go!
