i have this running 4 pioneer d series 6 3/4 woofers with 1 1/8 tweets along with my jl w3 8 stealthbox in 05 f150 extended cab, with the amp behind rear seat and sub under it. Wow the amp more then enough power- doesn't hog power from my other accessories. This is a prime budget audio system. Thanks crutchfield for the excellence in products and service.

I was looking for a good, high quality stereo system in my 2010 F-150. We used a PAC line converter to convert the channels out of my factory head unit into low voltage RCA connections. The PAC unit also provides a remote turn on for your amp. I am using the 600/6 in 5 channel mode to push 4 Kicker KS680 coaxial speakers in my doors and a S-Class 12" sub under the rear seat. This amp pushes the sub admirably, and actually is capable of pushing a lot more speaker than the KS680. I am impressed with the clarity and power of this amp, especially considering its diminutive size. What I have is a stereo system with the volume and clarity that I desired, but it is all tucked away and my truck appears completely stock until I crank the volume.

Excellent clarity. The ease of installation was a pleasure. JL's commitment to quality is apparent. I replaced an Alpine 200W amp with one of these - soooo glad I did! Actually, I was so impressed with it, I bought another 2 weeks later for the other vehicle. First one installed in a 2010 Tundra Double Cab under the rear passenger seat, just in front of the bottle jack - perfect fit. Also replaced all factory speakers with JL TR series before I bought the amp, Alpine amp did okay, but no contest here folks. Second amp installed in a 2010 Nissan Altima in the trunk.
You just can't go wrong.

Great Power, Great Size. |

This is my first JL product and I must say I am amazed. I purchased it for a rather small system running 9 speakers (4 Polk tweeters, 2 - 4" Polk mids, 2 - 6" Polk mid base, and 1 - 6.5" JL sub) in my 2001 Chevy Silverado. It worked great!
Pros: 1) Great power and versatility to hook up many configurations of speakers. When I want to be heard we pull out the 6.5" sub and put in a 12". 2) Size was very small for this amount of power. Its small size allowed me to hook it up under the rear seat in my extended cab truck, keeping it out of sight and still leaving room for my tools. 3) Very little to no turn on thump. 4) Runs all my speakers with plenty of power, and sounds GREAT! Very CLEAN. And it doesn't get very hot. It does get warm but not hot. 5) Easy to set up and tune. But I would recommend that you read the manual if you don't have experience doing this.
Cons: 1) This is the only con I can think of. The mounting holes in the amp are very small and have a plastic ring in them. I easily removed the rings and mounted the amp without them. But even without these rings I could only use very small bolts (about 5mm if I remember correctly). I would like to see larger holes to use a bit larger bolts for mounting.
If you are thinking about this amp, don't hesitate. I don't think you will be sorry. I have had mine in my truck for about 3 weeks now and I love it. I would buy JL again without a second thought. Best amp I have owned to date!
