l bought this sub for my compact SUV and l'm very pleased with the performance. lts not broken in yet since l only installed yesterday but l'm very happy with the tight and precise bass. lts very musical and l have it hooked up to the Pioneer GM 7500 mono amp. lt takes up very little space in my trunk and thats very important to me. l'm very happy with the loud clear bass l'm getting!

I have a Ford Taurus with the stock cd/stereo and speakers that just was not cutting it. Initially, I just wanted to replace my speakers but after reading the comments on 5x7 speakers that fit in my car, I decided to do things right. After purchasing a sweet JVC Arsenal KD-AHD69 head unit, I purchased two pair of the Infinity Kappa 682.9cf speakers. Now the hard part....getting a decent amp and sub.
Well, after much looking, I "punted" and called Crutchfield for suggestions. He suggested the Kicker 9TS10C2 5 channel amp (70W RMS x 4@ 4 ohm and 420W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohm. After asking what type of music and bass sound I want, I told him that I want it tight and loud but not something to rattle my car apart or to be heard down the block. I was very surprised by this suggestion. But after he explained how they engineer these boxes for the sub and how the RMS was right on with the amp, it made total sense.
I put this 450W RMS boxed sub in my trunk and this thing KICKS. Perfect Could not be happier with the amazing sound.

I will start off by saying that I own a hatchback and my trunk space is limited. For that reason, I originally purchased the Kicker 07TCVT102 from Crutchfield. I must admit I was quickly dissapointed. Though not bad for most rock or pop songs, on heavy bass songs such as Kanye West's "Love Lockdown", the 07TCVT102 struggled to keep up and left plenty to be desired. Back it went along with my hopes of finding a slim enclosure that would impress. However, the timing could not have been more perfect. Crutchfield had just added this new Kicker Solo Classic enclosure.
Let me start off by saying that despite its rather slim size (slightly larger than the 07TCVT102), the amount of bass this box puts out is amazing! I was instantly taken back to the days I had a larger trunk and a regular size 10" sub/box. This enclosure passed the "Love Lockdown" test providing hard hitting, precise, clear bass. In fact, I now have a rattle in my trunk which the previous box failed to reveal.
This enclosure is feeding off an Alpine MRP-M500 amplifier, which I think is a match made in heaven. I highly recommend this enclosure if you do not have a lot of trunk space to sacrifice. The one thing you will not be sacrificing is bass.
