Plus you can also enjoy thousands of Internet radio stations — or let PANDORA® Internet radio create a set of customized "stations" based on your own tastes. Or add Onkyo's HD Radio tuner to listen to the free digital over-the-air programming that many AM and FM stations now broadcast.

DTS Neo:X™ enables over-the-top surround sound
Onkyo is the first receiver manufacturer to included DTS Neo:X technology. It lets you use the receiver's nine channels of power to hook up the traditional five speakers of a home theatre setup, plus a pair of "front height" speakers and a pair of "front width" speakers. You have some other speaker configuration options as well — the best choice will depend in part on the size and shape of your room. Custom setup without the customary installer's fee
Even the best receivers can be held back by the acoustic imperfections of a room. Thanks to Audyssey MultEQ® XT32 your system can breath again. This sophisticated calibration program uses an included microphone to analyze sound from up to eight different listening positions, then automatically adjusts level, equalization, and delay settings for each of your speakers. 'XT32 is an advanced version with greater enhancements for your surround speakers and sub. We heard something new
Onkyo recently announced that the Spotify® online music streaming service is now available on this receiver, along with several others in Onkyo's 2011 line. We decided to try it out. Our Onkyo receiver's on-screen display showed our Spotify Premium playlists, including our synced iTunes® library. We were able to search for more music via the receiver remote and virtual keyboard. Spotify is a cloud-based service with a library of over 15 million songs.

You will need to download a free firmware upgrade. Go to Onkyo's website for instructions. Requires a wireless home network. Receiver requires wired connection to the router. Works only with Spotify premium service. Subscription fees apply. Broadband service required.
