You'd like to get a CD changer for your 1995-up Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln, but you don't like the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on the model the dealer is trying to sell you. Here's a way to add CD changer entertainment to your vehicle and save some cash.
Precision Interface Electronics' FRDR/PC-KNN adapter allows you to adapt a compatible Kenwood CD changer to select 1998-up Ford factory radios with CD changer controls, including those with JBL/LUX audio systems. Compatible factory radios will have presets marked "COMP" and "SHUFFLE," as well as a button marked "Disc 1-6".
The FRDR/PC-KNN attaches between your vehicle's tuner/amp module mounted on the left rear wheel well behind the trunk liner and your compatible Kenwood CD changer's cable. The tuner/amp module must have a 14-pin connector. You'll have to route the changer cable to your Kenwood changer's location to complete the installation. Warranty: 90 days.
Note: Keep in mind that these adapters are not universal specific factory packages may require different solutions. Please check with us before purchasing by using the vehicle selector on our site, or calling a Sales Advisor at 1-800-297-9469.
