Read many reviews, and could not find anything with all these features with such great audio quality reviews in this price range.
I will have to check and see what firmware version comes with my radio, as I have not experienced any of the lock ups that so many reviews are commenting on.
SOUND - Excellent, customizable enough to tweak it to my liking as different songs come on from my flash drive. It has made such a difference in the entire sound system, that I no longer feel like having to replace the factory speakers like I was planning to.
BLUETOOTH - Connects to my phone seconds after I turn on the key, and the sound is great! It interrupts the music and then resumes playing after the call
GPS - Though the screen is the same size (4.3"), it provides guidance regarding which lane to stay on when driving through exits, etc. I also like how it displays signs for the interstates, etc. and how it brings a bar on the side that wears off as you approach the turn.
Other than that, I have not used the AVIC feeds program, though the way the left out such important POI category for restaurants!!! Obviously they want people to purchase the optional POI card, but again, I rarely go out of town in my car, so not too important.
I definitely recommend it to anyone having the same priorities I had.

Update the Firmware |

I just installed mine in an 05 Camry. It was the easiest install I've ever tackled. including routing the GPS antenna and Bluetooth mic. I'm even considering adding HD Radio soon. The reception is a step up from the factory radio, which was better than most of my friends' radios. I also like the signal strength display. The ipod control (which was the main reason for the upgrade) works smoothly, and I like how you can link music by artist or album. That means, if you like a song, with one tap on the screen, the rest of the songs from that album are now qued up. The only negative, as others have said, it locks up frequently, but after I updated the firmware to 1.0003 it hasn't happened (to upgrade the firmware, you will need an SD card. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Great New Head Unit |

I was worried this unit would be hard to install myself but everything went in smooth. My only complaint is that the new unit does not mount flush with the mounting bracket. It has two hookps in the back for a stereo. It controls my phone, IPOD and get from a to b. I haven't jumped into controlling my stereo a whole lot yet but it def. sounds great hooked up. The price was phenomenal. One thing to watch out for is that when i drive i pass the roads before it says i do on the nav screen. Don't worry you will be happy with everything this head unit can do for the price!

Good Unit With Some Flaws |

Overall, I'm satisfied with the unit. However, I purchased it for Bluetooth, both for the hands-free phone and audio streaming, but it doesn't have the audio streaming Bluetooth feature.
Other than that, I've been very satisfied with the purchase.
My biggest issue during install was that, for those of you installing in a JK Jeep, there's a bracket against the firewall that the instructions say needs to be cut to fit this unit. Rather than spend time modifying the bracket, I removed it completely, which simplified the install tremendously. My recommendation is to not even contemplate cutting this bracket, just remove it entirely. One other small issue was that the european-style antenna adapter needed one of the nubs shaved off so it would fit the stock antenna plug (simple mod).
After using the unit for just over a week, I'm very satisfied with how it works and it's features. Pros: low cost, easy to use, navigation and hands-free Bluetooth included, iPod/Phone control, AVIC Feeds iPhone app, removable faceplate can be used as a map (but no GPS capability when disconnected), firmware upgradable. Cons: (for me) complex install, no audio Bluetooth streaming, very limited out-of-the-box POI database - cost for POI upgrade.

Honestly i read the reviews and was like oh it cant be that bad and maybe its me but for the price it should run like a dream....but 9 out of 10 times i get in my truck and crank it the screen freezes....you cant even use the gps for having to reset the thing ALL the time. When it actually works its a good unit but i have had the unit for four months and it has worked maybe 10 time out of a 100. Would not recommend this pioneer unit at all...Go with a more expensive one that way you dont waste your money...
