angled shot You'll find a motorized touchscreen up front and an extensive array of connections on the back, but Pioneer built the AVIC-Z110BT for performance all the way through. This versatile receiver will bring you the best in audio, video, and navigation, without compromise.

Powerful navigation with voice control

The AVIC-Z110BT guides you with detailed maps of Canada and the entire U.S., stored on built-in flash memory so you won't have to insert a disc when you need directions. Find the services you need from over 12 million points of interest, while brand icons help you find the right gas station or fast food spot. The system's text-to-speech function announces street names as you go, so you'll always know you're making the correct turn.

The navigator recognizes voice commands for address searches and points-of-interest category selection, so you'll spend less time punching buttons and more time getting on your way. Got an iPhone®? Pioneer has an app that lets you find a location with your iPhone, then transfer it to the AVIC-Z110BT for turn-by-turn directions. Search for "AVIC feeds" in the iTunes app store.

Hands-free phoning with voice control

Make hands-free calls easily with your compatible phone using the receiver's built-in Bluetooth® capability. Pioneer's Conversational Voice Control voice-recognition software understands your casual request to make a phone call, prompting you for additional information when required.

Built-in Bluetooth

Voice control for your iPod®

Plug your iPod into the optional Pioneer CD-IU50V adapter and you can also use voice commands to search for music by artist, album, genre, and playlist. Song info and album art appear on the screen, giving you the information you want, while offering easy control through the touchscreen.

The AVIC-Z110BT covers the bases with your other media too. It plays CDs and DVDs, including discs burned with MP3, WMA, and AAC files. Flash media is covered with the USB input and SD™ card slot. You can use them for MP3, WMA, and AAC files, as well as Windows Media™ Video (WMV) files and MPEG4 videos.

Audio control

Sound quality is stellar, with a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter that delivers smooth, natural sound. For sound tweaking, explore the possibilities of the 7-band graphic equalizer, frequency filters, and 3-level loudness control.

Video and other entertainment options

Check out your video DVDs on the receiver's screen when you're parked, or connect a rear-seat video screen to the video output so your passengers can enjoy the show while you drive. The dual-zone feature allows them to watch one program while you listen to another source up front. Plug in a rear-view camera to the dedicated input for extra safety when backing up in tight spaces.

Connect audio sources through the USB input, SD card slot, or audio/video inputs. Tap into the variety of SIRIUS/XM radio with a satellite radio tuner, or add Pioneer's HD Radio™ tuner to enjoy the crystal-clear sound and extra programming from participating stations.

Note: Bluetooth compatibility with this receiver may vary, depending on your phone and service provider.

Note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check Hands-on Research for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver or its optional iPod adapter.

Great unit, things still to be desired May-02-10
Reviewer: adam from Las Vegas, NV
I got this unit & had it installed in my 06 Audi A4 Cabrio. I upgraded from my  factory 08 RNS-E nav unit which was so archaic in design & function. The  reasons I got this was to be able to have an iPod input+HD  Radio+touchscreen+cd changer+phone blue-tooth. There of course are  other features but those were my main attractors. Unbelievable how archaic  & difficult Audis factory units are..guess theyre focused on building a great  mechanical machine which is fine..i digress..my main burning irritation is that  this Pioneer Avic z110bt DOESNT support a CD CHANGER! They consider  them archaic. Im an audiophile so yeah I still use CDs. Anyway there are a  lot of lil things I wish this unit had but I dont have a list right now. One thing is  when yer using bluetooth phone, u cant access the dialpad, so as long as u  dont have to go thru automated menus yer good. I really do feel the design  of the menus etc is excellent as it is logical & doesnt take more than 3 taps  to get where u want. Good design. The nav is also very good IMO. Wish it  had free traffic info. Lot of things I like about it but not enough room here to  list. One other major disappointment is the voice cmd..its SO crappy at  understanding u no matter how loud & clear u talk or yell, & the voice sounds  like a late 80s robot I had to program in highschool as a kid. Im trying to  contact Pioneer about getting a software patch to unlock the CD Changer  input which IS possible. Ill update this post about that soon..

PERFECT March-01-10
Reviewer: Anonymous person from Fresno California
Simply, this unit does everything!  But the real story here is Crutchfield support.  The installation of this unit is not for the faint of heart.  In our case, the speed pulse wire was not were it was suppose to be.  Stellar support from Crutchfield made this installation happen.  Thanks guys.

Very Bad Choice February-25-10
Reviewer: martin from Bethlehem, PA
I bought this unit because of all the features and specs described.  The first  problem that I had was a automatic reboot of the unit.  the second problem  was the vehicle on the gps was somehow out of the route and into any field  adjacent to the road. the first time this happen, I pulled into the side of 78W  to turn off the car and then turn it back on.  Very outrage, I send the unit  back to pioneer for correction-their answer was could not duplicate the  problem.  Using sirius sat radio some of the features does not work as  advertise.  I called help support and the tech reconmended to purchase  another sirius radio in order to the features that they advertise.

The system keep rebooting itself and going out of track.  very very  frustrating with this unit.

The next thing that happens was the gps screen went completely blank and  could not see anything but a blank screen.  I returned the unit again for  service.  They replaced various parts including the screen or main display.   Since then,  the system was fine until it reboot itself again.  This time, I am  not calling, sending the unit back or anything else.  I decided to take a huge  loss of about $ 2,000.00 of equipment purchased.  I am just very frustrating  about the whole thing.  Unfortunately, my wife is the one feeling the  backslash because she sees me mad and pist off with not answer at all.

FROM 1 TO 5. 5 BEEN THE BEST, I WILL RATE THIS UNIT A -25.

Great Unit, but with some quirks January-20-10
Reviewer: David from Clarksville, TN
This is a great system, no one can contest that. However there are a few  minor quirks that I wish I'd have known about.

First of all, if you think this is the greatest navigation system out there, think  again. The menus are a little awkward which is a pain if you are driving.  Before I had this I had bought a $160 Garmin, which sat on my dashboard. It  is a better navigation unit in almost every way with the exception of the  screen size. It seems to find what I'm looking for easier, does text to speech  for the street names, and even adjusts for when you cross over time zones  (the Pioneer does none of these things)

The Garmin also has a free service to give traffic updates which are pretty  accurate, whereas the Pioneer you must buy a separate device and a  service (which is being discontinued in like a year)

Other than the navigation, the unit is wonderful and the voice commands are accurate like 90% of the time.

If you want a box that does everything under the sun, this is the one. The  only non outstanding feature is the navigation which I can very much deal  with given the other services it fulfills.
