I had this installed in a 2000 Grand Prix...it was aasy to install and the display is gorgeous. It's clear and easy to read at a glance. The multifunction controller knob is a challenge at first, but it took me maybe all of 5 mins to get it figured out and used to it. I actually really like it now, it's really easy to scroll through the I-pod menus and playlists. All in all I am SUPER happy with my purchase and Crutchfield made it affordable as always!! Thanks!

This is a great stereo to replace your factory. I was planning on replacing factory speakers in my Navigator to get better sound and more base but went with a new stereo first because my factory stereo did not have ipod capability and I made the right choice. The factory sub sounds awesome as does all other speakers. Controlling the ipod on the deck is a bit confusing but I learned it perfect in about 20 minutes. I give it a 4 because text on deck face are to small to read at night and day for that matter. Once you learn it you wont have a problem navigating it at night. The steering wheel controls works the deck great also but you need the interface connector but you can't change stereo channels with steering wheel control. Overall this stereo works great and you will not need an amp to get great sound. USB allows you to leave IPOD connected and charges it continuosly but you cannot use IPOD controls in this mode. You will have to turn IPOD off when you turn off car. Auxillary allows you to control IPOD with IPOD control. Enjoy this great stereo!

Good stereo, bad buttons |

Everything works fine, except for the control knob. I have the stereo in a jeep that is not that smooth. The main control knob does everything. Rotate it for the volume, push left right up or down, also has a center push. It hardly sticks out at all, so i always hit the buttons that surround it when i try and do things like change the volume. (yes that little ring around the knob has 4 buttons on it) This would be great in a Cadillac, but is very fustrating if its not in a super smooth car. I have to wait for a smooth section of the road or i will hit all kinds of buttons on accident. Its impossible to set a radio preset while i'm driving because you have to hold the push in button for like 3 seconds without twisting it, or pushing it in any direction, or hitting any of the other buttons that are about 1/8" away. They really should have put a few more buttons on it and spread things out. The Usb mp3 player works great and loads fast. Hopefully you have little girl fingers and a smooth car, otherwise you might get frustrated.

Nice looking receiver! Sounds great! Works with my iPhone 32gb 3GS! I installed in a 2000 Silverado fit is good, this does have USB on the (rear which is what I wanted). The control is OK the knob is a bit small compared to my factory radio but I will get used to it. Sometimes it seems a bit contrary to control but I think I will get used to that as well. I like the display, very easy to read. Control of my iPhone works well, it also works by controlling by the iPhone itself. I can pretty much just plug in the iPhone and go.

I love the fact that this Receiver controls my 5th Gen Video. I have a JVC and a Sony that doesn't even know its plugged in! The unit requires a learning curve to operate the different functions, which is why I only gave a 4 star rating, but once you go through the menus a few times its pretty easy to navigate.
Having Crutchfield include the wiring harness as well as a mounting kit made the install child's play. My 15 yo son removed the old Factory stereo from our 95 850 Volvo in about 5 min, than removed the center counsel in another 10 to run the USB cord. I was making the wiring connections which took about 15 min, connected the wiring harness to the car slid the receiver into the slot and bingo we were done. I have bought 3 different stereos from Crutchfiel and will buy from again!
