Put Bose® on board
Why settle for regular marine speakers when you can put Bose® quality and audio innovation in your pleasure craft? Bose® 131 marine speakers feature full-range composite drivers designed and tested to stand up to harsh marine conditions. And to get the best possible sound, Bose® mounts the speakers in special ported enclosures that deliver consistently superior audio performance.
The single-cone driver design of Bose® 131 marine audio speakers eschews the conventional 2-way design you'll find in most marine speakers. The innovative helical voice coils of the drivers produce a balanced and consistent sound with outstanding clarity and even output.
Each speaker comes with stainless steel mounting hardware and a stylish Arctic White grille. The grilles and the speaker enclosures are made from high-impact polystyrene polymer materials that'll stand up through years of use.

Features
Enclosure: Each speaker is mounted in a ported polypropylene enclosure. The two ports are along the perimeter of the speaker cone, and open into the listening area through the grille.
Drivers: Each speaker consists of a 4-1/2" polymer fiber full range driver mounted in the ported enclosure. The silicon coated surround and polymer driver are resistant to the type of deterioration often caused by extreme conditions.
Speaker Wire: Each enclosure has 12" un-terminated speaker leads (tinned bare wire at the end). The included speaker wire is connected using the included weather resistant wire nuts.
Speaker Magnets: Because the magnets will affect the boat's compass, you should avoid mounting the speakers closer than three feet from the compass. If necessary, a marine installer should be able to help correct any deviation.
Mounting Options: There are two options for mounting the 131 Marine Speakers. If the enclosure can be mounted from behind the mounting surface, the opening can be smaller (5-3/8"), generally offering a more sturdy mount. If the enclosure can't be mounted from behind the mounting surface, it must pass through the opening. In this case, the hole must be larger (approximately 7-1/4"). Once the enclosure is behind the mounting surface, the included mounting flange is secured to the enclosure, then to the mounting surface, both with the included screws.
