Great sub. I only have one in the back seat of my 03 Dodge Ram Duad Cab and it
shakes good. My amp is only 400 watts. I wish i had more power. Also make sure your
box is big enough. Because of space my box is only .5 cubic feet and .8 cubic feet is the
recomended minimum.
Great Sub

This is by far the best sub I have ever owned. Even before it was broke in this sub was capable of tremendous bass. My main objective was to compliment front components in a pickup without using a lot of space. It does this and more. I have always thought Kicker was only for serious thumping, this added the smooth bass I was looking for, plus it still has the ability for seriously loud accurate bass. All of this in a 10" sealed enclosure.
Exceptional 10s for your $$$

After reading several of the posts, I decided to buy a pair of the compvr 10s to trade out my miserable old 10s. Both are dual voice, 4Ohm, 300W RMS subs btw. Dual 10s in a sealed, chambered .9cu feet box connected to an 250g4 in mono bridged 1 ohm configuration sourced by an Alpine cda-9886 hu. All I can say is WOW! These subs blew away (literally!) the old subs. No comparison. They took everything my amp could throw up at them with no distortion. Unbelieveable! the SPL in my small two seater was physically unbearable after about 60 seconds. I will never have it up that high unless I'm outside the car in a competition or just showing off the raw power of the subs. I am extremely happy with them and how they sound. Like they said in the old days, " Those things HIT!" ;)

I wasn't impressed at first compared to the Stillwater Designs of the early 90's which were the bomb. I put them in a 1.25 sealed and they sounded ok but not what I was looking for so I put my Kappa Perfects back in. I recently picked up a .71 cf dual down fire (Silverado) enclosure and pulled those CVR's out of the garage stuffed them with poly fill and they straight rocked. Nothing like I've heard in years. I'm running an Alpine Mrd M301 on each sub; about 350 rms @ 2 ohms each. I gave them a 4 because they don't sound better than my Kappa Perfects, they won't fit in my enclosure. Good sub and I recommend for sq. and decent price. Just make sure you have the right enclosure.
Best subs for the money

I have two of these hooked to a profile ap1200 in my sliverado ext. cab. These things knock hard on rap or rock. I even have these subs underpowered and they hit way hard. Very clear sound.

Back in 02 I had a pair of 12"VR's. I loved them, but had to sell for gas money to get to college. I bought a pair of these 10" CVR's back in january. I paired up with Pioneer mp3/wma cd player, Lanzar Max Pro 1000Watt amp pushing each on a 2-ohm stereo load. Had them in a sealed box for about 2 weeks in the back of my civic hatchback. They blew the box apart. Now they are in a bandpass box, and that really intensified the way they throw. My friend has a pair of MTX 12"s with a 960 watt pioneer amp and mine will drown his out. Great speakers and really tough.

I had bought an 05 model of this sub back when I had my other truck, and it did an excellent job of making deep, loud bass in a Q-Logic sealed box. It did so well that my buddies in the Army couldn't understand how one 10" sub was sounding louder than a friends 2x12" setup in a civic... I paired this sub with a Pioneer Mono Channel amp, wired in parallel to 2 ohms, with a 1.2 Farad Cap and it has never clipped...I recently purchased a new 07 model, and have since replaced the old one, as it broke a voice coil wire finally. The spider was worn through and the sub was still working after both breakages...goes to show how well made they are. I never even bothered with a break-in, so I would recommend this sub to anyone. Great Product KICKER

What a GREAT little sub for such a good price. Buy 1 get 1 one free is the deal I got, and what a deal! These blow away the 10" Polk subs I was using. Great clarity and they make great use of the power you give them. These things are loud & solid.

I hooked these two subs to a Profile AP1000, Man these subs can really handle some power. I put these in slotted port box. I'm the kind guy that likes to unleash the fury. Excellent sound, no distortion very clear and solid bass. Couldn't beat the buy one get one free deal. Pure satisfaction!!!These 10"s sound just as good if better than my old kicker comp 12"s I had 8 yrs ago
