As a veteran auto repair tech I can honestly say anyone with basic automotive how to skills can install this themself. I soldedered & heat shrank connections to the "hot in run" and chassis gnd. wires to the audio unit, double sided foam taped the unit to the top of the radio, bundled the excess wire and mounted the jack/switch unit to the inside of the glovebox and was finished in under 60 mins. It works great, with the exception of some interference from RF hotspots I've had great performance from this product using my phone or mp3 player.

I just installed this in a 2008 toyota tacoma with single disc player. I had a wireless modulator previously that sounded pretty bad, this sounds much better. I just went on a small trip, 250 miles one way, and it worked great the whole way. The volume isnt quiet as loud as when in FM mode or CD mode, but I just turn it up a little with still plenty of volume left.

I installed this product per the manufacturer's and Crutchfield's instructions. There is a lot of background noise when using either my XM Radio or my MP3 player. Also with my XM radio I have to turn my volume up to the max level to hear the broadcast well. I never had any hissing with my wireless XM and I could use a normal volume level. Not the greatest solution.

I was looking for a way to play my iPod through a factory installed stereo system that did not have an auxiliary jack. The Scosche FM modulator works great and is an inexpensive solution without having to replace the entire system. The installation instructions are sparse and not very specific, but I was able to do it easily with some help from the Crutchfield advisors over the phone and email. It looks a bit jury-rigged, but the sound quality is excellent.

Pros; Easy to follow instructions for getting to the back of my radio. Sound quality is excellent. Appearance is decent
Cons: Instructions for installing the product come from Scosche and aren't easy to follow. I had to purchase an antenna adpater. (This wouldn't be a big deal exept that I didn't know about it until my car was ripped apart)
