The 'SR87 uses a large, one-megapixel image sensor to give you sharp-looking detail in your videos and still images. A high-quality Carl Zeiss® lens ensures clear, accurate colours in every shot. Record in Dolby Digital® 5.1-channel audio using the built-in zoom mic, and you can experience engaging surround sound from DVD copies of your movies when you play them back through your home theatre system. To create DVDs of your footage with 5.1-channel sound, simply connect the 'SR67 to your computer via USB and use the included editing software, or connect it to Sony's VRD-MC5 DVD recorder (not included) for one-touch DVD burning.

Convenient recording and playback
Turn on the camcorder simply by opening up the LCD screen, and use the "Easy Handycam" button for fully automatic, worry-free shooting. An additional set of record and zoom buttons on the LCD frame give you more control, especially when you're filming from overhead or at an angle. When you're ready to review your footage, use the "film roll" button and "face index" feature to preview thumbnails of multiple scenes on the LCD screen for an easy-to-search index, or to locate scenes that have a certain subject in them, like your child or spouse.
