Easy to set up, easy to use and at a great price. Just what I was looking for. I followed the suggestion of the Crutchfield rep and it was spot on.

Great receiver for basic use. Note- this is not a home theater, or a surround sound... it's a STEREO receiver. I am using this to power my home system (wired in 8 rooms in my house). I had been using a walmart varity RCA (100 watt per channel) receiver- but I knew these speakers could handle much more. There is a dramatic difference, no distortion...and as simple to set up as could be. If you want basic, simple, and value from a stereo receiver- this is it.

This is a good Sony receiver. It works good and handles like a Sony, which is just about the best feel in a stereo receiver. This is 2 channel stereo (for my pc.) 5 stars to Sony, and Crutchfield is top notch on where to buy a stereo receiver 5 stars too.

I managed to get around the 'no eq' problem by using an audio source selector. This allowed me to use my eq and fixed everything but FM (which is not external).
My sub is wired to the two floor speakers as this receiver has no dedicated sub output.
I have two tweeters (with their own rheostat) on one of the amp's A/B sections. Also, the sub has its own crossover + volume control.
All in all, even factoring in the bit of clumsiness of the audio source selector, I'm completely happy with this unit (I seldom listen to FM).
