Going from factory to sound ordnance p-67 in my tahoe was awesome! The installation was self explanatory. This was my first time doing an install. I would recommend using crutchfield for beginners.

I read the reviews, I researched the product, I bought the speakers.
When researching Virtual Gateways, LLC. (The parent company of Sound Ordnance), the sole contact was William G Crutchfield. That was enough for me to buy the speakers. Crutchfield has NEVER let me down in the past. Their attention to detail and superior level of customer service gave me that confidence. Enough of this...
The manufacturing of the S.O. speakers appears to be engineered well. Sturdy frames and heavy magnets. The speakers sound better than any other 2-ways I've ever had, powered by the 20WRMS in a head unit. If this is your price range,I very heavily recommend them.
I mounted mine in the deeper XTC Speaker Baffles and DID NOT cut holes in the bottom of the baffles save for tiny ones for the wires. The volume of the baffles seemed big enough and I figured I could cut holes later if necessary. It wasn't.
