I was running Sirius via a fm modulator and grew tired of the interference I was experiencing. My 2002 Honda Civic is not equiped with a aux in unfortunately. A friend helped me install the HON98-AUX and unfortunately I neglected to read the instructions closely enough and grounded the aux causing interference through my speakers. We tore my deck out for a second time and removed the ground and now it sounds superb! Remember when you are using a powered device (plugged into the cigarette lighter) do not ground the unit. I don't know how I lived without this product so long! Worth every penny!

Just installed the adapter, and it works very well. For me there is a single "pop" sound between tracks (might be my player?). The pop sound is quieter with the mp3 player volume up and the stereo volume lower. I have a Honda Civic 2002 factory stereo. I can push the cd button on the stereo face and it switches to play either the regular cd player or the mp3 player. Good bye cds. This is an inexpensive way to enjoy your music collection on the road. I would definitely recommend this product.

I hooked up this unit to my factory radio on my 2002 Honda Civic, no sweat. Very simple install, the audio from my iPod sounds great. Make sure your iPod is charged though, if you're charging the iPod and listening to it you'll hear a faint buzz in the background. Also, I have a Sirius Starmate 5 radio and I had an inline FM modulator to play the music directly through the radio. It sounded good, but now that I have run it through the Aux input it sounds even better. I think there's a problem with my 3/8" to RCA L/R cable though, when the car is moving there's a buzz that get louder as your accelerate. It's a little annoying, and I have since switched back to the inline FM modulator. I think it's the cable though, I need to find something with a little more shielding to get rid of the interference. Other than that, I'm very happy with this product.

I wanted a way to play my mp3 player in my car. This worked out great, better than replacing the whole unit. It can work with any brand mp3 player with the standard 3.5mm output. Although the Crutchfield price was little higher other sites, the shipping cost was better, and they shipped super quick. Installation was a breeze.

The PIE auxiliary input is an awesome little device that allows you to listen to any mp3 player in your car with out a radio transmitter. For awhile I went back to CD's because its so hard to pick up a clear station anymore. It's great to have my mp3 back in my car with awesome sound!
The only thing I noticed is when I have it plugged in at the same time as my charger, I can hear a high pitch buzz sound behind the music but it's not really a problem because I usually have a full charge before I get into my car anyway.
I highly recommend getting one installed if you love music in your car at all times!!
