The 32" 32HLV66 combo makes a cool, compact bedroom TV. It has a built-in tuner for reception of digital and analog over-the-air broadcasts, plus a built-in DVD player. The high-res screen gives you a clear window into the pinpoint detail and rich colours of high-definition programs and DVD movies. By combining a TV with a built-in DVD player, the 32HLV66 saves space and reduces cable clutter.

The slot-loading DVD player can also play regular music CDs, plus MP3 discs. Built-in speakers below the screen provide sound that's adequate for casual listening, and whenever you want to crank up the volume, just connect the TV's audio output to your stereo system.

An array of inputs makes it easy to expand your viewing options by plugging in a VCR or videogame console. With both component video and HDMI jacks, the 32HLV66 won't be left behind as new video gear becomes available. There's also a PC input so the 32HLV66 can pull double duty as a computer monitor. Both TV and DVD controls are at the tips of your fingers thanks to the well-designed remote control.

Happy Camper January 16, 2007

This unit has lived up to its rating of #1 and then some! I bought this TV about a month and a half ago as a test mule to see if HDTV was all it was cracked up to be. All I can say is boy is it! If you are looking for a low cost but high quality way to get into HDTV this is the ticket.

The picture over the air with a Terk antenna is just amazing! I am from the old tube type, mechanical tuner, non-cable TV generation and was amazed at the quality of the picture using an antenna.

Cable performance using an HD cable box is nothing short of breathtaking, especially Discovery HD Theater or any football game in HD.

The built in DVD works as advertised making all your DVDs look like a million bucks. The only issue that some may have is that it is a side loader and needs about 8-10" of space on the left side to be able to use it.

On a somewhat lower note,"normal" 480p TV is good but signal quality affects the picture quite a bit. The channels that are "digital" on my cable system seem to be of better signal quality and are better looking than the other analog channels.

To close, this TV performs great and is worthy of its number one rating as well as being a great value for the price.

Very Good Value January 10, 2007
Reviewer: Matthew from Naples, FL
I've owned this LCD for approx 5 months, and I'm very satisfied with it. Clean, sharp picture even in 480p resolution. (It's not a 1080p plasma, but it's very watchable)
Built-in DVD is very convenient if your space is limited, and the 720p picture quality is surprising for an LCD in this price range.
I use a DirectTV Hi-Def DVR with this unit, and the combo is outstanding. I would recommend it to someone looking for a good value in this size.

Toshiba 32HLV66 January 2, 2007
Reviewer: John from Corona CA
nice unit, bought in Dec for living room area, Not one dead pixal, checked with magnifying glass. Really great picture - very very clean with DVD which looks to be 720P, and or any digital interfaced HDMI or even S Video products. Local cable sucks bad here, but the new Satilite set up signal rocks.

would buy this again.
