Consistently solid sound

Kicker's 46CSC654 6-1/2" 2-way speaker serves up stellar sound using a polypropylene woofer for the lower frequencies and a PEI balanced dome tweeter for the highs. You'll get good results powering these speakers with a factory radio, but use an aftermarket car stereo or an outboard amp to enjoy classic Kicker quality with more detail and punch.

Product Research

Features

Polypropylene Woofer Cones: The Kicker CS-series speakers feature polypropylene woofer cones, resistant to moisture and the temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Surrounds: The ribbed polyester foam surrounds allow extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL.

Balanced-Dome Tweeters: Each speaker uses a ½" PEI (polyetherimide) balanced-dome tweeter. A balanced dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone, with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome sections.

Mounting Applications: Kicker describes these speakers as 6½. With the extended mounting "ears" around the perimeter of the frame, they also fit many 6¾ locations. Because Kicker also makes a dedicated 6¾ in this series (item number 20646CC674) that is typically a better fit, we don't recommend the CSC65 for those applications.

Q
These do not need mounting brackets for rear door of 2012 imprezza sedan? The front doors did with this exact speaker
jason  Jan 28, 2024
1 answer
A
We do not have a bracket to help with installing speakers into the rear doors of your vehicle. The speakers will need to be mounted directly to the door steel. It will be necessary to drill new screw holes.
zachary  Jan 28, 2024 (Staff)

With the Kicker 46CSC654 CS series 6 1/2" speakers Jose, each speaker can handle a maximum of 100-watts RMS.

Q
since these speakers are round, do they come with plastic adapters? only asking bc the last round speakers i bought came with these adapters and they rattle loudly and ruin the speaker sound. just want to make sure that if they do come with these, they are made well and wont rattle.
gavin  Dec 06, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Gavin. Thank you for your question. In most cases vehicles will need some type of adapter brackets. They are not included in the Kicker package. If available for the vehicle that these go in, we provide them free, made from 1/8th thick inch plastic. If your vehicle needs these adapter brackets, and you are concerned about a rattle, you can always place in some sound dampening material between the brackets and door, and brackets and speaker if there is room under the factory grilles.

Q
Will these speakers fit a 2023 Hyundai Palisade? Will any additional holes need to be drilled or any other modifications need to be made?
miguel  Nov 22, 2023
1 answer
A
These speakers can fit a 2023 Hyundai Palisade without needing to drill new holes. You will need brackets and harnesses, which would be included with a speaker purchase. Keep in mind, however, if your vehicle has the factory premium Harman Kardon, the factory speakers are 2-ohm and shouldn't be replaced with 4-ohm speakers like these. For help with selecting speakers, please reach out to our advisors via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
I have a 2018 xse toyota camry, Im planning to buy the Kicker 46CSC674 for my rear doors and I don't know if I should buy this one for the front doors or buy the same Kicker 46CSC674 for the front as well? Im trying to get the best sound system, clear with a really good bass with my factory stereo without the need to buy a subwoofer. And another question is if with those 4 speakers already upgraded should I upgrade the dash speakers as well or stay with the one that I have from factory? And if I do which one would be the best one?
ralsh  Nov 20, 2023
1 answer
A
I would be happy to help, Ralsh. These Kicker speaker options are exactly the same speaker performance wise, the 46KSC674 is a 6 3/4" bolt pattern speaker while the 46CSC654 is a 6 1/2" bolt pattern speaker. Both options fit in the front doors, so you can choose any combination you wish. Performance and features are identical as well as actual woofer size, the only difference is the bolt pattern on the rim of the speaker. I would also upgrade the dash speaker location with the matching Kicker 46CSC354 in the link below for the best sonic results. For overall bass performance, adding a subwoofer is always the best move. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20646CC354/Kicker-46CSC354.html

Q
I have a 2018 Nissan Frontier, and the stock speakers are 2 ohms. Will these speakers work alright in my truck?
t. c.  Sep 26, 2023
1 answer
A
These Kickers will fit and work with the factory radio but swapping in a 4-ohm speaker like the Kicker 46CSC654 will result in some volume loss, T.C. Sometimes this is no issue if you are not turning your radio up all the way now, but if you are using most of the volume knob with the original speakers it can be a big change. The Infinity Reference REF-6532ex in the link below also fits the front and rear doors on 2018 Frontiers and has a lower impedance to perform better with the original radio. You can even use the larger 6x9 option in the second link in the front door or most trim levels! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R6532EM/Infinity-Reference-REF-6532ex.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R9632IM/Infinity-Reference-REF-9632ix.html

Q
Acura RDX Aspec 2019. I am going to change the front two speakers with these ones should I be worried that my factory amp won't handle the new speakers or might have any problems on the way ?? Thank you
grizz  Sep 24, 2023
1 answer
A
It looks like the Kicker 46CSC654 fits in the front door locations of all trim level 2019 RDX's, Seldi. It appears that the 9-speaker, ELS Studio, and ELS Studio 3D audio packages all use a lower-impedance factory speaker. The amp would have no issues driving the Kicker's, however replacing the low-impedance factory speaker with a 4-ohm aftermarket speaker like the Kicker 46CSC654 will result in lower volume levels. We actually have specific 2-ohm replacement speakers that will keep the volume, check out the PowerBass OE-675 6 3/4" 2-way in the link below! The PowerBass are also a good fit and will not have a drastic volume drop when using the original amp. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_151OE675/PowerBass-OE-675.html

Q
Selected speakers to fit my 2013 silverado but says I need to remove the inner tabs of the aftermarket speaker bracket....what does that mean?
brandon  May 20, 2023
1 answer
A
I would be happy to help, Brandon. The Scosche SAGMHR-634 bracket that we include as a bonus (in the link below for reference) has small plastic tabs on the inside that will need to be removed for the Kicker speakers to fit. This step needs to take place to allow the speakers to mount properly inside the bracket, so make sure to remove those before mounting your new Kickers! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SMH634B/Scosche-SAGMHR-634-Speaker-Mounting-Brackets.html

Q
Your website says they will only fit the Front doors of my 2018 Tacoma Double cab. Is there an adapter available to make them fit in the Rear doors as well?
bryan  May 02, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Byran, and thank you for your question. The reason we are saying they will not fit the rear is they have a mounting height of 0.445 inches, and we measured under the factory rear grills having 0.404 inches. So they are close, and you can still order them for the rear, and attach the adapters for free. You will just get a warning stating they might have fitment issues.

Q
Can I install these but leave my stock tweeters up high in the door? Or will that be to much tweeter
chad  Apr 16, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Chad, and thank you for your question. In most cases installing the Kicker 46CSC654 speakers will still have the factory tweeters working as well. Will it be too much tweeter? For some it may be. If it is for you, some disconnect the factory tweeters.

Great question, Eric. If you have the non-Harmon Kardon 4 or 6 speaker 2021 Forte GT you can use the American International HKSB110 in the first link below, paired with the Metra 72-7302 harness in the second link below. The fantastic Kicker 46CSC654 CS series 6 1/2" speakers are a great fit for both the front door and rear door locations in your Kia and you get the brackets and adapters free with your order, it's a win-win! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541HKSB110/American-International-HKSB110.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120727302/Metra-72-7302-Speaker-Wiring-Harnesses.html

david  Dec 10, 2020
Q
I'm going to power two of these from an amp putting 65 rms into each. Rear speakers would be powered by factory head unit delivering probably 20 rms. For the rears, what would be better, these rated at 100 max rms, or cheaper speakers rated at 30 max rms? I would assume the kickers would be harder to move from a factory (low) powered head unit based on the higher rms rating.
eric  Nov 23, 2020
1 answer
A
A speakers sensitivity is used to gauge how well it will play with lower power like radio power. These speakers can work well on radio power. If the 30 watt RMS speakers have a higher sensitivity, then they will work better with radio power.

are these speakers as easy as take out old and plug in these , replace cover?
steven  Aug 17, 2019
4 answers
A
Yes, using the kit that comes with the speaker. Took the door panel off, snapped out the old speaker, attached the mounting kit provided by Crutchfield, then attached the new speaker and put the door panel back on. You will have to drill mounting holes for the kit to attach to the door, but I just used self tapping metal screws. Put them in a 2007 Honda Accord.
danny  Aug 19, 2019
A
Yes! They are plug and play.
javier  Aug 18, 2019
A
Depends if you have the necessary space to put cover on... as far as plug in, Crutchfield provides vehicle specific wiring aslong as it is factory... you should be able to plug right in to your factory speaker wiring
miguel  Aug 18, 2019
A
You need to be way more specific on your application. They will definitely fit if you take one of these out and put one in if that's your question.

My head unit puts out 22 RMS and sound really, really good for the price. I would think you should be fine with 16 RMS.
matthew  Aug 26, 2019
A
I've got these paired with a Kenwood KMM-BT225U which has a built in amp. The head unit puts out 22 watts RMS, 50 peak. I would imagine they'd sound just fine, but probably wouldn't have a lot of punch. Sound quality should be good though, they're great speakers.

Do they fit the the trunk speakers for a 2000 BMW 323i sedan?
steve  May 02, 2019

Sorry i'm not sure if they do, I have a 2008 Chevy Colorado crew cab. I replaced the front speakers with 6 3/4" Kickers and they fit like a champ just had to drill new holes.Later I found out the rears also use 6 3/4" speakers but I bought these 6 1/2" Kickers originally and I needed the adapter but had to trim the tags on it to make that adapter fit. I know it didn't exactly answer your question but maybe it'll help some with the sizing if anything. Good luck

Q
do these produce bass also in the rear doors of a 2007 dodge ram 1500 Quad cab with the 7 speaker system and navigation?
ruben  Apr 01, 2019
4 answers
A
They produce bass but it all depend on your system and what you are running... my factory pioneers hit harder then these but I also do not have a separate 4 way amp for my door speakers... they are decent and Kicker is a solid company... My advice is to Get the Specs of your factory speakers and go for double or triple the numbers in RMS, OHMs and Sensitivity etc...
miguel  Apr 04, 2019
A
Depends on the type of bass you are looking for. In short, yes. These speakers do produce a very adequate amount of bass for just being door speakers. However, your not going to get the sound and feel of a subwoofer out of substantially smaller speakers. But with your EQ dialed in just right I believe you would pleasantly surprised what these speakers will do. As far as rear to front doors there normally shouldn't be a difference as far as all 4 door speakers should be putting out the same amount of EQ value. Hope this helps!
mitchell  Apr 01, 2019

I have them in my front doors on my 19' ram classic, they produce some bass but it isn't like a subwoofer, however it is MUCH better than the stock ones.
