Your gateway to the powerful, crisp sound Klipsch is known for

The secret to the Klipsch sound is their Tractrix® horn-loaded tweeter. It reproduces high frequencies with great clarity and accuracy, and combined with their stunning copper-spun woofers, Klipsch Reference speakers can fill your listening room or home theater with beautiful sound.

Hi, I'm JR and we are here in the home Listening Room here in the in the labs at Crutchfield, and I am surrounded by Klipsch Reference speakers. So the Reference line of speakers can be used to set up anything from a 2-channel listening system to a full-on Dolby Atmos surround sound system. It's a full line of great sounding speakers.

Here are some of the things that are common amongst all of the Klipsch Reference speakers. The tweeters they use is a 1-in LTS, that's linear travel suspension tweeter for a nice crisp, clear sound with no distortion, and it's mounted into a tractrix horn. And that's kind of Klipsch's special sauce, if you will, is that horn mounted Tweeter that provides a nice, highly efficient sound focused right into your face.

Over on these speakers are copper spun IMG, that's injected molded graphite, so they are lightweight, they are rigid with low distortion. Most of the Klipsch Reference speakers are ported, on the larger speakers they use a tractrix horn port to reduce port noise, so that you do get increased bass without distortion. On some of the smaller speakers it is a tapered port for the same purpose.

So whether you are looking to build a 2-channel or a complete surround sound system with Klipsch Reference speakers, you can do it. Here is what you have to choose from. There's four floor standing models, the R-610F which has one 6 inch driver, or the R620F, these are the ones we installed here in our home Listening Room with two 6-inch drivers. Bigger sound, deeper bass.

If you want even bigger and even deeper you can go with the R820F with two 8 inch drivers or if you're looking to do Dolby Atmos you can go all the way to the R-625FA, which has speakers on the top facing up, that's what gives you the atmos surround effects above your head. If you're looking for bookshelf speakers, either for a really nice 2 channel audio system, or maybe you want to use them as the surrounds in a 5.1 or 7.1 or Dolby Atmos surround sound system you have two bookshelf models to choose from. The R-41M with a 4 inch driver, or the R51M, those are the ones we have installed here in this room. Slightly bigger woofer, bigger speakers, bigger surround speakers.

You have two powered subwoofers to choose from in the Klipsch Reference line either, either a 10 or a 12, the R-10SW or the R-12SW. The bigger your room, the more space you have to fill with sound, the bigger woofer you should go with.

You have two Center channels to choose from. They are the R-34C, or the one we have installed here in the home Listening Room, the R-52C with five and a quarter inch drivers for bigger sound. The bigger front floor standing speakers to go with the bigger center, and if you're doing Atmos or if you want dedicated surround speakers you have a couple choices. There are Dolby Atmos top speakers to be placed on top of your front floor standing speakers. Again, they fire up at the ceiling and back down at you for that Atmos surround affect. Those the R-41SA and if you're looking for dedicated rear surround speakers, you have the R-14S to choose from so you can really build a complete Dolby Atmos home theater system, or just a great-sounding 2-channel audio system. Either way, Klipsch Reference speakers have got you covered.

You have any questions on these speakers, anything home theater, really anything at all, give Crutchfield a call, chat with us online, send us an email. Hit us up so we can help you out.
