Not the greatest

Doesn't fit the contour of the center console, gaps between the top and bottom of the frame, plastic clips that are supposed to clip into the dash are not aligned so I had to cut them out, made it work as this isn't my first time working with flimsy trim set. Overall gets the job done just not beautifully

Pros: Gets the job done Holds the radio

Cons: Flimsy Does not fit without modification Gaps on top and bottom

Dash Kit - Not perfect fit

Ted from Portland, OR on 1/23/2017

Not the best fit in the dash. This trim kit has a curvature that doesn't match the curve of the dash on my 2007 C280. It looks ok, but not the clean fit look I was hoping for.

the dash kit is about 1-2mm too small vertically and the upper and lower connections are not robust enough and easy to snap off. More finagling reduced the gap, but it isn't perfect. Guessing there isn't much of a choice of vendors. If it was a solid piece or clipped in somehow, it might be better.

Pros: kinda stock looking. Crutchfield tech support

Cons: 1-2mm too short on the top/bottom for a perfect fit, top/bottom tabs are too flimsy and easy to snap off

It works

Luke from Austin, TX on 9/18/2015

It works, but the fit needs improvement.

Pros:

Cons: Doesn't quite line up with the other dash components. Plastic mounting plates are thick and required longer screws to fit the head unit. Thickness made for a very tight fit into the factory hole.

Face Plate Kit Mercedes C280

Tom from Ohio on 11/21/2014

This kit does the job. I wanted my stereo to look like it belonged in the car, not like it was simply put in the car. It did follow the contour of the dash like the factory stereo. I was a little disappointed in how the clips held the framework together on this kit. I super glued it together do that I wouldn't have to wrestle with it while I was fitting everything in my dash. I am happy with the look of the installation now that everything is complete.

Pros: Follows the contour of the factory dash.

Cons: A little flimsy on attaching to itself.

Does the job, but poor quality & construction

While installing a double din in my 07 C280 i used this kit. First off considering this is going into a Mercedes the quality of the plastic is not great, it feels cheap in my hand and like its going to break. Assembling the three parts together also proved to be a challenge and it seemed no matter how hard i tried i could not get the left side to click in like i did the right, it appeared the tab that is supposed to snap in was too large. Finally i get all this together and go to install in the car and it is a VERY tight squeeze. In the future I will spend more money to get a better quality kit and swap this one out. For now it'll do. Perhaps i am just too picky and this would suffice for some, but again It's a Mercedes, everything in the car is built to top notch specification and thats how i like to keep things.

Pros: Was free with the stereo i purchased from Crutchfield.

Cons: Poor quality, cheap feel. Lacks the same quality look that the rest of the interior has, and as another review had put it, it looks very aftermarket.

c230 in-dash kit

While the kit fits, it is low quality material. The top portion of the kit is flimsy and does not maintain its proper shape, leaving a visually bad aftermarket appearance.

Pros: easy to use

Cons: cheap materials
