This 4K-compatible receiver upscales HDMI video sources so you can enjoy more of your video content in stunning Ultra High Definition. You can expand your system with two HDMI outputs for watching the same video source on two different screens, plus wired and wireless options for playing music in different rooms.
The 'X2500H's built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth let you stream music from different sources. A phono input provides a convenient connection for a turntable. This powerful receiver even offers convenient playback of several different high-resolution audio formats through the front-panel USB port or a computer connected to your home network.
Built-in HEOS technology lets you access all your music — from your personal library, internet radio, and popular streaming services like Pandora®, Spotify®, and TIDAL — through the 'X2500H.
This receiver can be easily integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system. Stream music to HEOS wireless speakers and components in different rooms, and control each room's sound independently with the free HEOS app. The app lets you control playback, browse music sources, and select which rooms you want to use. Play the same music throughout your home, or listen to something different in each room.
The HEOS Home Entertainment skill for Amazon Alexa lets you use your Echo or Echo Dot to issue voice commands to the AVR-X2500H. You can easily switch inputs and control volume and playback on the receiver and other HEOS enabled devices. Alexa can also help you search for music and stream different content to different rooms in your multi-room HEOS system.
The 'X2500H has outputs for seven speakers, with assignable rear surround channels. If you aren't looking to set up a full 7.2 surround system, you can use these connections to power a pair of speakers outdoors or in another room and still enjoy 5.2-channel sound in your living room. You could also set up an immersive 5.1.2 Atmos system by adding a pair of Atmos enabled speakers, or bi-amp your front speakers for more powerful sound.

Cons:
Surround 5.1 for family room plus zone 2 for whole house. plenty of wattage. This system is perfect for the DIY project. Pro wanted four times as much suggesting a Bose and Sonos combo (crazy right?). This system is perfect, including apps and easy to use remotes and set up with Sony Bravia fed by Apple TV.
Pros: Power, sound quality an easy to install/use. Has analog Phono input for my vinyl collection!
Cons: none
Very robust product. Bit difficult to set up and I wish it integrated better with my Samsung TV.
Pros: Lots of features. Easy streaming from Apple products
Cons: Moderately difficult to set up. Didn't integrate well with Samsung TV.
This receiver was easy to set up and I used the Audyssey mic and settings. The on-screen set-up menu takes you through each step and it's very easy. The reason I'm giving 5-stars is the sound, it's outstanding. I had an older Denon receiver and I didn't realize what I was missing. I have 3 front and 2 back speakers plus a sub and a second zone with 2 speakers. I'm amazed at the quality and improvement over the old receiver. Plus I can now play my old vinyl records with the phono input. For me, it was worth every penny based on the great sound.
Pros: Easy set up, great sound - makes regular TV shows sound good.
Cons: None for me but I was already familiar with Denon and knew what to expect.
The equipment and service from Crutchfield was superb, as usual. Please don't let go that drive to be the best.

I like this AVR better than the ONKYO, I had. The remove app seems MUCH more stable. Easy set-up. Having to use 2 apps to stream music. Really! Would recommend.

Cons: Have to down load Denon and Heos app. Connecting streaming music was cumbersome.
