My box is pretty heavy, about 150lbs. If I used bolts to secure a individual strap to each side; would these hold up safely?

I would use something more sturdy because of the weight of the box

Initially yes. You won't be able to tuck the straps flat. But I think over time they may wear out, stretch and break.

I read this does not come with the screws for mounting, what is the size of the opening? Also, are screws that fit on the website?

Coarse thread drywall screws at least 1 5/8".
