In-dash music haven

JVC's KW-R935BTS CD receiver combines today's latest audio technologies with simple controls to deliver an immersive sonic experience while you're on the road. Highlights include Bluetooth® wireless capabilities for multiple phones, control over Internet radio stations using a linked smartphone, and versatile audio processing options to zero in on the right sound. And JVC backs up this receiver with a 2-year warranty.

Bluetooth for multiple phones

For the times when you're sharing the ride, the KW-R935BTS enables you to pair two Bluetooth-equipped phones and quickly switch between them for hands-free calling. And when you're streaming audio, JVC's Streaming DJ feature lets you pair five phones so everybody can pick their tunes for the ultimate road trip playlist. You can also control this car stereo directly from your iPhone® or Android™ phone using JVC's free Remote app.

Select your music

Connect your Android or iPhone to this JVC's front- or rear-panel USB inputs, and you can control your music and charge your phone. Using your connected iPhone, you can even control and enjoy the playlists you've created on Pandora®, iHeartRadio®, or Spotify®. Don't worry Android users, you can control these Internet radio stations using Bluetooth. The USB port also enables you to connect a flash drive filled with MP3, WMA, WAV, and high-res FLAC music files for hours of listening pleasure.

Even more music at your fingertips

Into radio? You can also connect a SiriusXM tuner for deep satellite radio programming that won't fade away when you head out of town. The front auxiliary input also provides a handy connection if you want to hook up a portable high-res audio player or another device. And, of course, you can also pop in a CD or tune in your favorite local AM and FM stations.

JVC KW-R935BTS CD receiver

Shake things up with variable color settings in two zones on this JVC receiver.

Tweak the sights and sounds

Once you've got the music going, you can shape your sound with this stereo's 13-band graphic equalizer and time alignment. JVC's K2 technology spruces up the sound of any digital music by expanding the compressed bit rate. If you're adding amplifiers or a powered subwoofer, the three sets of 4-volt preamp outputs provide you the clean signal you need for added output. To rev up or tone down the look in your dash, you can assign different colors to two separate areas of the display for just the right look in your dash, or keep them all the same color for a unified look.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

The USB port does not work for my phone. I had issues connecting, but when you read the fine print you see that android connect only works for Android 4.1 - 7.X. So if your phone has updated its OS or was made after August 2017, you're probably not going to be able to use it. I was very much looking forward to the better sound quality and being able to charge with one cord. Extremely disappointed, and will not be buying JVC/Kenwood products again. The radio other than that works fine, but that is the feature I was most looking forward to.

Great upgrade from factory head unit. Easy to install, navigate menus, customize colors, etc. I especially like the USB and AUX port right on the front of the unit and that the USB recognizes MP3 on a thumb drive.

Pros: Easy, large display, customize colors, USB and aux on front, microphone and BT

Cons: Haven't found any so far!

1997 Silverado install went perfectly. Very happy with the JVC unit. The display can be can be color tuned to match the dash. The only complaint..there is no scroll feature(that I can find) in USB for folders. 1 push per folder is a drag. Outside of that, this thing is fantastic deck. My set up=factory speakers(door components) + rear 5x7s...300watt kicker amp and 10"sub. This is perfect for my pickup. Thanks Crutchfield!

Pros: Accepted 128gig sub drive Cool color choices Easy control layout Easy EQ is the best I've seen yet

    Cons: No usb scroll feature

Great radio, easy to install. I don't use the usb cord, but it's nice to have just in case. Most of the set up is straightforward, though the time always seems to be five minutes fast regardless of how many times I reset the clock.

Pros: Great sound Bluetooth pairing/connection is quick and reliable Lots of equalizer tweaking for audiophiles

Cons: Can't hang up phone calls, only put them on hold as far as I can tell Microphone sound quality can be dicey at times

Beautiful device. Pretty easy to program. Sounds great but feels like it misses the high highs and low lows a bit. Also some distortion at the highest volume but I assume that's because I am pushing sound through stock speakers?

For the money this receiver is pretty nice. Lots of features and not that hard to navigate the menus, in my opinion. I'm not sure I needed the 935 model over other KW's but for the small price increase, I figured why not. I'm still working on getting the equalizer settings tuned for the "User" settings but I'm happy with several of the other presets and frequently will try them out on different music. Overall, this was an easy upgrade and it's fun to learn how to get the most out of it.

Pros: Lots of features, great price.

Cons: Haven't really found any yet.

Nice stereo, I have actually had JVC car stereos since I can remember (which is a really long time). I Lots of features, very adjustable, the car phone works great, sounds great to the person I am talking to and the incoming audio is great too. A few years ago I installed 2 stereos in 2 cars, a JVC for me and another top brand someone picked for the other car, several years later and the other brand broke so I installed this JVC as a replacement, I made a good choice.

Fantastic head unit - tons of features and excellent sound for the price. I like that it looks a little more professional than some of the gaudy looking units other companies make, especially in this price range. JVC really got it right! It's been years since I've used a JVC, though the one in my mom's old car is still going strong after like... 10 years of service, so I expect it to hold up well. My only complaint is that while it does have a lot of options in terms of settings and EQ, the way the menus are laid out it's a little difficult to manage and set up. I like Pioneer's approach a lot better. In comparison JVC gives you slightly more control but it's far less intuitive. Bluetooth on the JVC works flawlessly, unlike the Kenwood head unit in my other vehicle that requires retrying the connection each time I start up the vehicle. On par with Pioneer's Bluetooth functionality.

Pros: Unbeatable features and sound quality for the price. Looks professional. Bluetooth connectivity works well. Large volume knob that you press for pause/play so no hunting for little buttons.

Cons: Hard to set up, configuration menus are very complicated and not intuitive at all.

Finally decided to get rid of the OEM unit in my 2009 Forester. After 10 years, I couldn't take it any more. Got this JVC unit on sale. Great price for all of the outstanding features. Installed it all myself in one morning using Crutchfield's Master Sheet Installation Instructions. Wired the harness myself, which was easy with the supplied instructions for the harness and the steering wheel control adapter. The finished install looks and works like it was done at the factory. The Bluetooth Audio sounds great and the USB connection works well with my Android phone and the JVC Music Play App. The JVC KW-R935BTS has a multitude of audio settings which allow you to tailor the sound to your cars acoustics. Paired this unit with four JVC CS-DR620 speakers and a Kenwood KSC-SW11 compact subwoofer. I am very happy with my purchase!

Pros: Inexpensive, lots of features, good sound quality.

Cons: Face plate is too glossy and shows finger prints too easily.

Just EASILY installed my JVC-R935 radio and it is GREAT! More than replaces the factory unit in my 2001 Toyota Sequoia. My JBL system never sounded this good. Terrific sound and ease tuning stations, instantly Bluetooth synced with my iPhone for hands-free phone and alignment with my music library. Pandora, Spotify and iHeart stations as well. Looking forward to trying SIRIUS too! Working with Crutchfield support staff was a fine experience as well. THANKS!

Great head unit for the price. Bracket and harness from Crutchfield were perfect. Had a hand written note on the wire harness papers that the dimmer (orange) wire had to be tapped to the cars blue/grey wire. It made me a little nervous as I saw a few blue/grey wires in different wire bundles, but I tapped the closest one in hazard button wire bundle and it worked like a champ. Great, Great sound!!! Love the radio, and appreciate the help your team gave me. Once I killed the gremlins under the dash, it was a snap! Now ordering all new speakers.

Pros: Original radio/CD player was dying and eating my Dave Stamey CD's. This and new speakers are the last part of my 2002 F-350, crew cab, turbo rebuild, and the best part! Love this radio!

Have to cycle through all sources multiple time to connect phone, connection randomly dropped, display is so dim I can't read anything when there is a sun glare. Returning this and never buying a JVC again. Should have bought a Kenwood Excelon like I always do but they didn't have a double din with a rear usb like I wanted.

can not see display in day light. the reason i went with the 4 inch was so i'd get a bigger display. it is bigger, just can't see it. i had thought about asking tech, before i bought, the pros and cons of a 4 inch. i didn't. my bad. found out too late, a 4 inch is not the way to go for display or brightness. this review is no reflection on Crutchfield. i've lost count of the cd players i've bought from them over the years. tech support is always great.

    Pros: blue tooth.

Outstanding Radio Unit and Great Support from Crutchfield

Bought this radio to replace the factory unit that came with the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with the Infinity system. Ordered the unit with Crutchfield's Advanced Ready Harness. Installation was quite easy and the Ready Harness made connecting the new unit a cinch. The bluetooth connection works perfect and the entire unit looks very good in the car and has improved the sound tremendously (I did not replace the factory speakers). The part that took the longest was the initial removal of the Infinity grill/cover (covering a speaker) on the top dash, but I should note that the instructions provided by Crutchfield indicated that this grill was quite tight from the factory. Other than that, everything went very smooth. Strongly recommend this JVC unit and most of all, Crutchfield service and technical support. Special kudos to Joey for his great assistance in ordering and for recommending the Ready Harness--that was money well spent

Pros: Sounds great, two usb outlets, and bluetooth works very well with iPhone 6.

Cons: None that I've found so far.

    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I replaced my daughter's factory unit in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, mainly to get better sound out of her sub (had to tap into the rear speakers with the factory unit and the sound just wasn't where it needed to be). My daughter gives it 5 stars because she LOVES it (more on my opinion later). We were planning on replacing the factory speakers as part of the upgrade but decided not to. The factory speakers' sound with this unit was a significantly noticeable improvement. Overall, it is a pretty good radio for the price. Menus are easy to figure out (installed it, navigated through the menu options, tweaked it the way I/she wanted it, and never had to touch the manual). Sound quality is pretty good especially compared to the factory unit. Available options/settings are about par with this class of radio although would like to have a 3-line display since it should have plenty of room for it considering it is double DIN. My only real complaint is that I have noticed that picking up FM stations is a bit weak compared my Kenwood and her factory unit. She hasn't said anything to me, so I guess it is ok, but it would bother me. If I were rating it for my daily use, I would probably drop it a star for that. Overall, pretty dang good unit. I would consider buying it again but probably would go with the comparable Kenwood next go around. While they are almost the same unit, just seem to get more "mileage" out of the Kenwood.

Pros: Great price Great sound Easy to use

Cons: Tuner seems a bit weak

2012 Honda Fit GE8. Nice radio. Logical layout for an older (50's) guy. Good sound. More EQ options than I need, but no complaints. Rear USB and Bluetooth work great. I yanked on the microphone cable in a really bad way while routing it under my steering wheel and dash, and then after that for some reason the bt mic for phone calls didn't work right. Duh. I bought a new aftermarket mic online (no comment where...) and now the bt mic works great. Typical glare from an aftermarket shiny display. You must mount this so that you are looking down or straight at it as the LCD display is optimized for this. If your dash is angled so you are looking up at it you will see very little in bright sunlight. I made my own glare shield visor cause the Fit is like a freaking fishbowl, the windshield is so huge. I am happy with it now and might add a compact sub in the future. If I had to do it again I would probably buy this again, or the next unit down without the rear USB (did I mention Bluetooth streaming rocks?).

Pros: Nice unit, logical, does everything I wanted, Bluetooth works great.

Cons: Be aware of the viewing angle for the display, it is optimized for looking down at it or straight at it.

Really like everything about the unit, huge upgrade from factory. Like the double DIN chassis for the look in the dash and the extra display size. Only thing I don't care for, is that when the vehicle is cold (I live in NW Iowa), the unit sometimes is slow to come on and link to my phone or even turn on. Would recommend the unit though, really like the features.

Pros: Great sound, easy to use, 2 usb outlets, bluetooth works good.

Glad I picked this head unit. Why I love it-It's got buttons. Easy to read, easy to navigate and understand the menu. Set up was fun, I've never had a stereo that had so much customization and technology, like the ability to change the color of the unit, manipulation of the sound and how the color of the head unit turns blue when a phone call is coming in and speaking of phone calls, I sound a lot clearer than I did on the OE set up. The sound quality of the JVC surpassed my expectations. I have 2 sets of Kicker 6x8's in the front and rear doors. The front speakers are component style and a powered sub in the hatch. The metal gods are happy! The rear USB cable is super convenient. I drilled a hole in a panel just to the right of the JVC (while it was not installed) and slipped it into the glove box. Works great and the USB is out of the way.The detailed instructions were very helpful and face kit was a perfect fit. A big thanks to the Crutchfield team for making this an informative and fun experience.

Links up quickly via bluetooth to my samsung galaxy S7 and allows me to either change music via my phone or on the head unit. I really like this unit for several reasons: -- It has 31 levels of brightness for both day and night modes. Both are excellent -- bright enough during the day and not at all intrusive at night -- something that appears to be a real problem for many other upper end models in one mode or the other. -- This particular model includes pre-amp RCA outputs for a subwoofer. Lower level JVC units only offer 4 channels. -- The face is presented cleanly but not overly flashy. Most-used buttons like memories, tuning, phone, power, and equalizer presets are all large and easy to read. -- Both front and rear USB ports. -- 4V pre-amp -- FM sensitivity is better than my stock radio -- You can turn off unused sources. -- Has about 20 different levels of mic gain for the phone. -- Bluetooth functions work great. Things you may want to consider, but were in no way showstoppers for me: -- The main text portion of the display is white only. -- No HD tuner. -- Wireless remote not incl. My only real complaint would have to be the LED light bars running vertically and along the bottom. Others may like them, but I like the classic look without all the pizazz. I knew this going in and already had a plan. I taped them over with black electrical tape and trimmed the outside edges with a razor blade. The light bars are very thin and you won't even notice the incredibly small amount of tape at a distance of more than 10 inches --

First, I ran into a few problems with my install and crutchfield was quite helpful helping everything get squared away. So I looked up many of the double din recievers and was sick of reading all the reviews over and over, so I went with this unit because it had no reviews. I took a shot in the dark. It appeared to be sleek and simple, and thats exactly what it is. I'm not a huge fan of the spaceship feel to many of the other units. User friendly. Sounds great. I had a bose sound system installed already in my 2006 chevy silverado 2500 and it has complimented it perfect. You can turn on/off the different sources as well which is nice so you don't have to cycle through unncessary or unused sources. For instance I would rather control spotify through my phone rather than the reciever so I can just turn the rear source off and run it bluetooth, but still charge my phone from the rear usb at the same time. It does take about 12-14 seconds for bluetooth to pick up and play from where you last started if you shut your car on and off. Thats probably my only semi-complaint but it doesn't bother me. Menu is easy and friendly. Buttons feel good. Not a gaudy look at all. Steering wheel controls all still work perfect. Overall I am a happy camper with this JVC unit. I

Pros: Easy menu / navigation Turn sources on/off as you please Bluetooth Phone works well with external mic USB charging to phone from rear (all cords nice and hidden) Good looking and simple

Cons: Takes about 12-14 seconds for bluetooth music to return after car is turned on/off

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The JVC KW-R935BTS is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 3.0, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile) & PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) & AVRCP 1.5 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the JVC KW-R935BTS. Check here for the latest Bluetooth compatibility information.

SSP & USB Pairing: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the JVC KW-R935BTS without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. You can even pair your Apple iPhone (iOS 5+) or Android smartphone (running JVC Music Play App) by simply connecting it to the JVC head unit via USB and following a single prompt on the head unit's display.

    • Dual Phone Connection: Thanks to the Dual Phone Connection feature, two Bluetooth-enabled phones can remain connected to the JVC receiver. This means you can an answer an incoming call from either phone from the head unit. Also, both of your phone's contact lists are downloaded to the receiver. To make a call from one of the phones using the JVC receiver, you simply have to select Phone 1 or Phone 2 on the head unit's front-panel.
    • Streaming DJ: The new Streaming DJ feature allows five Bluetooth audio source devices to be connected to the JVC receiver at one time, so you can switch between Bluetooth playback sources a lot easier and quicker. While "BT Audio" source is selected on the head unit, you can simply press the music playback button on your connected Bluetooth source devices to switch between devices and begin music playback. However, you cannot stream audio from two different Bluetooth audio source devices at the same time or combine music libraries or playlists from two different connected devices.
Note: You can pair up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices to the JVC head unit. When an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The head unit supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. And thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the KW-R935BTS provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The controls of the KW-R935BTS can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also includes an external microphone (with mounting bracket) featuring adjustable gain, so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers. During a conversation, you can switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering A Call: When a call comes in, a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker and the caller's name or phone number will be displayed. You can answer the call from the head unit's front-panel controls, or setup the head unit to automatically answer the incoming call immediately or after 1-30 seconds. The KW-R935BTS also supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible cell-phone must also support this feature.
    • Dialing A Number: Using the KW-R935BTS, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:
      • Enter Phone #: Allows you to directly dial a phone number up to 32 digits from the head unit's front-panel rotary dial.
      • Preset Dialing: You can store up to 6 contacts in the memory of this unit for speed dialing.
      • Phone Book: You can download phone book data from your mobile phone to the CD receiver. You can then dial a contact within the phonebook from the head unit's front-panel controls. Your phonebook can be searched alphabetically or numerically.
      • Call History: The Call History is a list of calls that have originated from and were received by this unit that you can dial. You can select Outgoing, Incoming, or Missed calls.
      • Voice Dialing: If your mobile phone supports voice recognition, then you can dial out by voice command. Simply speak into the included microphone once you have activated the voice dialing function from the head unit's front-panel.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The JVC KW-R935BTS supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or audio player, plus song/artist information display. You are able to stream your stored music library on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, as well as music apps downloaded on your smartphone to the JVC KW-R935BTS for playback.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KW-R935BTS in-dash CD receiver utilizes a 24-bit (DAC (digital-to-analog converter) for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The JVC KW-R935BTS is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power output specs for the KW-R935BTS are as follows:

    • Full Bandwidth Power: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20-20kHz, 1% THD)
    • Maximum Output Power: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amp Gain: When you are using the KW-R935BTS with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 25 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 35.

6ch/4V Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The KW-R935BTS features front, rear and subwoofer 4-volt preamp outputs. The front and rear speaker preamp outputs are balance and fade adjustable. The subwoofer preamp output is non-fading and offers independent level control (-50 to +10).

    • Media Player: The application's Media Player screen lets you playback your device's stored music library through the JVC receiver. From the app on your Apple iOS or Android device, you can control basic playback functions like Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track and Repeat/Random. The Android version of the app even lets you browse your music library by category (Song/Album/Artist/Playlist/Mood). Song, artist, and album information (along with Album Art) will displayed on your Apple iOS or Android device's touchscreen.
    • App Launcher (Android only): The App Launcher feature of the Android version of the JVC Remote app lets you access 3rd party applications within the JVC Remote app's user interface. The App Launcher can contain up to 24 of your favorite apps for quick access.
    Notes:
    • You will need to indicate within the head unit's menu what type of device (Apple iOS or Android) you'll be using the JVC Remote App on before the application will connect and function with the receiver.
    • When using the JVC Remote App with your compatible Apple iOS device, the application and device must be connected to the receiver via Bluetooth (not USB) for playback of Bluetooth audio. For playback of a USB-direct connection from an Apple iOS device, the device and application must be connected to the head unit via USB (not Bluetooth).

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input wire (blue/yellow) within the included wiring harness that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately).

Optional Wireless Remote: The KW-R935BTS can be controlled wirelessly from JVC's RM-RK52 IR remote control (sold separately; not available at Crutchfield).

Looks like a great unit for the price JVC has always been a great brand, high quality. [ Travis  Apr 20, 2019 ]

Everywhere I searched, this JVC was called the best CD Receiver (2 Din) for any price and the digital sound field processing was top drawer. JVC and Kenwood are the same company now and share technologies, so at this sale price with speakers there was nothing else to consider. [ John  Apr 03, 2019 ]

I like JVC. I've had great luck with their head units. I put a JVC Arsenal deck, (hmmmm, from Crutch actually!) in my other vehicle, about 9-10 yrs ago and it's still rocking strong. Hopefully that trend continues... [ Vernon  Aug 15, 2018 ]

I got this item based on iHeart and Pandora controls and other features when paired with my cell phone. Main reason I chose this radio over the other ones with similar features was the location and size of buttons for phone and source controls. Also, the station buttons will be easy to select. I liked this unit because it's not quite as busy or flashy as some, with actual buttons to push. I liked the fact that it has a rear USB port for flexibility, plus it has a longer warranty than some units I looked at. Of course it has to fit my car, but Crutchfield says it will! I did a lot of searching, and ultimately it came down to whether or not I wanted a rear camera and GPS navigation, and I did not. This was the best receiver with CD and digital music, android control - and super importantly - it plays 24 bit FLAC files! So I can have hi-res music in my truck without connecting a player, just using the back USB. I am pretty excited I will follow up when it all shows up - I got the Sirius XM adapter, steering wheel adapter, dash conversion kit, and pre-wiring. [ Michael  Feb 16, 2018 ]

I looked at several other brands on other websites, crutchfield had the best choices and reviews, prices very good. This jvc got my attention it was what I was looking for, priced right. [ Donna  Dec 13, 2017 ]

After comparing the other receivers in the $100.00 to $200.00 price range, I believe the JVC KW-R935BTS offered the cleanest appearance and best feature for the money. Even though it might not have an included wireless remote or HD radio, in my past experience, I barely use a wireless remote with my car receiver and any other feature that might not be present is not necessary. It is more of a preference or convenience for the people that might need it or for those that like to have everything. [ SAMUEL  Nov 24, 2017 ]

I have voice control on my Kia optima on my steering wheel, as in the ability to call someone when I press the button and say call (name). will this be able to pair to the call button on the stereo?

You have to purchase the box to go with the sterio based on your vehicle. Without the extra steering wheel control box no it wont. The box keeps all your steering wheel buttons functioning. A must have now days.

Is the steering wheel control wiring/plug compatible with a 2004 Mazda 3 stock steering wheel control? My car already has a controller built in so I don't want to buy a separate one for the new stereo.

The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

How do I pair it with Bluetooth to Android? It says, "VOL YES, BACK NO". Turning volume knob does nothing. Volume on phone doesn't work either

It should ask you to pair it Then did you try to push the volume button in instead of turning it? Hope that helps.Enter

    1) In the settings of the radio you have to tell it if you have an Android or iOS 2) I've only been able to control mine when it's actually connected to the radio via usb

Dont turn the volume knob, push it once for yes. We have this sterio in 2 vehicles. It works best if you have some read the direction and the other person do them. As you have to move fairly quickly. Be patient it will work. I have Lg G5 and my husband had a samsung galaxy S5, now he has galaxy S8+. All three are paired and work great. Good luck. Crutchfield chat is amazing too if all else fails. We have had zero issues. I do wish the volume went above 25 though.

There are 2 zones. Zone1 is shown in blue and zone 2 is shown in green. This thing is amazing! The colors may be adjusted to almost any color and to zones may match to be the same color. Brightness is adjustable via a day and night setting. Im liking this more and more.

Im sorry JW. My truck is in the deep freeze right now and it is virtually iced shut and I have not had enough time to try it out. As soon as I can find out I will let u know. Sounds very nice with the kicker speakers I bought. However, I am wishing I had space for a powered subwoofer. I think that would help it with a little more base from the already crisp clean and full sound.

I have this sterio i vehicles. Yes you can program for it all to be one color. In our truck its bluegreen to match the gauges. In our car its red to match those gauges. It has settings for day and night. Been running JVC for years.
