Android users welcome

JVC's remote control app lets you use your compatible Android phone's touchscreen to control the action using finger swipes and gestures. With your Android phone safely attached to a mount, you can reach down and skip a track without taking your eyes off the road. Android® users can access Pandora®, Spotify®, and iHeartRadio® through the Bluetooth connection — no wires needed. You can control your favorite stations using your voice, your phone, or the receiver itself.

Also awesome for Apple

If you're an iPhone® user, this receiver gives you more than wireless control — you get voice control, too. Talk to Siri® Eyes Free technology to make calls, choose music, get directions, and more. Anything you can do with Siri can be done with this receiver.

Get into satellite radio

If you love radio, you can connect a SiriusXM® tuner (sold separately) to your KW-X830BTS and start enjoying the wide variety of music, sports, news, and entertainment. If you haven't experienced satellite radio, you'll be blown away by the incredible selection of programs, and you can drive cross-country without losing your favorite channels.

Sound and style that's all you

The KW-X830BTS plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and even high-resolution FLAC files, so you'll be able to enjoy all kinds of tunes when you travel. You'll find a wide array of sound-shaping tools, including Sound Response to boost frequencies in digital files, Space Enhancement to match the sound to the size of your car, and a 13-band graphic equalizer. The Volume Link EQ boosts specific frequencies in the audio signal to compensate for increased road noise as you drive faster. The variable-color display lets you choose the look you like, and you can assign different colors to two zones.

Go hands-free with built-in Bluetooth®

Automatic pairing makes it a lot easier to enjoy hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, no matter what kind of phone you're using. You can also pair two phones at once, so you don't have to choose between the personal phone and the work phone when you're driving.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Perfect

    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Works great with my new JVC speakers. Everything works and sounds great. The menus are relatively easy to navigate. I really like the Spotify control, works great for navigating through your library right on the stereo. Hands free phone is very nice and clear. I mounted the microphone to the headliner right above me, seems to work great and there is plenty of cord to do so. The radio even syncs your contacts and recent calls which makes it easy to call people. The voice control doesn't want to work with the google assistant on my phone, but this doesn't bother me too much.

Pros: Colors are cool, connects to phone immediately, controls Spotify and Pandora, radio is clear, looks and feels professional.

Cons: Voice control is spotty for me.

Nice unit for the money. I like that you can hide sources that you don't use, so that when you press the source button on the unit you're not constantly having to toggle through sources that you don't use. I wish it had a dimmer switch on the front instead of in the settings menu.

Funky Light Show In Your Car

Crutchfield customer from Anaheim, CA on 4/29/2019

    2015 Nissan Versa Note

    Verified customer (What's this?)
    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I replaced my daughters factory radio that went out in her 2015 Versa Note. I opted for the double din to fill in the space and with the kit and harness that was included, it fit in perfectly. All I replaced was the head unit so the speakers are all factory and this may be why the music isnt too loud. Maybe in the future I will upgrade her speakers and add a subwoofer as it does have pre-amp outputs. The display is great and makes it easy to read when driving. Bluetooth does take a few seconds to reconnect when the vehicle is turned on. Havent tried the hands free calling yet but I assume it works fine. All in all a decent upgrade to her stock radio. I give the stereo a 4 because the menu isnt intuitive at all. At least not for me.

    Pros: Large Display

GREAT. The agents are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and agreeable. Installation went very smoothly (I'd rate myself 7/10 capable of DIY install); with the harnesses they include, it was pretty painless. Their policies are great - totally geared to the customers' satisfaction - and the tech support is incredible. Crutchfield is what the "online giant" could be if they'd grow up and start caring about their customers' experience instead of their profit margin. As far as this particular system: it's everything I expected: the JVC is perfect for me (an old-school knob-twiddler).I didn't want anything too complex. Having a real volume knob (which doubles as a selector in the various menu modes) is great. If I have any complaint, it's that - as an old-school guy - I found making adjustments and settings a bit complex. Lots of menus to navigate. It's a quick learning curve.but it's still a lot to handle. This also goes for navigating your sound sources (iPod, USB drive, etc) when trying to search for or select a particular album or song. But I strongly suspect that as I 'put miles' on this system, it'll become pretty natural. I also found the Bluetooth/iPhone functions to be very complex, but again, I expect that to get easier. Sometimes the unit takes it's time moving from one function to another, like when you insert a USB library or attach an iPod.it takes time to search/read the source and have it available for use/browsing/etc. Versatile, and not too complicated. Sounds

Pros: Easy install. Great sound. Excellent features. Very versatile/configurable.

Cons: Setup/settings hard to learn. Slow reading of audio sources.

I love my new car radio, sound is great, graphics, (except during the day doesn't bright too much)very easy to use. Instructions were a little complicated for somebody that doesn't know about matching cables and stuff. We found and expert and they did it in 30 minutes. I wish there are videos showing exactly what to do. A technician was available aver the phone but he was too technical for our knowledge.

Pros: The sound and its easy to use.

Hooks to an iPhone 8+ with ease and does a nice job with hands free calling and music streaming. Paired with a factory JBL amp and speakers and it sounds like I upgraded the entire system! I've had this headunit in my truck for about 10 months now and I'm still perfectly pleased with it's performance. All I wanted to do was add bluetooth and aux input capability to my truck because the factory stereo only played AM/FM and CD. This fit the bill on all levels, great price, easy install, idiot proof controls, and something that I really like, a BIG volume dial! I despise buttons or touchscreens for volume, it's too counter-intuitive in a vehicle and even a bit unsafe. This only puts out 22w rms, but paired with my 20w factory speakers, I'm getting a much higher quality sound than before. My doors are sound-deadened and sealed now, and you would think I have 3 times the power that I do, especially in the mid bass frequencies. If you focus on quality installation and proper enclosures, you can get a lot of bang for your buck in a headunit like this one. I've never had a Bluetooth connectivity issue, it pairs every time I get in the truck. The adjustable colors are great, I've adjusted it so that the headunit is perfectly matched to my Tacoma's red gauges so almost looks factory in that regard. There is a setting that the headunit will change colors to the beat of the music, but I find it gimmicky and cheap, but can't knock it as you can set it to stay the color you choose. For tuning, I'm blown away by all the parameters you can adjust for the price, tons of EQ options. Said and done, this is by far the best headunit in this price range

Pros: -Simple, intuitive interface -Can perfectly match your car's gauge colors -Lots of EQ settings for dialing in your sound -Lightweight design -Bluetooth is rock solid -BIG volume dial!

Cons: I off road frequently and have noticed there are a few specks of dust behind the display. Probably not an issue for a road car, but I spend A LOT of time on dirt roads. It's a great headunit, but know that you are not buying top of the line, so don't expect a luxury feel in the buttons, however, functionally, mine has been flawless.

it is ok. Bluetooth setup can be troublesome. High volume creates distortion, but is acceptable for that price. One main complaint is the EQ. I set it at custom, but it is easily changed to another setting. The EQ setting and menu buttons are the same. If you dont hold it down long enough, the EQ will change. Instructions from Crutchfield were, as always, spot on.

Pros: Price ease of install color options (teenager loves the changing light) decent screen automatic nighttime dimmer

Cons: EQ/Menu button is same button Bluetooth difficult to set up

2010 Prius here. I got the trim and steering wheel control converter. The instructions were a bit vague and I had to use my head a bit, but everything worked on the first go. Stereo is great if you are okay with a WIDE variety of menus and settings. I particularly like the "random all folders" setting for my USB drive. There are some pretty fun color settings also, and since my son will soon be driving the car, he'll appreciate that. Phone calls sound better than on my old car Bluetooth, and I've been told I don't sound much different (I mounted the mic on the stearing column. I was worried about the sound, and if the HU would power the base speakers in the back seat area, but after adjusting the fader to about - 9 it balanced out pretty well. Hope this helps someone ??

I have a very similar Kenwood unit in my other vehicle, so I was happy to find this one had all the same features and was as easy to navigate through the controls and settings. Plenty of power for use in my truck, and love the convenience of the radio being able to read from my phone for Pandora, so I don't even need to pull it out of my pocket. This receiver, and the speakers I purchased, were recommended by Chad at Crutchfield and he did a great job of hooking me up with a system that is everything I could want or need, and for less than $200 (special 1/2 price deal on the speakers).

This was the first car stereo that I have installed on my own. At first the directions on the Master Sheet seemed a bit overwhelming, but as soon as I tackled the task step by step everything came together strikingly easily. I was actually a little shocked when I started the car up for the first test and the stereo, steering wheel controls, and bluetooth worked perfectly (I was expecting SOMETHING to have gone wrong). The unit sounds great and is very user friendly. Plus the dual-tone color options are great!

Looks like it's going to fit well, and hopefully sound great, but I won't know till the end of the month because I have to get a pro shop to finish the install because the wiring harnesses are messed up and I don't have the adapters for the fiber optic connections to the amp. This is a major screw up on the part of Crutchfield's recommended install parts and it's going to cost me more than I paid for this radio to get it installed right. Not a happy camper on this.

Definite improvement over the factory radio in the 04 Focus. Love the amount of settings to personalize the sound and display. Never heard this kind of sound in this car before! For the most part, I like this receiver a lot. I keep a 32GB (I believe that is the max it can read) mini thumb drive plugged into it with almost all of my music on there. I can set the USB to Random, and it feels like I never hit the same song twice. A couple of issues: 1) I set the display to show the Clock, but it often goes into a mode where it blinks the Equalizer output in that area. I don't know why. Could be a bug. 2) After setting the K2 Technology, the low volume settings are nice and loud, but as I turn the volume up louder, there isn't much power left to crank up more. Kind of strange.

We picked this JVC for the USB input and the number of files and folders it can handle - 999 folders, 20480 files. Our previous solution, a USB player and cassette adapter, had a 2000 file limit, something we learned AFTER we bought it. Also the double DIN made for a bigger display than a single DIN, easier to read, and the big buttons are easy to use. This is the second Crutchfield car stereo we installed this year; prior to this my last install was back in the 70's. Crutchfield made it easy to install in our 2005 Toyota Highlander (JBL, no Nav). We kept the steering wheel controls and the factory amp. The Crutchfield complete kit with ReadyHarness was a real help - no soldering, no crimping, just plug and play - well worth the money. The Axxess interface synced automatically to our steering wheel switches. We got it installed tonight and it looks and sounds so much better now. Now we just have to cipher out all the options!

Pros: Well featured, easy installation, looks & sounds great

I really like it, nice and simple with lots of options. Like anybody that really pays attention to their music the aux for sure sounds better than bluetooth. Bass gets really boomy and looses definition. Which is just bluetooth, not this unit. It sounds good enough to use though. A couple things about this unit... when you adjust the eq like treble up it ducks the audio for 1 second not exactly sure about that... If you like to adjust your eq it's odd. I wouldn't quite say I'm too annoyed with it. But I'm not sure why you would do that? "Hey JVC engineers, what should we do, were almost done here. Oh I know, every time you turn up the volume we should make it light dance and duck audio for 10 seconds, for science n stuff." It doesn't actually do that.... but yeah. Bluetooth studders sometimes out of the box... but I havent had it do it while driving around... did I mention the downsides to using bluetooth yet? One thing about this unit I don't get. The USB doesn't work. Using a common phone the Galaxy S7. I can browse through menus, it says it's playing but no audio. Look at the reviews for the JVC app.. it's terrible. You can only browse through the reciever once you do this.

Pros: Look, sound, settings I love having SETTINGSSSSS PRECIOUS, colors are a bonus, aux sounds great, bluetooth is pretty decent. Overall I'm pretty happy with this reciever.

Cons: Usb w JVC app doesn't even work w Galaxy S7 edge.

I got this to replace an approximately 18 month old single-DIN JVC media receiver. I am a SiriusXM subscriber and the ability to use the add-on Sirius tuner through the head unit directly (rather than an add-on via the AUX port) is a requirement for me, or else I would've considered a cheaper no-name touchscreen double-DIN unit. The performance seems slightly better as far as sound, but that may be the placebo effect. The controls are more logically arranged on this one, mostly made possible by simply having more room to spread them out. The color adjustability is nice and I got it to nearly match my factory instrumentation. I also like that it can change color when a call comes in. I don't see how you can beat this as far as flawless performance for the price point.

Pros: Great sound, good layout, illumination color adjustability, large, legible text display

    Cons: None

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The JVC KW-X830BTS is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 3.0, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile) & PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) & AVRCP 1.5 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the JVC KW-X830BTS. Check here for the latest Bluetooth compatibility information.

SSP & USB Pairing: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the JVC KW-X830BTS without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. You can even pair your Apple iPhone (iOS 5+) or Android smartphone (running JVC Music Play App) by simply connecting it to the JVC head unit via USB and following a single prompt on the head unit's display.

    • Dual Phone Connection: Thanks to the Dual Phone Connection feature, two Bluetooth-enabled phones can remain connected to the JVC receiver. This means you can an answer an incoming call from either phone from the head unit. Also, both of your phone's contact lists are downloaded to the receiver. To make a call from one of the phones using the JVC receiver, you simply have to select Phone 1 or Phone 2 on the head unit's front-panel.
    • Streaming DJ: The new Streaming DJ feature allows five Bluetooth audio source devices to be connected to the JVC receiver at one time, so you can switch between Bluetooth playback sources a lot easier and quicker. While "BT Audio" source is selected on the head unit, you can simply press the music playback button on your connected Bluetooth source devices to switch between devices and begin music playback. However, you cannot stream audio from two different Bluetooth audio source devices at the same time or combine music libraries or playlists from two different connected devices.
Note: You can pair up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices to the JVC head unit. When an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The head unit supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. And thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the KW-X830BTS provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The controls of the KW-X830BTS can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also includes an external microphone (with mounting bracket) featuring adjustable gain, so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers. During a conversation, you can switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering A Call: When a call comes in, a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker and the caller's name or phone number will be displayed. You can answer the call from the head unit's front-panel controls, or setup the head unit to automatically answer the incoming call immediately or after 1-30 seconds. The KW-X830BTS also supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible cell-phone must also support this feature.
    • Dialing A Number: Using the KW-X830BTS, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:
      • Enter Phone #: Allows you to directly dial a phone number up to 32 digits from the head unit's front-panel rotary dial.
      • Preset Dialing: You can store up to 6 contacts in the memory of this unit for speed dialing.
      • Phone Book: You can download phone book data from your mobile phone to the digital media receiver. You can then dial a contact within the phonebook from the head unit's front-panel controls. Your phonebook can be searched alphabetically or numerically.
      • Call History: The Call History is a list of calls that have originated from and were received by this unit that you can dial. You can select Outgoing, Incoming, or Missed calls.
      • Voice Dialing: If your mobile phone supports voice recognition, then you can dial out by voice command. Simply speak into the included microphone once you have activated the voice dialing function from the head unit's front-panel.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The JVC KW-X830BTS supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or audio player, plus song/artist information display. You are able to stream your stored music library on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, as well as music apps downloaded on your smartphone to the JVC KW-X830BTS for playback.

    • SBC + AAC Codecs: In addition to support for the standard SBC Bluetooth audio codec, the KW-X830BTS offers support of AAC.  By supporting AAC, the KW-X830BTS offers better audio performance of the music streamed from your Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
    • Advanced Music Browsing: In addition to basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip, Random/Repeat), the KW-X830BTS lets you browse your stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc. (AVRCP 1.4 phones only; which includes Android 4.0+ and iPhone 5.0+).
    • Song/Artist Information: The head unit will also display your stored music and music app's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title (not compatible with all apps).
Note: When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.

Siri Eyes Free Control: When paired to an iPhone with Siri via Bluetooth, the JVC KW-X830BTS has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel control and external microphone. Simply press the "phone command" button on the KW-X830BTS to engage Siri and use the included microphone to communicate with Siri. Siri's voice will heard through your vehicle's speakers. All Siri functions including hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more can be done through the head unit and its microphone. You can even ask Siri to get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your iPhone with Bluetooth; the head unit's audio is attenuated while Siri provides audible directions.

Note: The head unit will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the KW-X830BTS; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).

You can also control Play/Pause and Previous/Next track from the head unit. In addition, the head unit will display song/artist information. You can exit the JVC Music Play app to access other functions and applications of your Android smartphone, while your stored music library is still playing through your head unit. If you make a call or answer a call from your smartphone while listening to music in this mode, the music will pause until you are finished with the call and then start back up again.
Note: JVC does not guarantee operation with all Android devices.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KW-X830BTS utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The JVC KW-X830BTS is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power output specs for the KW-X830BTS are as follows:

    • Full Bandwidth Power: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20-20kHz, 1% THD)
    • Maximum Output Power: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amp Gain: When you are using the KW-X830BTS with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 25 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 35.

2.5V/6CH Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The KW-X830BTS is equipped with three pair of 2.5V preamp outputs (Front, Rear, & Sub). The Front & Rear preamp outputs offer fade control, while the Sub outputs are non-fading. The Sub preamp outputs also offer independent level control (-50 to +10).

Subwoofer Speaker Connection: You can connect a subwoofer to this head unit without the need of a separate power amplifier. Simply connect a single subwoofer (4-8 ohm) directly to head unit's left rear speaker leads (the right rear speaker output will be muted). The rated power output for the subwoofer speaker channel remains 22 watts. Same subwoofer controls apply, except the subwoofer level adjustment is from -6 to+3.

Vehicle Setup: In order to optimize the sound quality in your vehicle, you can indentify the type of vehicle you have and the rear speaker location, as well as configure listening distances.

    • Car Type: Select your car type to automatically set the delay time of each speaker for timing adjustment of sound output of each channel to have the highest surround effect. Choose from Compact, Full Size Car, Wagon, Mini Van, SUV, or Off
    • Rear Speaker Location: You can indicate the location of your vehicle's Rear speakers. Choose from Door, Rear Deck, 2nd Row, or 3rd Row.
    • DTA (Digital Time Alignment): For a better sound-stage you can select your optimal listening position. You can choose from All, Front Left, Front Right or Front. You can also select to manually fine tune the sound stage, using Digital Time Alignment (DTA) by selecting the distance (0-20') for each individual speaker in the vehicle compared to your listening position.

Crossover Network: The JVC KW-X830BTS lets you choose between a 2-way or 3-way crossover network for your car audio application.

For example, K2 will expand the digital data of the audio CD recorded at 44.1kHz/16 bit to 48 kHz/24 bit, and recreate the high-frequency range above 20kHz that is cut during the CD formatting.

Sound Effects: The KW-X830BTS offers adjustable Sound Effects to provide a better listening experience inside your vehicle.

    • Space Enhancement: Space Enhancement is a virtual surround technology using two speakers. Just select the vehicle size, and the head unit automatically adjusts the sound effectively. The soundstage is broadened inside your vehicle.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

    Remote Control

Remote App (for iOS & Android): The JVC Remote App is an application for Apple iOS 8.0+ and Android OS 4.4+ that controls the JVC receiver like a wireless remote control from your compatible Apple iOS device (via Bluetooth or USB) or Android device (via Bluetooth only). The JVC Remote App provides traditional touchscreen control, as well as directional and freeform gesture control.

    • Source Information & Control: The JVC Remote App provides a Source Control screen with a list of the receiver's built-in sources and connected sources to choose from, so you can change the head unit's source from your mobile device. Once an input is selected, the app displays source information such as station number, track number & playback time, as well as song/artist information (when applicable). From the app, you can also seek stations and tracks, as well as Play and Pause your music.
    • Audio Settings: From the application on your mobile device, you can adjust the receiver's volume up or down. In addition, audio settings such as EQ, Crossover, DTA, and other audio adjustments can be easily set using the JVC Remote Application.
    • Media Player: The application's Media Player screen lets you playback your device's stored music library through the JVC receiver. From the app on your Apple iOS or Android device, you can control basic playback functions like Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track and Repeat/Random. The Android version of the app even lets you browse your music library by category (Song/Album/Artist/Playlist/Mood). Song, artist, and album information (along with Album Art) will displayed on your Apple iOS or Android device's touchscreen.
    • App Launcher (Android only): The App Launcher feature of the Android version of the JVC Remote app lets you access 3rd party applications within the JVC Remote app's user interface. The App Launcher can contain up to 24 of your favorite apps for quick access.
    Notes:
    • You will need to indicate within the head unit's menu what type of device (Apple iOS or Android) you'll be using the JVC Remote App on before the application will connect and function with the receiver.
    • When using the JVC Remote App with your compatible Apple iOS device, the application and device must be connected to the receiver via Bluetooth (not USB) for playback of Bluetooth audio. For playback of a USB-direct connection from an Apple iOS device, the device and application must be connected to the head unit via USB (not Bluetooth).

Steering Wheel Control Input: The head unit features a steering wheel remote control input wire (blue/yellow) within the included wiring harness that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately).

    Q
I have a 2010 Dodge Caliber. My factory radio already has Sirius Xm. Do I need to order the tuner or can I basically plug and play?
    [ Mark  May 15, 2019 ]
    1 answer
    A
No you would still need to add the aftermarket SXV300V1 tuner https://bit.ly/2HXC789 (this is the case for most vehicles).

    Q
I have a jaguar 2004, x type... the stereo installer told me that i needed an amplifier to connect the bass due to impedance limits... im only listening(using) the 4 doors speakers; its that right or its just him trying to sell me an amplifier?
    [ Alfredo  May 01, 2019 ]
    1 answer
    A
We don't have a wiring harness that interfaces with the factory amp/ sub in that 2004 Jaguar X-type. If you replace the radio you will need to bypass the factory amp and run new speaker wire to the factory speaker locations. The factory sub would no longer work unless you added a new amp. If you have any questions or concerns about what you do and do not need you can connect with one of our friendly product advisors here: https://bit.ly/2qPH8aN

    Q
when i have 2 phones connected via bluetooth, how do i switch back and forth from each?
    [ Ryan  Apr 04, 2019 ]
    1 answer
    A
When my daughter has hers connected mine will put the radio on pause if I get a text or email, so we usually just turn off my bluetooth if we are using her phone.
    [ Rebecca  Apr 04, 2019 ]
    Q
What if my vehicle already has Sirius/XM radio (honda factory installed 2008 model), will I need the additional tuner?
    [ J  Jan 16, 2019 ]
    3 answers
    A
In past experience you will have to call your SiriusXM provider and have your account switched over to the new radio. Otherwise, this means you already have a Sirius antenna so it should plug into the new head unit.
    [ Dylan  Jan 20, 2019 ]
    A
Unfortunately, the factory satellite radio tuner and antenna in 2008 Hondas cannot be retained with an aftermarket stereo. So, yes, you will need the compatible SiriusXM tuner package for the service with the new stereo: www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV300/item.html

I honestly don't know. I do know that it plays great off my I phone using Blue Tooth.
    [ TOM  Sep 20, 2018 ]
    A
Unfortunately Kenwood, JVC and Pioneer don't specifically state compatibility with Windows Playlists in their owner's manual(s). In order to find out for sure one way or the other, you may want to contact the manufacturer's support directly. You can also get in touch with a Crutchfield Advisor by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat for more details or to discuss further. My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Larry

When you plug an iPhone into the USB port, does the unit automatically switch to the USB source? Do you lose any functions on the iPhone when it is plugged in?

It does automatically switch to the USB source. As far as I know, I've not noticed any lost functions on my iPhone 5 when it is plugged in via USB.

If this helps.. when I plug my iPhone in the usb it does change the source to usb automatically. But it doesn't charge it at all. I didn't notice any different on my phone but then again I always use the Bluetooth function. I was hoping it could leave it on Bluetooth and use the usb to charge it but it doesn't work that way unfortunately.
