Good on the bike while they lasted.
Ian from Garibaldi Highlands, BC on 7/15/2022
I bought two sets of these from Crutchfield.ca late in 2019 to mount in my Harley fairing and Tour Pak. One of the speakers was dead on arrival and Crutchfield was great with replacing it right away. Now it is mid July 2022 and one speaker just blew in my fairing. Considering our short riding seasons up north here, I expected better longevity from this brand; especially considering Crutchfield charges almost double the cost in Canada as they do on their US .com site. Sound wise, they have been fine for the needs of being heard clearly on a motorbike at speed. I used a small Focal amp and they are clear and loud, perhaps a little on the sharp side depending on the music. The waterproofing is a must on a bike, especially up here on the Wet Coast, and they never distorted when they were wet and out on the road. I like how you can slightly adjust the angle of the tweeter as it makes a difference on a bike. The magnets were small enough that on the right angle, they mounted fine in the Tour Pak pods without the need for an adapter. If these speakers lasted longer and weren't twice the price in Canada, I would perhaps buy a replacement set but I will now be seeking another brand that is worth their price tag.
Pros: Waterproof Fits great in Harley Tour Pak Crutchfield service including adapters for the Harley fairing
Cons: Longevity - dead in a few years of seasonal use Cost in Canada - double the cost of US pricing

I have 8 of these in my boat. They are clear and loud! Very reasonably priced too. I wish they had different grille options though like the old mms.
Pros: Clear Loud Affordable
Cons: Style of grill is ugly in my opinion.

Good quality speakers for door speakers.
Charles from MAGNOLIA, TX on 10/15/2021
The sound from these are clear. I am hearing the singers voice, screams a lot clearer. This is hard for door speakers if you listen to metal music in a truck. These replaced 3-way Kenwood's, and then Kickers that I returned. I am able to adjusts these to where they are perfectly balanced with the subs I have. This gives it a better listening experience in a crew cab truck, as good as you can get(it is still a truck). Tweeter has just enough adjustment to direct their sound up and the woofer is enough for mids. So far no complaints and still doing minor tweaks trying to get the sound to my liking.
Pros: adjustable tweeter, quality components for the crossovers.
Cons: None so far.

Great sound, rugged construction, excellent value
Crutchfield customer from Flower Mound, TX on 11/16/2020
Lots of sound for a 6.5" coaxial speaker. Full and well-rounded, as some have noted they are 'bright'; I am very pleased at this price point. I've installed four of these in a converted Sprinter van and driving them with a simple 75w x 4 Sound Ordnance amp; for more depth I've added a Rockford Fosgate powered 8" sub; the MM652's fill the large unfinished space beautifully. Unplug the sub and it's considerably less full, as expected. When the van is finished I expect a concert-like experience will play out. Full disclosure, I have some hearing loss; this package helps me forget that.
Pros: Strong frame, reliable materials beautifully assembled = great sound and overall value
Cons: My space needs a sub to feel the tunes, but wouldn't every 6.5 "?

Can't trust Crutchfield; these don't fit my car or the wiring harness
matt from Sebastopol, CA on 6/22/2020
2014 Honda CRV
Four stars for the speakers. 0 stars for Crutchfield's free Metra wiring harness that doesn't fit these speakers, and the installation guide with postage stamp sized photos that completely fail to show necessary detail, and the INCORRECT guidance that these speakers would actually fit my car. What should have been a 20-30 minute installation took several hours because I had to cut metal away to get the giant basket of this speaker to fit into the rear door of my 2014 Honda CRV. The American International HSB524 brackets (supplied by Crutchfield) fit the car well, but don't provide enough vertical clearance for these speakers. Stacking the Polk adaptor ring on top of the other adaptor still doesn't provide enough depth. Gladly I had a Dremel tool and a bunch of cutting disks to enlarge the opening in the metal door panel.

I love them! I replace the DB 522 with these on my Street glide. The sound is amazing comparatively. But it's like comparing apples to oranges. The DB522 sounded great as well but it was time for more. I am pushing them with a JL audio 280x4 amp. Loud. Clear. Good bass. I wouldn't change a thing. I'll also be buying a matching set to replace my DB652 on the rear of the bike.

Pretty good
Crutchfield customer from Swannanoa, NC on 11/10/2019
I have always loved and used Polk Audio, home and car. I have these in component in front, and these in rear. When I first put the components in, I wasn't very happy I didn't think they sounded near as good as the 10yr old Hertz components I took out. But after some time they got much better. The highs mellowed out, and the vocals improved. The mid bass is still a little muddy. These are performing about the same. Overall, pretty good, but not on the same level as Hertz. They are less expensive, so not really apples to apples.
Pros: Good highs
Cons: Muddy mid bass

Ok WOW that's all I can say is WOW I have a 2018 Harley Road Glide with the Rockford Fosgate system. 6.5's in the dash and 6x9's in the bag lids with the Rockford amp pushing them. I bought the Polk's cuz I've heard good things on Harley FB pages. These were going to be for my lowers, well I just ordered another set of these 6.5's and a set of Polk 6x9's to replace all my Rockford speakers. These Polk's blew the Rockford's out of the water they are so much louder, cleaner, crisper highs it's unreal. In addition because these can handle 300Watts peak and 100watts rms I can push these hard with my Amp and not worry about them blowing which I already blew a pair of the Rockfords. Don't get me wrong Rockford is a sweet set up but these are just a little bit better! In addition to the price you're going to spend 1/3 of the price for these Polk's um NO BRAINER!!!!
Pros: Loud, Clean, Clear, Crispy Highs
Cons: UM NONE

I learned a lesson through this purchase, when saying it will fit, it's DEPTH, not necessarily the shape of the opening. These did not fit at first, however, I used the adapter bracket that replaces the factory one and then stacked the bracket that came with the speaker on top, which gave me the extra depth needed. Speakers sound great!
Pros:
Cons: Perhaps a bit "Bright" with the highs as other mentioned

Before I review this item let me say these are so beautiful in person the best looking matrials used here picture do them no justice. That being said as other stated the highs are beyond harsh they are intolerable even with heavy eq. Not worth the price either way better sounding speakers I suggest looking into morel focal even Kicker KS series. Properly powered and eqd and still sounded awful. I think Polk intended these for boats and bikes where you could benefit from terrible harsh sound.

the 10 year old infinity 6022i in my 2008 civic coupe doors were still playing well but were showing signs of water damage. i have them in the rear deck also. they are good speakers with good sound but they play on the bright side even with the tweeter set to 0. the civic stock head unit also plays on the bright side. the polk mm 652 play to the midrange side- a better match for the stock unit. they also have a little more bass and smoother mids and the highs are still there just not as much.i have only played them for 2 hours so they should sound even better once they break in. they already sound amazing. the old infinitys are still cranking away in the rear. the polks do not fit the rear deck. being marine grade i will not get water damage now. civic adapter rings and civic wire adapters were included with my purchase-thank you crutchfield. fast shipping too. polks are 4 ohm/93spl -infinitys are 3 ohm/93spl but the polks seem just as loud .both are very clear.
Pros: 1] good bass-mids-highs 2] if water gets in your door it will not damage them
Cons: pricey but worth it

Won't fit in my 2017 MDX even though it appears compatible on Crutchfield's site. And I'm not talking about the necessary removal of part of the factory speaker grill. The housing of the magnet won't fit properly in the speaker hole in the door. I was using the supplied bracket adapter from Crutchfield. Their tech support was awesome trying to help, but had no real solution. Returning to try something else.

Great Value
Crutchfield customer from Albuquerque, NM on 6/18/2018
Ordered these after a disappointing stint with JBL Club Series for a Jeep TJ. These speakers get the job done with clean crisp notes and decent bass despite the poor acoustic foundations of a Jeep. They are powered by an Alpine head unit only so the power supply is somewhat limited. The only potential problem I can see is whether the grills will stay in place over time as there are no fasteners to hold them in place. So far, they earn a 5 star rating as they are performing as expected and look great.
Pros: Sound great, definite upgrade from OEM (infinity) and JBL Club, look great, clean crisp sound at all volume levels. Crutchfield guaranteed!
Cons: The grill fastening mechanism does not seem very secure but it is staying in place thus far! Some mounting/installation issues but manageable for anyone with some mechanical fortitude.

Just got these in the dash and they are amazing! Replaced some cheaper speakers that sounded pretty good at high volume but very nasty at mid to low volume. These Polk MM652's sound grrreat at all levels and were well worth the extra $ to get them. I think they're better sounding than my older high end MB Quarts that I used to have. Pushing 300 Max, 150 RMS at them and they act as advertised. As for Crutchfield, I've been using them for over 20 years and they earn my repeat business every time I've used them. Cons: Don't match the other 6 speakers in the boat. They discontinued the previous model.
