The legend continues...

Infinity's reputation is legendary, but their Kappa Series car speakers don't rest on those laurels. Designed and built for audiophile tastes, these Kappa 93ix 6"x9" 3-way speakers benefit from a refined design, Infinity's proprietary technology, and premium materials to deliver uncompromised audio quality.

Edge-driven dome tweeters

Infinity employs an edge-driven design in their soft dome tweeters for a smoother, more open response and minimal distortion at high volume. The UniPivot tweeter design means you can aim each tweeter and supertweeter toward your ears, so you'll enjoy excellent stereo imaging even if the speakers are mounted way down low in your doors. Infinity includes a level control button so you can adjust the brightness to your taste.

Woofers enhanced with Plus One+ technology

Bring on the bass. Kappa's glass fiber woofer will hold its shape when the power's cranked up, so you still get punchy and defined bass. Glass fiber weighs less than traditional materials, so you don't need a ton of power to drive this woofer either. Infinity's Plus One+ woofer technology extends the cone right up to the edge of the basket, giving you lots of surface area — and a bigger cone means more bass to complement the superior high-frequency response.

Awesome power handling, no matter the system

These 2.5-ohm speakers boast ultra-high sensitivity so that you can power them with a factory radio or aftermarket stereo, but you'll get your best results feeding them plenty of power from an outboard amp. Either way, these speakers' low impedance safely takes advantage of every watt of power available for exceptional performance. Enjoy Kappa sound quality at any volume. Grilles are included.

Good sounding and loud. They're pretty deep, so make sure to check the measurements if you're doing a custom install. I put these in the cab corners behind the seats In my Peterbilt. Paired with 2 sets of Infinity Kappa 462.11cfp 4x6's, these do an excellent job filling the mid range. My only real complaint is the grills just push in and they tend to pop out.

Huge disappointment

I bought these speakers upon a recommendation. They're a BIG disappointment. The sound is the flat, plain, boring, & monotonous. It sounds like you're playing music from a Dixie paper cup. They do play very loud, but they are in NO way rich, warm, nor inviting. REALLY wish I could have heard them before buying them. Even with an great equalizer they still leave you in a bucket. Wish I could return them! Think twice on these speakers before you buy them.

Pros: Loud

Cons: Sound is flat, plain, monotonous, everything the opposite of rich, warm, and inviting.

Awesome speakers!

Very good product , I have a ram 2017 truck was Modify so these Speakers could fit this, is my 3rd or 4 set, but my first set from crutchfield do not buy off of Ebay or Amazon they are not Real. Ok with that being said I have had just about every brand speaker and these are by far the best sounding speaker. For clear and clean bass, but don't buy four of these they sound better if your mix them up, like JBL Stadiums,Hurts High energy, Kickers, JL audio, I do have them on a amp, and they will blow you away with all the sounds, the highs, lows and mids these Speakers do it all and they are crystal clear.

Pros: Sounds better then just about all the speaker I've tried, most speakers can not keep up with the sound.

Cons: They are bigger then most had to have truck Modify but it was worth it.

As a drummer I need to here the crisp sound of the cymbals, without the harshness a cheap speaker has. Always loved the distinct sound of the Infinity Kappa and reference series. Had them in my last 3 vehicles.

Pros: Easy install with brackets and harnesses Crutchfield includes. Top notch speakers from a notch company. Crutchfield never disappoints. Recently sold my 04 Ford F150. Outfitted with Kenwood DVD head unit and infinity speakers throughout. 14 years later everything functions as in did 14 years ago

Cons: None

They sound great comparied the the pioneer 6x9 that were in there.. Cranked the amp up and the just eat the power right up no problem.

Pros: Great sound solid speaker with allot more capacity

Cons: The plastic surround on the back is a bit larger then almost any other 6x9 and had to cut the fiberglass much further and had to make custom surrounds that adapted to them

Fantastic speakers. Crystal clear, nice and loud, look really nice, easy to install grill mounts. Very happy with the updated version. Definitely recommend. Running a 5 ch amp and sending about 60 rms to the speakers and it's enough to wake them up without a problem.

Pros: Clear, well balanced, look great, loud

Cons: Deep mount so you just need the appropriate space

Product Research

Features

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

High-Output Design: The high output 2.5Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extracts every watt from factory receivers, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4Ω speakers). The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers, designed to power a 2.5Ω load.

Edge Driven Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has an Edge-driven textile dome tweeter. Edge-driven tweeters have better dispersion characteristics and allow for a lower crossover frequency than typical tweeters of the same size, which improves imaging. The result is improved vocals and musical clarity. The tweeter also has an output level switch; choose +0 dB (flat) or +3 dB.

Super Tweeter: The Kappa 93ix adds a super tweeter to reinforce the high frequencies and keep pace with the larger cone of the 6" x 9" woofer.

Terminals: The input terminals are set screws that will accept up to 12 gauge bare wire.
