Install Infinity's Primus PR9613is 6-1/2" 3-way speakers in your doors and say goodbye to the uninspired vocals, muddy cymbals, and flabby bass of your factory sound. Lifelike vocals, crisp cymbals, and well-defined bass await you. What new playlists will you create to put these awesome speakers to the test?

Edge-driven tweeter design

Infinity employs an edge-driven design in their soft dome tweeter for a smoother, more open response and minimal distortion at high volume. With the addition of a piezo supertweeter in this 3-way speaker, prepare for a more clearly defined soundstage as the details in your music come alive.

Famous Plus One+ technology

This Primus polypropylene woofer delivers solid, punchy bass, thanks to Infinity's proprietary Plus One+ woofer design. Infinity extends the cone right up to the edge of the basket, giving you lots of surface area — and a bigger cone means more bass when your music needs it.

Make the most of your power

Infinity's special "true 4-ohm architecture" uses a low-impedance voice coil to safely draw extra power out of your factory radio, aftermarket stereo, or an external amplifier, so you'll get a stronger clearer sound. Grilles are included.

These sound better than I expected. I mounted them in the sound ordanance bass bunkers which seemed to give them a little more punch.

Pros: Great sound but I think I need more than just the alpine head unit!

Great upgrade to stock 2017 Tacoma speakers with the 6" entune head unit. The low impedance adds some juice to my tunes. I listen to mostly grunge & rock, jazz, 40's & sometimes classical. The FREE brackets and wiring harness made swapping & installation a breeze (just take your time). My only audiophile gripe is that there is too much high end (in my opinion) and this have to modify that in the minute equalizer settings per what genre of music I'm listening to. Still worth the money and super upgrade to stock. Already upgraded tweeters, just now have the rear doors left. As a special ed teacher, will just have to wait for now. Lastly, let the speakers break in. I'm at around 35 hours now and they just keep getting better. Aloha

These sound amazing paired with the stock JBL headunit in my Toyota Tacoma. The install was a breeze, had all four speakers replaced in 40 minutes. Crutchfield included everything I needed for the upgrade. Infinity makes great products, I've been a long time fan of their product and once again, I was impressed and pleased. Thank you Jess for the advise!

Pros: Punchier lows Cleaner bass Cleaner mids Easy install Beautiful looking speaker

Cons: I should've done the upgrade a long time ago...

I paired these speakers with a JVC KD-R995BTS receiver, and they sound awesome together. These speakers are a huge improvement over the factory speakers I had before. Even without a separate amplifier, I get good sound range with the speakers.

I love my new infinities. I had been looking for these for awhile and have had some smaller ones previously. The highs from the tweeters is noticeable and rich bass from them is great. My alpine deck I got from you drives them just to my musical listening levels. I don't have to turn it up to high volumes, which was my plan from the beginning. I can hear all notes from all instruments on my scrutiny. This was what I was looking for. And the old factory speakers in back were terribly muffled. Could barely even hear them.

Awesome Tacoma Upgrade

Drew from Charlotte, NC on 10/13/2018

2015 Toyota Tacoma

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Every 2nd gen Tacoma owner should upgrade to the Infinity Primus series speakers. Running no amp and stock headunit, sound is louder, cleaner, and more defined for every type of music. I don't have plans of going with a full-blown system, but these speakers could be a gateway drug. Stock speakers are like listening to a show from outside an indoor venue. The upgrade is like going inside, standing front row - your musical experience is elevated. After installing the Primus 6x9s in just my front doors, I added the Primus 6.5s to the rear doors and the sound in my truck cab is so full now (though the website said the 6.5s don't fit the rear doors, I was pretty sure they would, and they do perfectly). When I turn the volume to the 40+ range, I can feel the bass vibrate under my feet and in my center console, which is a new feeling for my truck. Sound is loud enough to mask my terrible singing. So stoked on this upgrade! Do it! Crutchfield rocks - great info, products, shipping, and customer service.

Pros: Fuller, more defined sound for all music genres - and louder, if you're into that

Cons: I wish I had upgraded sooner

Purchased these for my 2010 Chrysler Town and Country for the front door location and found they fit in the midpanel location(which is a tough location to find a 6x9 that will fit) . I now have a pair in both locations and they sound amazing just running off the factory radio. The 2.7ohm resistance gets the most out of the radio with out any issues.

These were installed to replace stock speakers in a 2010 Nissan Altima. Be sure to orientate the included plastic spacer properly (no big deal, just take your time and it will be obvious) The sound was great and Crutchfields instructions from their website and included extras (OEM plug adapters) were top notch. Hard to beat Crutchfeild, their attention to detail is second to none! Thanks.

Pros: Crutchfiled ease of selection...making sure things like size and impedance were considered.

Cons: None...

Speakers sound amazing! There would have been '5' stars except for the mounting issues. It was necessary to create large slots in the metal frame to get the screw holes to align. The fit into the door was fine, but actually cutting my new speakers was an unexpected surprise.

Pros: Outstanding sound using only the receiver amp!

Cons: Necessary alterations to mounting holes brings screws dangerously close to suspension!

Clear Infinity Bass

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Clear sounding bass on this speaker. I can't comment on the highs and mids because my vehicle, a 2016 Chevy Colorado with Bose audio, is only feeding bass to the front doors through the amp as per the standard setup. I'm knocking off one star because I'm not sure why Crutchfield would recommend a 3 way speaker in a location where only the lows come through. Seems like a waste of two tweeters.

Major Improvement Over Stock Nissan Speakers

Pat from Algonac, MI on 4/24/2018

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I wanted to replace the front door speakers in my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder SL. The only one I found that was compatible with around a 2 ohm rating was the Powerbass 6X9. I really wanted the Infinity Primus 6X9 but the Crutchfield site says it wouldn't fit. I went to the Infinity website and it states that the Primus PR9613is was compatible with the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. Crutchfield was kind enough to send me both sets and to return the one I didn't use. Once I got the speakers i could see that the Primus speaker's only difference from the stock Nissan speaker is that the four mounting holes were pure round holes but the stock Nissan speakers were oval shaped. The mounting posts on the Nissan door are toward the center of the speaker just a bit, thus needing the oval shaped holes. I got out my Roto Zip tool and routed out the round Primus holes just a bit into an oval shape. Now they fit perfectly. There is plenty of clearance to the front door window assemble and plenty of clearance between the door panel and the two tweeters. I also replaced the Nissan stock mid-range dash speakers with the Infinity Kappa 10.11t tweeters. I decided to leave the rear door speakers stock as the only option for 2 ohm replacement was a Powerbass 6.5 which I figure probably wouldn't improve the system any. The speaker replacement provides a major improvement over the stock speakers. The highs are much nicer and the bass is crisp and well dampened. I drive the system mainly with Android Poweram

Pros: Great high frequencies, crisp, well dampened bass. I can now hear cymbals, high hats, and other high frequencies never heard in the stock system. The bass "thut" sound is now there rather than the "boom" sound of the stock system. Works best if you've got a phone app like Poweramp where you can tune the pre-amp and equalization to drive the new system. The pre-amp and equalization bring the stock car amplifier to life.

Cons: Only that you have to make a slight modification in the mounting holes for a Nissan Pathfinder. It'd be nice if Infinity provided oval shaped holes to provide some tolerance.. No big deal though as it was an easy fix.

Install was smooth but the pros stop there. I bought these low impedance cause a Crutchfield rep said to do cause of my factory amp. They have more than enough power but yet when turned up to normal listening levels I get a wierd vibration like as if the cone was made of wax paper instead of polypropylene!! Don't think the money I paid for them should warrant that!!

Pros: They fit

Cons: Don't have the sound quality that the name or the dollar would suggest!

I replaced my factory Alpine 6x9 rear deck speakers in my 2016 Dodge Charger with these Infinity PR9613is speakers. (I have the basic 6 spkr. Alpine system) I added nothing else...(so far) They sound outstanding ! What a difference! Improved my system 100%. The sound in my car is much more balanced and CLEAR. Not muddy anymore. Install was easy, all instructions provided by Crutchfield. (And I talked to Jay at Crutchfield, before I started, just to make sure I was on the right track, he was great) The install was a success and very simple. Great speakers, great service, great price! I would highly recommend these speakers. Thanks to all !

Pros: Improved my system 100% just by adding these speakers

Cons: None so far

Features

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

Impedance: The Primus Series speakers feature 2.7Ω voice coils to compensate for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extract every watt from the factory receiver, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4-ohm speakers). The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers capable of powering a lower impedance load.
