Hey Jacob, this is designed to dial back your gains which in turn will impact the overall impact and volume your subs will be putting out.

This Kenwood KCA-RC01A uses an RJ-25 plug Shaun, which has 6-pins. The KCA-RC01A is a wired remote subwoofer level control only recommended for compatible Kenwood amplifiers. I hope this helps!

Q
Hello does this connects to the Kenwood KCA- 7201?
b.buckz  Apr 30, 2021
1 answer
A
The terminal on the rotary control does not look like it would be the same as the jack that is on the KAC 7201 speaker input. The rotary control is designed to fit modern mono amps that Kenwood makes.

Q
Will this work on Xcelon XR901-5?
bjorn  Sep 24, 2020
1 answer
A
The XR901-5 should come with a wired remote included in the box. That included remote uses an RJ-14 plug while this KCA-RC01A wired remote comes with an RJ-25. It will not work with the XR901-5 amp. We do not offer the proper remote for the XR901-5 amp separately and recommend that you contact East Coast Transistor using 800-776-2626 to get one

Q
will this work with a kac-8151d amp if not wich one will?
brent  Jan 12, 2020
2 answers
A
As long as the amp is from Kenwood, and it has an external hook up jack for a remote bass booster control knob, it will work. It should say in the specs section of the amp. If you do purchase one, you will love it. It allows for precise adjustment of your bass level according to each song your listening to at that time, right from your dashboard.

Hi Brent, thank you for your question. The Kenwood KCA-RC10A bass remote is not compatible with the KAC-8151d amplifier. Unfortunately, it does not look as though the bass knob that was compatible with that amplifier was sold separately. You may wish to reach out to Kenwood to see if there is an option or ability to still purchase that knob directly. Kenwood's customer support team may be reached at 800-536-9663.

Q
I'm looking for one of these to control an excelon xr1s will this one Work ? If not do you know of the correct model number for one that will?
darrin  Oct 04, 2019
1 answer
A
Hi Darrin, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the KCA-RC01A is not a compatible with the Excelon XR1-S amplifiers. The remote that is compatible with that amp is the Kenwood KCA-WR10, which has been discontinued. You may be able to find this controller for sale on other sites online. Sorry we didn't have what you're needing for that amp, Darrin, but let us know if we can help with anything else. You can chat with us online, or by phone at 1-800-324-9695, any of our Advisors will be happy to help.
