Defective Product
JS in BC from Boulder City, NV on 4/17/2014
2011 Ford E Series
The product as shipped, was defective! After connecting it to my radio then to the antenna, I heard nothing but static, but when I just stuck a wire into the radio's antenna socket, I got signal, but not a good connection. As I was desperate with the dash board all over the front seat, I took the adapter apart and discovered that it was internally shorted! Some of the wires from the shield were touching the center conductor. I corrected this but did not have the proper crip tools. What I have now is somewhat of a kluge, but works. This caused me a good deal of aggravation and I should have sent it back, but after "repairing" it myself, I think I would have had a problem and I didn't feel like dealing with it. I just wish the people that make these things would test them before they leave the factory, but that would add an couple of cents to the cost and reduce their profits!
Pros: Looked like a good idea.
Cons: Defective product!

Great for adding XM radio antenna adapter
Jeffrey from LaPlata, MD on 1/22/2009
I used this on my 2008 Ford Mustang and on my 2006 Ford Explorer. It fit both perfectly although I would prefer shorter leads. It was very easy to install - dropped the glovebox on each vehicle and inserted the adapters and was done in seconds. It works flawlessly. you do need both adpaters.

This item worked great for my 04 jeep grand Cherokee. Was exactly what I needed to be able to connect my Sirius fm transmitter box to the antenna plug that was on the vehicle. Both adapters are required if your hooking up Sirius or a cd changer threw the antenna plug.

loose fit on Chrysler 300C
gregg from fort hood, texas on 4/22/2007
i bought this for adaption of my xm reciever to factory headunit. this has a real loose fit (ie; wants to just fall right out) into back of headunit but it does the job i had to use electrical tape to hold it in to make me feel better that it was back in there snug enough for a connection.
