I couldn't do it without this. I wish Subaru would have stuck with a standard plug.

Subaru Antenna Adapter
Neil from Delhi, NY on 10/16/2017
I've had Sirius docks in over 7 vehicles, 2 boom boxes and have an Internet home box. Most vehicles you can match signals from FM to docks. Right now I have 2 vehicles and have FM set and I can drive for hundreds of miles and no problem (a bit of breakup in NYC, but that is concrete central). I picked up a Subaru outback for banging around and I set up normally using FM channel, actually programmed 5 channels. I had to try everyone (while driving) and still didn't work. Very frustrating. Years ago I found that Sirius made a 'direct' FM setup that was fairly simple install. However, Subaru has this weird 'amplified' system without 'normal' antenna male/female. NOW: Crutchfield..... The initial consultant Buzz was excellent and had part(s) found in seconds. He transferred to excellent 'order taker'. Parts came sooner than quoted (very giant wasteful box and peanuts, but better than opposite). NOW the "problem" (listen Crutchfield!!) terrible directions both e-mailed and paper ..... all instructions Stopped before critical finding of antenna wire and connection. Buzz, somebody .... check it out. Pulling it out instructions are OK, however, finding the correct connector is jumped over and it goes to installing Door speakers???? Final concept: Crutchfield adapter PLUS Sirius Direct adapter makes for almost perfect sound and I drove In and around NYC where nothing Sirius works, NOW, I get excellent reception, NO drops, even works way into tunnels! Thanks Crutchfield.
Pros: precise, expert service, very fast delivery
Cons: must be better instruction
