Lets you connect an aftermarket receiver to the factory antenna cable; has an OEM female plug on one end and a Motorola male plug on the other. Item 12040VL20 is required if you are integrating an FM modulator with your factory radio.

Features

Compatibility: This antenna adapter allows you to convert the factory antenna connection in selected Volvo vehicles to a standard male Motorola (Universal) connection. This adapter works with 1999 and up Volvos (Factory antenna to aftermarket radio). To be certain, always check the Auto Install Guide.

For FM Modulators: If you are installing an FM modulator, you will need this antenna adapter, plus 12040VL20.

Dimensions:

  • Male Motorola (Universal) Plug: 2" long
  • Volvo Antenna Connector: Length= 1.181", Width= 0.529", Height= 0.862"

Hi, I have a Volvo XC90 2004. Where does this plug in? I can't find a compatible plug behind the dash or in the amp. Help please!! Cheers. Jo

Hello! I am not sure about the xc90 but in my s60 there is plug behind the stereo that you plug into, then the male end goes into the back of the new stereo. When you unplugged the radio antenna from the stock deck you should have been able to plug that into the female end of the adapter.
