The Honda Accord powered antenna worked great! It fit exactly as the original and came complete with everything needed to install it in the car. Since my car had the powered antenna originally, this was exceptionally easy to do and the new antenna even had the same exacty matching plug to connect to the car's factory wiring. While the supplied span tool to remove and install the old antenna could have been of better material (harder to make it stiffer), this is a one time use (more or less) tool and was supplied for free as part of the kit and got the job done, so I can't really complain. The new antenna has worked perfectly since I installed it and allows me to once again be able to go through car washes and has also improved the radio reception that was marginal, since the old antenna was stuck between full up/down and couldn't be moved manually. The new antenna claims to be manually retractable, but I haven't had any need to test this part yet. The pricing was also better than most replacements I've seen out there. There were a few cheaper available, but they did not have the same fit and complete kit included that this Crutchfield replacement did. It is clearly a 5 start rating in my experience.

Except for the location of the drainage tube, this antenna is idential to that of the OEM. Having never tackled a project like this before, I found it very easy to install; however, I did have to cut the drainage tube down to size so it didn't crimp. No other modifications were needed. All of the hardware fit perfectly and, contrary to what some of the other reviewers said, I did not have a problem with the tool used to install the ring that secures the antenna. Installation took well under a half hour.

I bought this product to replace my stock motorized antenna on my 1994 Honda Accord. Installation was somewhat of a pain. Accessing the area to remove the antenna housing can be difficult: use gloves to avoid getting cut by the plastic trunk material. Also, the tool provided to remove/install the retaining ring on the outside was flimsy, and I often had to use pliers to bend it back into a correct and usable position (as others have noted, and also why I give this product 4 stars). Also be careful to avoid scratching the paint when you do the swap: the tool may slip. The drainage hose-body connector (black funnel shaped part) was extremely difficult to install, so i just ended up putting the end of the hose through the hole in the body without the connector. You won't need to use the additional wiring unless your stock wiring has corroded/degraded. Mine was fine, so it was a simple matter of plugging in the old connector into the socket on the antenna housing. The instructions included were accurate and useful, though this swap is pretty self explanatory. FM and AM reception is good. I can't say the noise of the motorized antenna is any less than the OEM one. Oddly, the antenna does not retract all the way on a regular basis. Sometimes it will stick out between one to four inches. However, I am not sure if this is a problem with the new head unit I installed (which sends the signal to the antenna to extend/retract).

Perfect match to factory equipment -- all connectors and hardware matched perfectly. Removing the old and installing the new antenna took less than 30 minutes. Documentation / instructions are clear and helpful. Much cheaper than replacing through Honda and identical.

I bought this antenna to replace my factory antenna of my 1994 Honda Accord. This replacement antenna cost a lot cheaper than buying the OEM antenna ($240). Intallation was easy within an hour, works just like the OEM antenna even better because it the noise of the antenna motor is much less than the OEM. Electrical wiring and plug matched OEM. Mounting holes matched, reception of AM & FM signels just as OEM antenna. Only down side is the included antenna tool. Weak material and bends easy. That's why I give this product 4 stars. If the tools was better I would give it 5 Stars. The tool becomes very important in removing and installing the antenna.
