Customer Q&A

5 questions already asked

Q
I have a 2002 yukon xl non bose. I made a bypass harness for my factory amp. Everything works as should now. Would this take place of my current bypass harness and allow me to run the added wires directly to a aftermarket amp without having to run anymore connections to the headunit? Or does this have to be hooked up to the headunit?

A
This is intended to be connected to an aftermarket radio and ran to the factory amplifier location for the purpose of bypassing the factory amplifier. If you've already made these connections with your own bypass solution, and if everything is working appropriately, then the 70-2054 would not be necessary.

Q
I see this works to bypass the amp in a non-Bose 2003 CTS. Will it do the same for a non-Bose 2006? Metra's page says this only works thru 2004 models.

It does not appear the Metra 70-2054 bypass harness is compatible with the 2006 Cadillac CTS (w/out Bose) according to the research we have on file for that vehicle. For more details on what harness(es) are available for your vehicle, you can enter the qualifying information from the "Find what fits your car" section on our site: https://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx You can also contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat to discuss further. Hope that helps!

No I did not need it. Had to run 4 speaker wires from the head unit to the amp to tap in to the car speaker wires.
