This Metra 70-6504 amp bypass harness allows you to install a new car stereo in your car without having to cut the factory wiring.

This Metra 70-6504 amp bypass harness allows you to install a new car stereo in your car without having to cut the factory wiring.

Simply splice the color-coded wires on your Crutchfield integration adapter to the wires from your aftermarket stereo — you can crimp or solder the connections in the comfort of your home without having to struggle with splicing wires behind your dash. Next, plug the Crutchfield integration adapter into the harness that you removed from your factory radio.

Since you didn't have to cut off your car's original radio connector, it's easier to put the factory radio back in when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. Just plug the factory radio back in and keep the aftermarket stereo. Warranty: 60 days.

Note: This integration adapter bypasses your factory amplifier. In order to install it and make the necessary connections, you will need to run wires from the adapter to a switched power source and to your factory amp location above the kick panel on the driver's side. You'll lose the factory subwoofer when the amp is bypassed.

Wiring Harness: This wiring harness prevents you from having to cut your vehicle's factory radio plug when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. Simply solder or crimp the wiring harness to your aftermarket head unit's harness (solder & crimps not included), plug the aftermarket head unit's plug into the rear chassis of the aftermarket head unit, and plug the wiring harness into your vehicle's factory radio plug.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

Wiring Notes: If the wiring harness is not equipped with a ground wire, you will need to ground the aftermarket head unit's ground wire to the metal chassis of your vehicle. Some vehicle's may require you to bypass the vehicle's factory amplifier (in another location from factory radio) or hardwire certain connections. If your vehicle is equipped with factory steering wheel controls, an additional adapter is required & sold separately.

  • There is no switched power wire in any of the harnesses. An additional 42" red wire is included, along with a fuse tap to access a switched +12 volt source in the fuse block.

We do not offer an amp bypass harness for this vehicle. You would need to run new wiring for that.

Yes, if you're trying to bypass the factory amplifier. If no factory amplifier in vehicle, you wouldn't be needing this harness, but a different one..

I used it with an aftermarket radio. It worked great. Im nor sure if the factory unit has enough power to drive the system without the amp
