Why would there only be one wire on the red plug? If this had a full compliment of wires it would eliminate the need to cut the harness to install the steering wheel controls. It also was a very loose fit. The black plug is fine, no problems
Pros:
Cons: Loose fit on the red plug and why only one wire to power the external amp. Why not the rest of the wires to eliminate cutting the harness?

Ordered this as part of the Ready Harness for the installation of a JVC KW-R935BTS in a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with Infinity system. It was coupled to a Scosche SLC-4 Line Output Converter and it works like a charm. Spend the money and save a great deal of time (no wires to splice).

Metra's harnesses are great, but this one only gets a "B".
Geren from Westminster, MD on 6/2/2018
2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring
The Metra wiring harnesses pretty much always just work, and for the most part, this one is no exception. That said, there are three connectors on this harness, and the third, which includes such things as the wiring to the USB and AUX audio jacks, and the connections for steering wheel controls. Unfortunately, only one wire, which I think is for turning on an optional external amp (documentation on this particular connector is hard to find -- but it is on the internet) was included. So, for some functions, cutting into the car harness and soldering in the car is required. I also had one pin that wasn't seated correctly, and didn't want to lock into the connector correctly, but works okay once the connector is plugged into the factory wire harness.
Pros: -Easy match to radio wiring -Good labeling
Cons: -This harness included two Blue/Blue-White wires, without indication as to which one I actually needed -No wires for steering wheel controls, USB connection or AUX audio jack

Wiring was easy, took about 10 minutes to remove the old connections and establish the new. Only gripe is that the wiring harness set did not include an antenna line adapter, which given one of the connections only has a single wire running to it seemed amiss in this package.
Pros: Quick to install
Cons: Thought it would include the radio antenna line connector.

All of these wiring harnesses are essential they make installing a car stereo too easy, I love that I can solder my wires before even getting in the car, these harnesses also make it easy to reinstall stock stereo if you ever wish to sell car. I remember when I was 15 and received my first Crutchfield package all of the free harnesses made life so easy for a young sound system enthusiast, now 6 years later I don't order stereos from anyone else. Thanks Crutchfield for always being genuine in every category!

Product works great with 0 issues and the tech support team helped me with the wiring to the vehicle...
Pros: Quick connect, majority of the wires were color coordinated meaning connect directly to the same colored wire that went to the device.
Cons: Should have came with instructions on what wires would be left alone and which wires would need to be connected together, then connected to the unit wiring harness, would have saved time.

Pins didn't line up!
Rob from Monroe, CT on 1/24/2013
Part is physically correct (ie the harness fits the OEM harness), but the factory amp turn-on wire wasn't lined up to the correct port on the harness (2009 Kia Rondo). Only after hours of troubleshooting (and installing the PAC SOEM, which wasn't needed) was this revealed. In short - check to make sure the wire the harness is lined up to is actually connected to a wire on the OEM end - mine wasnt!

There was no connector for power to the antenna preamp. They don't tell you the red connector isn't used. Without the wiring diagrams for the car, I don't think I could have made it work.

Oh My God
Don B. from Newark, DE on 7/18/2012

Perhaps it has been 20 years since I last replaced a factory radio, but I did not expect to deal with so many different colored wires and crimping. My wife thought I just started brain surgery and gone way over my head. I was hoping to just connect this to this and to that. But in the end, it worked out despite having to make some executive, educated guessing.
Pros: It worked out in the end.
Cons: Lots of wires to crimp and caused stress, frustration and confusion
