This worked great for my vehicle. The instuctions were pretty good. The only part that took so long was the dash trimming I had to do per the instuctions. Once that was done, I mounted the head unit and it fit perfectly.

Strange color

Very nice fitment. Slightly odd coloration. Not black or grey, but sort of a charcoal brown. Not really a match for any of the interior. Recommend vinyl wrap or paint to color match if you have a black dash

Got this along with the Kenwood stereo I got for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. You must cut the dash brackets that hold the stock radio in to fit a DIN2 radio in the vehicle. Directions are o.k. but do a test fit with the new radio to actually see what you need to cut. It becomes very obvious then. I used a oscillating cutting tool to do the work. Make sure the chassis wiring is out of your way. Trim a little at a time and when the radio clears, you've done enough. You have to cut the stock vents out of the stock dash piece so take your time. Instructions are good to show what needs trimming and you can cut a little and test fit along the way. Once done, it the vents can be plastic welded (some tabs) and/or glued in place. I used a little PVC clear cement to aid in the attachment. Just be sure not to get it on a visible section. Test fit the side mount brackets to the radio with screws provided. I had plenty of side room and use the round headed screws as they had more thread to mount.

Flat black but works

I bought this kit because of the radio i wanted in my Jeep. The problem with it is, there is no fasteners at the top to hold it flush into its spot. It's just flat black while the rest of my trim is brushed aluminum. Other than that if fits the radio well. Had to do a bunch of plastic trimming to make the radio fit. make sure you have a Dremel at the ready.

Good Kit and good price

This was a nice piece and affordable! Cutting and trimming the vents from the factory piece was a chore but not terrible. If they were to include a small tube of glue it would have been much better because I couldn't really finish the job until I went out and got some glue.

Best double din bezel for the WJ. It is very reasonably priced, the stereo brackets screw into the dash (instead of attaching directly to the bezel), and it looks better than the other bezels out there.

It did not fit without doing some MAJOR modifications to the existing dash and original radio bracket. It was not what I was expecting and definitely not worth the $50 I paid
