About the General Motors Bluetooth® Wiring Harness

 Add Bluetooth® to your vehicle

 Add Bluetooth® to your vehicle

This harness works with a Parrot hands-free Bluetooth kit to connect your compatible phone to your car's factory stereo system. Find the correct harness for your vehicle, then pick one of these Parrot kits: Parrot MKi9200, Parrot MKi9100, Parrot CK3100, or Parrot CK3000. You're on your way to enjoying hands-free calling in your car.

Remove the plug from the back of your factory radio. The General Motors Bluetooth Wiring T-harness plugs into that factory plug, then provides a connection to your factory radio and the Bluetooth kit. Reinstall the factory radio and mount the Bluetooth kit, and you're ready to go. When your cell phone rings, your radio or CD player is muted automatically, and the sound from your phone comes through your front speakers. Warranty: 1 year.

Please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this model is compatible with your vehicle.

Connects Bluetooth adapter to factory radio

With this harness, I was able to quickly and easily add the Parrot Bluetooth kit to my truck's factory radio. This allows me to have hands-free calling while still having the look of my factory radio.

Pros: Quick installation Easy to install

Cons: Adds wiring behind radio

Couldn't be easier!

Seriously, couldn't be easier! Just unhook the plug from the back of the radio, plug into this harness, plug the harness into your Parrot and plug the other end of the harness to the radio. The plugs are oriented so that you can't plug them in wrong and not a single wire to splice. I spent a lot of hours when I was younger tracing wires and splicing them together. All of that time and effort could have been saved for a few dollars on one of these harnesses. I definitely recommend to anyone!

Pros: Plug and play. No splicing or soldering!

Cons: None.

I have a '98 Chevy Pickup with an after-market stereo and I was still able to use this with a Parrot blue-tooth device, no problem. Once you see how simple this is to hook-up, you'll realize it's worth every penny.

Wiring harness for my 1990 Cadalliac Deville

The wiring harness that comes with the Parrott 3200LS does not work on my mint condition 1990 Caddy. I ordered the harness from Crutchfield which arrived promptly which I installed and was working perfectly in less than an hour. Thanks Crutchfield!! LBS

Parrot 3200 with GM wiring harness

James from Southern California on 8/31/2007

2001 GMC Sonoma

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I installed the Parrot 3200 with the GM wiring harness in my 2001 GMC Sonoma, a perfect fit, perfect install. It was far easier than installing the Parrot 3200 in my 1999 Olds Bravada using pigtail connectors. (I had to cut and solder about 30 wires.) Both units work great, paired with a Verizon Treo 700 and a Nokia 3102i. I would highly recommend the Parrot 3200 for simple, effective handsfree bluetooth cellphone use in any vehicle. Buy a connecting harness if possible. It greatly reduces the installation time and complexity.

Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
This harness was suggested by Rex my Crutchfield advisor which was something I was unaware existed. This should make the system connect permanently and with the best results. Thanks again Rex. [ Tony  Nov 27, 2016 ]
A
Because I couldn't find an aftermarket stereo with high quality output that was better than my stock Pontiac headunit. I also wanted to keep full functionality of my HUD and steering wheel controls. [ Joseph  Feb 18, 2016 ]

A
Im sure it will....It fit my 1997 GMC Sierra....and it has only a tape player, not cd option so I assume that GM has similar harnesses across all models for 1997

It does work in select 1985 and up GM factory radios. I would need more information about your specific make and model to know for sure. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors to qualify your vehicle and let you know what options are available for adding Bluetooth. You can reach them here: https://bit.ly/2QNxGQB

Will this work with any Bluetooth car kit? I have a Motorola T605, will it work?
[ Ginger  Aug 31, 2017 ]

No I'm afraid not. This General Motors Bluetooth harness is designed specifically to work with a Parrot hands-free Bluetooth kit (MKi9200, MKi9100, CK3100 & CK3000--sold separately) for integration into select '85-newer GM vehicles.
