Pioneer designed a unique solution in the DMH-WC6600NEX digital multimedia receiver, which consists of a "black box" and a separate 9" touchscreen connected by a proprietary cable. Not surprisingly, your standard double-DIN dash kit won't accommodate this kind of touchscreen. So, Metra worked with Pioneer to provide this unique "floating" double-DIN adapter kit for a clean installation of the DMH-WC6600NEX in most vehicles with a 4" tall dash opening.
Here's how it works. First, you install the double-DIN dash kit designed for your vehicle (sold separately). Then this Metra 109-UN02 floating kit provides a housing for the Pioneer receiver's separate 9" touchscreen so it floats over your dash, secured by the dash kit. The radio's chassis mounts in the lower half of the dash opening.

Compatibility: The Metra 109-UN02 Floating Mount Kit is engineered exclusively for Pioneer's DMH-WC600NEX digital multimedia receiver with a 9" touchscreen monitor. The Metra 109-UN02 kit "floats" the Pioneer DMH-WC600NEX's 9" screen in front of your vehicle's factory radio location using a series of brackets that provide the ability to mount the DMH-WC600NEX's chassis into the pocket location of the majority of Double-DIN kits (sold separately) for a variety of vehicle applications.
- The 109-UN02 can be installed in many different configurations to fit many vehicle applications, and can also be customized to take adjustments even further. Careful consideration must be taken ahead of time before assembling the kit. Items to consider are the angle of the factory radio and dash, the depth of the radio opening, and items which may be blocked by the radio display or interfere with it.
- The 109-UN02 will mount into the lower portion of the Metra dash kit, and the DMH-WC600NEX chassis will mount above that. The 109-UN02 can be flipped 180-degrees to allow more room above in certain installations where upper sub-dash depth is an issue. The kit also allows for depth adjustment in the dash.
- Two different brackets are provided to compensate for different dash angles. If the dash is angled, use the 5-degree brackets. Washers (not provided) can also be used if more than a 5-degree angle is necessary. The brackets can also be flipped 180-degrees to allow the display screen to sit higher.
- The cable from the radio chassis to the radio display may not be long enough in certain installations. It is highly recommended to purchase Pioneer's CD-RGB150E extension cable (sold separately).

Screen held very solidly. Holes should be better aligned and probably should have measured marked To get the righty depth for the dash.
