Product Research

Features

Compatibility: This enclosure is designed for a single Pioneer 8" shallow-mount component subwoofer, TS-SW2002D2 (item number 130TSS2002, sold separately).

Materials: The box is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium density fiberboard). MDF resists flexing and has anti-resonant qualities.

Design: Complementing the shallow subwoofer, this enclosure provides the smallest sealed box volume recommended for the TS-SW2002D2. The UD-SW200D enclosure will fit under the seat of many vehicles. The exterior is covered with black auto carpet.

Terminals: The spring post wire terminals, located on the side of the enclosure, will accept bare wire (up to 10 gauge), pin connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, a 14" length of speaker wire is attached to the terminal (bare wire at the other end).

Q
What is the maximum mounting depth for a sub in this box? Trying to figure out if an Alpine SWR-8D4 8" subwoofer will fit.
[ Nick  Jan 18, 2018 ]

A
This box can take subwoofers with a mounting depth up to 3.548" but that Alpine subwoofer needs 4.5" for depth. It will not fit. However, we would be happy to check other boxes we carry to see if any can fit your vehicle. I recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation. A
I have a 2014 F150 SuperCab. I put it under the backseat and it fit like a glove. I put it there so that it would be hidden and be close to the channel that holds the trucks speaker wires.

It's probably the smallest 8" shallow sub box on the market and I'm sure there's a couple different locations this box will fit in your truck. If your installing the 8" pioneer sub this no obviously will suffice but if your sub is a different brand you might want to check if this box has enough space for what that sub needs to perform properly.
