Fit my 92 f150 rear speaker locations.

They been installed, just waiting for my amp to come in so I can finish the install. I had no problems with jl audio before so I assume I wont with these. But they do fit great in the rear cab speaker location on my 92 f150 registered cab.

They are nice looking and fit great, but the woofer puts out too much bass and distorts on any setting other than vocal. Two years in and two of the four speakers are crackling. Need to offer a high pass filter for these. I have a 15" P3 so the door speaker bass is not needed at all.

This is a high quality speaker. It has a great deep bass that gives you the feeling you have a subwoofer in the trunk. Put these in my Shelby mustang GT 2007, rear deck and very happy with the purchase. JL Audio is best in business and this line of C1 allows you to buy the brand and it's technology for an affordable price. The bass is heavier than my Hertz Dieci 6x8" in the front doors and really adds that thump I wanted. You won't be disappointed. I am not running an amp, just a pioneer head unit so I can only imagine what running an amp would sound like!

I debated whether or not to chop out the opening to fit a 6"x9" speaker in the rear deck-but after talking to a Crutchfield tech he suggested this set of speakers which would fit the 6"x8" factory opening without any modifications. Boy am I glad I took his recommendation-these are killer speakers!. I purchased a Pioneer deck and Pioneer door speakers in the spring and these are a great set to compliment those. Very, very happy with the sound of this system. So happy that at this point I don't feel that I need the power amp set up that was going to be my next purchase. Nice solid bottom end with great un distorted hi end.Highly recommend!!

Excellent as a factory speaker upgrade

Spent hours on this website looking for a speaker upgrade for my 2006 Ford F-150. Contemplated for way too long on what to get. I love JL Audio Marine speakers, amplifiers and subs. I've installed quite of a few of those in the past several years. So naturally I was drawn to these. I paid more than I wanted to but I love these speakers. It's a shame that they are hidden behind the factory trim pieces because they are very nice to look at. As far as sound goes, they are clean and clear. Factory speakers cannot compare to these bad boys. Installation was very straight forward, had to break off the side mounting tabs to fit the front door but that took seconds. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Can't wait to connect these to a JL Audio 4 channel amplifier to get the full potential from these speakers.

I put these in my rear doors to match my jl 6x9 components in the front doors. These are crisp, clear, and when powered by a fosgate amp do exactly as advertised. These are not competition speakers but for your daily driver these check all the boxes.

Crisp clean sound

Replaced rear door speaker in my 2009 gt convertible mustang. Took all of 20 minutes to do. The sound difference over the Shaker 500 speakers is huge. I can actually hear things in the music which the old speakers did not reproduce. I still use the stock Shaker 500 head unit which still does the job. I only wish the speakers produced a little more base but that may not be possible with the Shaker head unit since most of the base is thru subwoofers in the front door. Bottom line they are night and day over stock paper cone 25W rear speakers. Install these and you won't be disappointed at all.

I installed the 5x7 JL C1's in my Mustang front and rear along with my Alpine head unit which puts out 50 watts rms per speaker. The speakers perform well at high volume. Great upgrade over 26 year old stock speakers. I am adding a subwoofer to bring it all together. The speaker wire adaptors were awesome and made the install much easier. Crutchfield offers awesome support. I am a Crutchfield fan for life!

Great sounding - affordable series from JL and Crutchfield.

Used as front door upgrades in place of the factory speakers in my 2012 Ford F250. I'm very satisfied with overall quality and sound balance, even through the factory "amplified" system. It does exceed my expectations, but do have future plans to add aftermarket amplifier(s) at some point, as the factory system does regulate output at higher volumes. Also, I maintained the factory tweeters in the door sail area, and they work well with these JL upgrades. Another satisfied purchase through Crutchfield. They make it easy to combine all the accessories and install info. This install took less than 30 minutes.

Install is easy, instructions are easy to find on YouTube for my vehicle. One of the speakers wiring harnesses was pinned wrong and I had to pull them out and swap them. But that wasn't a big deal to me. Sound quality is better then blown, not amazing at all but they are cheap. Clarity is very good, would have thought they'd have a little more bass punch for the size.

I like a "warm" and clean sound in my systems, and I have tried numerous "better than factory" speakers over the years with lots of disappointment - most sound very harsh to me. I tried these out, as I really like the JL subwoofers sound, and I have to say that I have been very impressed. They were much warmer sounding than other aftermarket speakers out of the box, and with just a little tweaking with the EQ settings on my Pioneer H/U I am very, very happy with these, especially at the price point! The highs are reproduced very accurately and I'm hearing notes in my music that I haven't heard before, without being harsh and with the warmer sound that I was looking for ;) I think that in this price range, these JL C1's are the best bang for the buck, over the others that I have tried out - Pioneer, MB Quart, Focal, Infinity, and Alpine. These were installed in an '01 Ford Superduty with a Pioneer H/U (no amp - straight off the H/U)

Great Replacement Speakers!

Replaced all four 20 year old factory speakers in my '99 Power stroke F250. Took less than two hours and the fit was perfect. Plug and play. Local shop wanted 2 hours at $65 an hour. I didn't know what I was doing and it didn't take me that long. Paired with my new Kenwood stereo I think they sound great! They were recommended by one of the techs here over another brand I was looking at and I'm glad I went with these. With these, the Kenwood and the added backup camera it brought my truck into the 21st century!

Great Sound overall

Perfect fit for my 2002 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab truck. Even though my truck had the 6 x 8 speakers in them these fit perfectly and the sound in the back seat is superb compared to the stock speaker that were in the truck. With the help of Cruchfield I got all the connectors and everything was just plug and play for my truck. NO cutting of wires just plug in and done, took about 2 hours for all 4 speakers to be installed.

Replaced my rear door speakers in my 2011 mazda 3with these and I couldnt be happier. I bought these intending to add an amp to them in the future so for now they are being ran off my aftermarket headunit and I can tell they are a little under powered but they still sound great. If my fronts needed this size is buy them in a heartbeat.

Great factory unit replacement

Replaced the factory speakers in all 4 doors of my Mazda CX-9 with these. After seeing the factory speakers my biggest regret is not having done this sooner! JL Audio knows a thing or two about car speakers, these are their "entry level" speakers but blow away the factory units. I paired them with a new Kenwood head unit and a 50W compact amplifier also from Kenwood. I now look forward to get in my car, I even noticed I started driving slower just so I can spend more time listening to my new system, LOL.

Great bang for the buck!

I got these to replace the garbage speakers in my Mazda 3. What an improvement they are! Bass is good enough for them being just speakers and not actual subwoofers. The build quality of them is great as well. I would also like to add that Crutchfield is such an awesome company, with plenty of information to help both non-experienced and veteran car audio geeks. I returned some Infinity's for these speakers on the advice of Amanda. So far these are great speakers. I didn't like the Infinity's because they lacked Base. The highs were great but I needed more from my speakers. Amanda recommended these and I have to say I'm very happy with them. I wish they had more lows but I'm OK with buying a sub later down the road.

Threw these in my 2007 F150 and everything matched up perfect. I took my time and listened to several different makes, and these by far were the best for the price point (in my opinion, everyone's ears are different). The highs and mids are extremely warm sounding and has a little bit of punch but does lack with bass, but I wouldn't expect much more out of a 5x7.

2011 F-350 Super duty factory basic head unit (no amps or sub). changed factory speakers out with Kicker CS68, sounded better than factory, but didn't blow my hair back. I originally installed the Kickers with Boom Mat baffles, sounded horrible (no bass, muddy), removed the baffles and was better, i've been told that car speakers are meant to be free air, so if your going to use baffles, cut a hole in them big enough to let them breathe. I then upgraded to the JL C1-570X in the front doors (again no baffles). huge improvement over factory and noticeable improvement over the Kickers. IMHO worth the extra money!
