When I first installed they sounded ok with factory head unit but once I did deck swap and put about 60 watts to them holy cow I get goose bumps every song I play. Definitely expensive but sound phenomenal.
Pros: Excellent mids highs and clarity
Cons: Expensive, crossover cover doesn't stay on the best

So I just got these installed in my 2nd Gen. Coupled with C2 650x in the rear doors and powered up with a RD400/4. The speakers are are very powerful and dynamic. Sturdy design with crystal clear highs and mids. Wonderful product, took a chunk out of my budget.
Pros: Loud Component speakers Highs Carry Long Distance Clearly Crossovers make them very dynamic Very clean at full ranges w/proper amt of power Quality and Fit 100%
Cons: Expensive Product Needs Amp for full experience More Labor/Time - additional wiring and mounting Not hard to make the budget get tight quick.

Boys and girls get ready to rock, or what ever you listen too.

Been there done that with audio electronics, my son blew the cheaper speakers, I had, won't name them. I have a 2005 GMC Extended cab truck, it had the bose system before I replaced the cheap factory crap. So here's the scoop, these JL Audio C3-650 are not the most expensive or best on the market but these bad boys hold there own. I've been researching replacement speakers for over a month, from Hertz to tin buck two. Like I said been there done that for a long time, since 1983. Now I'm grown up not really, but an electronic engineer. But I love LOUD HARD and CLEAR ROCK N ROLL. I travel the world so you get the picture. What these speakers bring to the table is clear loud music no matter what your kind of music is. I also have two 12's subs keeping the bass. the cross overs are awesome and wont blow, when it gets to hot it cuts off the speaker, and goes into time out and doesn't burn up. I could say a lot more stuff to wow you, but I'll let the speakers do that. I very much recommend these speakers to anybody who cant afford the higher end, by the way I liked them so much I bought another pair, now I'm, really rocking. Just make sure your amp has a HPF filter they are not made for bass. the bass freq will blow them if you go above the recommended spec. My next step will be two 10w6v3d4'S TO really ROCK. By the way Crutchfield goes out of there way to accommodate any and all questions, no question is to dumb for them, the only stupid question is the one not asked.
Pros: The Whole system
Cons: not a thing

Just hooked these up with a Alpine HU and a Fosgate amp and they sound amazing... they have a clean smooth, rich, bassy sound to them, just enough highs to sound great! I have C3-600's in the front doors that sound about the same, together with a JL Audio bass and they create a music experience.. I've done very little adjusting with the head unit EQ and I've just been amazed,, JL Audio makes some incredible speakers.. I can't say enough about them..
Pros: Good rich clean sound.. They just sound great..
Cons: I have nothing here..

Great when paired with an amp

I had these installed my a custom shop here in town. Soundsational does excellent work anyone in the Indianapolis area. One of the component sets blew the woofer because i had them running off of the head unit power. Crutchfield immediately sent out a replacement to swap them out, great customer service! I paired these with a JL audio XD600/6 and ran 4 channels to these and the other 2 to the rear speakers. Wow, what a difference. Pair these with a good, clean amp and you are in business.
