Outstanding!

I've owned a lot of subwoofers over the years, but I will have to say, this is the best one yet. Rock solid construction, American made (yep, built in FL), very loud and accurate. Not that "boomy" bass you get from a vented/ported enclosure. I listen to a very broad range of music, not a lot of rap, but like to hear the punch or kick of a tight bass drum, and you'll definitely hear it with this W7. Jazz and R&B music lovers-this is the sub for you. First, I wanted a top quality sub that would fit in the trunk of my 2011 Honda Accord coupe. It's a perfect fit and it doesn't take up as much trunk space as I though it would. Believe it or not, I'm powering this beast with an Alpine PDX-V9 5 channel amplifier. You're probably saying, what?? This little amp actually may be underated for the subwoofer power output. It pushes this 12" W7 flawlessly. The guys at the Crutchfield Charlottesville retail store were amazed after they helped me load it in the trunk and I connected the speaker wire. I'm sure this sub will play as loud as how much power you can throw at it, and granted I'm not trying to rattle the entire car or need people to hear me approaching from 4 blocks away. Anyway, to sum it all up, a great product from JL Audio and I'm very, very happy with it.
Pros: Tight, accurate bass, superior build quality, JL Audio W7 reputation.
Cons: A little bit on the pricey side-but you get what you pay for! VERY heavy-be sure your trunk floor will be able to support it.
