Hi Barb F, this would be great if you wanted to plug your iPod into your cars aux audio jack. But, for a home receiver you need a stereo mini to RCA adapter plug. I purchased some made by Audio Quest and they come in different lengths and colors to suite your needs. Crutchfield has a good assortment of these. Hope this helped, if you have any other questions just ask. Richard H. Columbus, GA

A
Yes it will it works awesome, just Remeber if you have a case on your iPod/iPhone you may need the adapter for that case. But other than that it works awesome as long as your receiver has the aux plug in
[ CASSIDY G  Jun 13, 2014 ]
A
Unless you have a bulky case on it, then yes. Still a good cable and has one of the smallest profiles I've seen, so odds are it will work with whatever case you have.
[ JASON  Jun 13, 2014 ]
A
If your stereo has a 3.5mm port, then yes, it is commonly referred to as an aux or auxiliary port. It will plug into an iPod.
[ RYAN T  Jun 13, 2014 ]
A
Yes, that is the correct cable to connect your Ipod to your receiver.
[ DAVID  Jun 13, 2014 ]
A
yes it will
