Terrible product details.
Crutchfield customer from Marstons Mills, MA on 9/27/2020
2011 Subaru Impreza
Bought these after I tried to install my new speakers which didn't fit, these didn't fit either, had to cut them myself and they still barely fit. Ticked at the fact that the page says it'll fit my car but once I get them they magically don't. Same thing for my speakers. When I initially bought the rockford fosgates, The page said the speakers were compatible with my car, ok cool, after they didn't fit I go back to look them up then all of sudden they page said they were not compatible. So I was ticked, but I figured with a mounting bracket I'd be fine, so I bought them, go to put on the bracket and its one screw off for the door and the speakers didn't fit, so for the speakers to fit I cut the inside of the brackets, so that worked, but now the speakers are holding on by two screws each. Bad part is that no wiring harness nor mounting brackets were recommended when I bought the speakers. I like the products but the compatibly of your products to vehicles needs to be more detailed and thoroughly looked into. I know this review won't make it to the page for other customers to view, I know how that pick and choose move works, which is really poor so whoever reads these. I'm not buying from you guys anymore. Been too much of a hassle for what it's worth.
Pros: Quality products
Cons: Details to specs and compatibility.

These are garbage. These are the only brackets sold by crutchfield that fit my 2013 subaru wrx. At best 2 of the screws fit the pre drilled holes and the 3 "might" fit if the head of the screw catches the outside of the plastic. With the Pioneer speakers that I got, this bracket seats the positive and negative terminals to rest on the metal cutout from my door and GROUNDS OUT THE SPEAKER. Buy something else.
Pros: Strong plastic
Cons: Grounds out the speaker because of poor fitment Can't get all screws to fit

Brackets are plastic and don't have enough surface for screws to thread into them securely. If not careful plastic will give and screw will not be able to tighten. They don't fully line up with my Polk Audi speakers. I managed to make them work.
Pros: They work with some effort
Cons: Plastic with no threaded holes. They are more like slots.

Ok, but too shallow.
Crutchfield customer from Grass Lake, MI on 10/2/2019
2015 Chevrolet Equinox
These seemed well made. unfortunately they were not deep enough to prevent the speaker magnet from coming into contact with the window track in the door. After further research I found that I actually needed Metra 82-3307, which Crutchfield doesn't carry. So these would work as long as you use speakers that are a shallower mount, which prevents you from really upgrading the stock speakers significantly.
Pros: fit the door
Cons: too shallow

2013 Kia Rio
I received these with my purchase of 6.5" speakers for a Kia Rio 2013 Hatchback. I wasn't impressed. The mount fit on the door, but the speakers didn't fit on the mount unless they were reversed. I ended up going old school and made my own MDF rings. After cutting out two matching 3/4" rings, glueing together, and painting to make sure they hold up under any potential moisture, I also used some non-hardening modelling clay to help build a load around the mount against the doors. In addition, I also cut the speaker ring off the door panel itself, and ended up using some thick furniture felt to reduce any potential vibrations against the MDF rings and plastic. Doing this, I could have gone with a 7" speaker easily even though the Crutchfield "specialists" indicated the 7" speakers wouldn't fit. Building up the 1.5" ring gave me that extra depth I needed. While I understand these mounting brackets are designed to be as universal as possible, they honestly sucked for the installation on the 2013 Kia Rio. At the end of the day I threw the rings in the trash where they belong.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Would not fit when correctly mounted

Good, but Metra 82-8900 is better for 2012 Forester rear door
Matthew from St Paul, MN on 10/6/2018
2012 Subaru Forester
I believe the product is well-designed and constructed of appropriate material to do a good job in the vehicles it fits. That being said, my 2012 Subaru Forester was not such a vehicle. Crutchfield sent it along for free with speakers, as they do, and noted an additional hole would need to be drilled to make it fit. Unfortunately, there is only one orientation where 2 of the 3 holes would line up and the place a new hole would need to be drilled was awkward and difficult, as it was on an angled surface and would require removal of a plastic part of the panel (the bit holding the original speaker hole). The good news is I had an extra pair of Metra 82-8900s and they fit the stock holes much better (not quite perfectly; one screw sits a little further from the overall center than would be ideal, but no additional holes are needed and they hold the bracket just fine).
Pros: Good material/build quality; ample holes to match speaker sizes/types
Cons: Recommended but a poor fit for 2012 Subaru Forester rear doors

Poorly Made - Screw holes too large
Jason from St Louis, MO on 8/23/2018
2016 Ford Transit Passenger
The brackets fit the existing location just fine, and I had no problems lining up holes for the speakers. The problem I had is that the screws that came with the bracket were too small for the holes in the plastic. I was able to get the screws just barely tight enough to stay in. Now after a few years, they are coming loose and the speakers are rattling in the doors.

fit the factory space great with no mods for my 2006 Saturn Vue. For one set of speakers no tabs to remove, the other set had to remove all the tabs but was easy. Beats having to custom fit a bracket. No way to mount any speaker directory to door since hole was larger than speaker basket.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX
Definitely does NOT nicely fit the rear door of a 2011 Impreza. Required a little finagling to work in the front doors, and major finagling to shoehorn them into the back doors. The screw holes do not line up, and there isnt enough extra plastic to make them wider to accommodate the factory screw locations. In forcing the misaligned screw holes, it tweaks the bracket slightly out of circular shape, making the speaker cage load-bearing. Probably not a huge problem, but the whole thing is under tension, which is not ideal. There has got to be a better solution for our Subarus.
Pros: Close, but not a good fit.
Cons: Close, but not a good fit.

Crutchfield recommends these for the GE/GR body WRX/STI but that is not even close to the case. New holes had to be drilled into the doors to mount these rings as they did not fit even close to the stock location. Solid product not made for Subarus
Joshua from Renton, WA on 9/30/2017
2011 Subaru Impreza
So the construction of these are very solid. Unfortunately they do not fit a 2011 Subaru Impreza with a stock premium sound system. I attempted to join the mounts to the OEM speaker mounts. This made the speaker to proud to mount the door panel. I was hoping for a product that would be a direct bolt and go like the stereo head unit adapters. At least it was included in the speaker purchase and not extra.
Pros: Solid construction
Cons: Does not mount to 2011 Subaru Impreza installation without modifications.

Donald from NJ on 9/12/2017

They the speakers mount to the adapter is bad. I had to use long screws and make holes in my Forester to solidly mount the speakers. This is NOT an EXACT fit for the 2010 Subaru Forester. You need to make a new mounting hole for the front speakers and it just barely works. The back are too far away to use. Work as expected, sturdy, and free from Crutchfield
Marc from North Smithfield, RI on 1/15/2017
2010 Toyota Camry
These worked fairly well. I used them to install JVC CS-DR620 6 1/2" speakers (front & rear) in a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX. The instruction PDF you can download for it is pretty useless. It only says you can remove the inner tabs, which I didn't have to. If you plan to use these, the side with the lip should be installed against the car door. I was able to mount the bracket using the two lower (left & right) factory holes for the front and drilled the top hole. It says use a 1/8" drill bit, but you have to make the hole a little bigger for the factory screw to fit. For the rear speakers, I was able to arrange the bracket so I could use the top factory hole and lower left factory hole and had to drill one hole for the lower right. I used the screws that came with the JVC speakers to the bracket. I just screwed it to the plastic as the metal clips supplied with the speakers can't be used with the bracket. Also, there is also no slot to run the speaker wire, I just pinched it between the speaker and the bracket, didn't seem like a big deal. They were free and they work, not much more you can ask for. I think some people expect solid gold brackets that fit every vehicle ever made for free. I appreciate that Crutchfield provides these for free and they only require a small modification and some common sense. I'm happy with them, I'd give them 3 1/2 stars.
Pros: They work with minimal effort, they are sturdy, and they were free!
Cons: Poor instructions, no slot to run wire through, unable to fit metal clips from speakers for use with fastening screws.

If i could give these no stars i would. they do not fit the new speakers at all. i had to drill all new holes for the speaker to fit. i also had to go to the hardware store to get new screws to work with these. I was told when i got them that i would have to drill one hole in my car. I did have to do that but i did not think i would have spent an hour just messing around trying to get them to work with the speaker and with the car itself. they did not come with any instructions on how to use them and they didnt come with any screws and the screws that came in the factory speakers would not have worked for these they were too short. they also need a hole for the speaker wires to go through. I really wish i had looked into getting something that would have fit 100%. I know that they gave me them for free but i would have paid to have something that i didnt need to modify so much.

Crutchfield customer from Lorton, VA on 11/6/2016
2010 Subaru Forester
Received with a speaker up-grade I purchased for a 2010 Forester. Useless, did not come close to aligning with the door frame or the new speaker, I would have had to drill at least 5-6 holes in each inner door frame to use this bracket. And after all that the support would still be questionable. Since the install was in an SUV, that fact made them useless. I decided to gut the OEM speakers, using the plastic surround/frame as a new mounting bracket. This change reduced the drilling per door in half and the end result looked and performed like a factory install. I called tech support during the early stages of the install. I was treated like a novice. The tech did not want to hear about the fact they did not fit. He stated the SD speakers came with self-tapping screws. Gee, thanks bro. This was a surprise, first time in 30 years doing business with Crutchfield that tech support did not come through.
Pros: None
Cons: Did not apply to my installation.

For some reason Crutchfield thinks these fit my 2013 Impreza WRX STi, they do not. The factory speaker mounting holes do not match theses speaker brackets, so a new hole has to be drilled. Another hole also needs to be drilled to allow the speaker wires to pass through from behind the speaker.

Can't beat the price, but no instructions

These speaker brackets did not really line up at all with the hole in my door. It required me to drill two new holes and the speaker receiver holes should have been smaller to accommodate self tapping screws from the speaker.
Pros: Free with speaker purchase
Cons: Had to drill holes to get 2 of the three screws to line up and speaker was complicated to mount because screw holes were too large.

Installing aftermarket speakers

Holes lined up fine but be sure to measure your depth. I still had to use spacers to install my 6.5" speakers with this adapter. Then had to deal the gap with duct tape or expanding foam to get the bass I wanted.
Pros: Holes line up with existing so you don't have to strip anything.
Cons: Mounting my 6.5" speaker required some customization and glue and the bracket isn't threaded.

These brackets spaced out the speakers correctly to the door panel . However they did not match up with existing holes in the doors and the speakers did not screw in to the brackets well. They need to have more plastic around the screw attachment areas to hold better.
Pros: spaced the speakers out to the door panel.
Cons: Does not have enough material around the screw points.

Works if modified with 2012 Focus SE
Brock from Salt Lake City, UT on 5/4/2016
2012 Ford Focus
They did the job but they didn't match up with the holes that the stock speakers used. I had to use a self-tapping screw on all four brackets to get them to work. 2/3 of the holes matched up and the instructions did say that you might have to do this, I just wasn't aware of that when purchasing these.
Pros: Gets the job done if you don't mind drilling holes in to your car door
Cons: Since it wasn't a perfect fit, there is a gap between the bracket and the hole for the speaker, which I sealed with Dynamat

Worked Well!

2009 Subaru Forester
I saw so many complaints that I was a bit apprehensive at first. Two of the three original holes for this mount lined up just fine. Drilling a quick hole for the third mount was quick and without issue. There were some inner tabs that must have been meant for smaller sized speakers, but in my case, I was moving up to a 6 3/4" size to the cast tabs had to go. Several reviewers fussed about cracking the plastic mounting ring when attempting to break these off. Out of concern for doing this, I just used a dremel tool and ground those little things right off. It was recommended to cut a notch for wires to pass through, so again, I used the dremel tool to cut out a little chunk. I thought these rings were great. Best of all, Crutchfield included them with the speakers. Yahoo!

not a perfect match
Ian from Minneapolis, MN on 4/13/2016

Since the mounting brackets that came with my speakers weren't compatible with my car, Crutchfield sent me these. Unfortunately, these didn't fit either. I was warned that I would need to drill new holes in my car doors, but why? It doesn't seem like it should be hard to make/stock adaptors that fit. Ultimately I got them to work, but I had to drill some holes in these plastic brackets.
Pros: free with speaker purchase
Cons: not actually a compatible adaptor

Pros: Solid plastic, can't argue for price as it's included with the speakers. Alot better than the big box store's brackets and other local stereo shops.
Cons: Wish it came with screws for speakers both for the bracket and bracket to door and honestly a better installation diagram showing which way it needs to go into the door.

Use the factory mounts for 6.5 inch speakers from Poolesville, MD on 2/2/2016
These do not work if you're installing 6.5 inch speakers in a 2016 Hyundai Elantra. They look like they would work for a 5.25 speakers. Reusing the factory mounts worked fine for me. You don't have to remove them to use them with 6.5 inch speakers but you have to cut the supports off to allow the new speakers to fit. There are other good descriptions on how to do this online.
Pros: FREE

Rear door 2013 Hyundai Elantra - salvage the factory bracket
Ric W from New Hampshire on 1/16/2016
I see a review that said these were fine. However, they're too short - the speaker won't reach the door panel. I reused the bracket that is an integral part of the factory speaker assembly: Cut the veins supporting the magnet end of the driver, cut the wires, used chisel to separate driver from bracket (Crutchfield suggested next time I heat it to 150°F) Then attached new driver to bracket with silicone cement and some #4 bolts and nuts. and put some self adhesive foam to seal with the door panel. Reuse allowed me to use the factory wiring, and just solder wires to the vane that has the original wiring. The result works well.
Pros: Could have saved some work if they fit. Unnecessary.
Cons: Too short, about 0.7" IIRC. Needs to be twice that height.

Decent Speaker Bracket
Jbeach1216 from California on 11/16/2015
2015 Chevrolet Equinox
Overall these will get the job done. They are made to fit 5 1/4 and larger speakers. If you do use the larger speakers such as I did you will have to break the inner mounting hole out to fit the speaker. I do recommend being very careful when doing this as they are kind of fragile. I took the route of using a pair of pliers to break them and ended up breaking the bracket. After that happened I used a Dremel to cut the others off and that worked quite well. I did contact Crutchfield about the issue and they where very quick to apologize and ship a new set immediately. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and more impressed with the customer service that comes from Crutchfield. That's why I have shopped with them for nearly 20 years.
Pros: Brackets are made to fit many different sizes of speakers and configurations.
Cons: Can be a little flimsy, but just use a Dremel or rotary tool to cut the tabs off instead of breaking them with pliers.

2002 Saturn VUE
The mounts were easy to install but, with the 2002 Saturn Vue that I own [(and perhaps because of the Kenwood speakers I bought) this was my first speaker replacement] , aesthetically, the way that they are laid out (alignment wise) I was not able to get the speakers to mount with the logo on the cover in the position I would have liked. My door panels have a built in cover so it was not terrible but, the logos ended up at 4 o'clock rather than at 6 o'clock
Pros: Very easy to install
Cons: Would have had to re-drill the door to get the speakers in the desired position aesthetically.

Subaru Forester 2011 Plug & Play

2011 Subaru Forester
Not a plug and play mount!! These do fit my Subaru Forester 2011, however you will need to drill new holes in the bracket to line up with all 3 door mount holes. You will also have to cut out a tab for the wires to go through. This was my first project with my car. I liked Crutchfield's tool to help find the parts that fit your car, but the parts didn't without modification. I was worried when I received the parts and saw Toyota or Chevrolet. I don't think the tool should just say that it fits, there should be some type of note with it then. I took pictures as I went, hoping to add them to this review to help others, but there is only the option for a Youtube Review link. The paper manuals I received also weren't printed to fit on a page and so was missing information. Tech support was very polite and able to quickly send me the pdf version, which worked great for me. I would buy from Crutchfield again, but with more research and maybe contacting Tech Support first.
Pros: -Low Cost -Quick shipping -Manuals -Good Tech Support
Cons: -Modifications necessary

Speaker rings
Michael from Ft. Carson, CO on 10/2/2014
2014 Kia Forte
These rings are designed to mimic the amount of spacer ring that is built into the original speaker of many different vehicles. For my particular vehicle, a 2014 Kia Forte, the thickness of the mounting rings was about half of what the stock speakers are made with. Given that, I effectively am stuck with speakers that have a shallower mounting depth then the stock speakers, so I am limited to speakers that are just shy of 2" mounting depth. That's pretty unfortunate. I also had to drill extra holes since the mounting ring system are 3 holes and the standard mounting from the original speakers are 4 holes.
Pros: Snap plastic that allows 6.5" or 6.75" speakers
Cons: Not as thick as needed. Have to drill additional wholes to mount.

Not bad, definitely not great
Mike from NJ on 3/27/2014
2008 Subaru Impreza WRX
They aren't a perfect fit for my 2008 Subaru Impreza, but close enough. You'll have to drill a new hole into the door for the top mounting hole. My major issue with these is the mounting holes for the speaker. It's not ahole, but more of a slice, so you really need at least a #10 or #12 thickness/gauge screw for the speaker to actually stay attached to the bracket. Neither the standard Subaru speakers nor the replacement Alpines I bought had such thick screws (all had #8). Luckily Home Depot isn't too far from me..
Pros: It seems to be the best solution available for anyone with a Subaru Impreza 2008-2012 (maybe other years as well)
Cons: Requires drilling a new hole into your door Screw holes for new speakers are too large for standard screws (You may need to buy thicker screws)

Pros: Made for easy install of aftermarket speakers

Oversized speakers in 2003 Toyota Matrix
DanaM from Omaha,NE on 11/5/2013
I bought these for my 2003 Toyota Matrix. I had ordered the recommended adapters and those had not worked with the JLA 6.5 speakers I was installing (the opening for the woofer was too small). I spoke with Jenny at Crutchfield and explained the problem. We decided on these and they worked perfectly. I did have to mark and drill the holes for the mounting screws but I fully expected that. The Toyota vehicles don't have any standard sizes and will need to be modified so that is not a fault of the adapter.
Pros: Don't let the price fool you, these are sturdy and provide the spacing so deep basket speakers do not interfere with the windows. I was able to put my door panels back on with no modifications, the spacer height is no problem with the Matrix. All 6.5 and 6.76 speakers should fit these adapters. The inner tabs are removable and can be cleaned up with a file

2013 Subaru Impreza WRX
2013 Subaru WRX. mounted Focal 6 3/4 using these brackets. had to bust all the universal tabs off on the inside (no instructions but you could see where they were lined to make snapping off easier). using the hardware provided from my speakers, I noticed that the mounting spots on the brackets weren't the greatest, I suggest screwing the screws into the bracket first before mounting to the door that way you don't strip or break the bracket. I also had to drill a new hole in between the top holes of the bracket as it didn't line up with my car, wasn't hard to do and didn't weaken the structure of the bracket either as there was plenty of room.
Pros: gives the speakers enough lift to keep them from interfering with the window glass, served their purpose
Cons: no hardware, preset hole configuration didn't line up, no instructions.

Lots of drilling required.
Gordo from Columbia, SC on 8/6/2013
They fit my over-sized 6.5" Fosgate's. However none of the holes lined up with the door. Multiple attempts at drilling is required, unless you have access to a Smurf that can jump inside the door to mark your holes. Acceptable only if free with purchase.
Pros: Fit my over-sized 6.5" Fosgate's. Free with speakers.
Cons: Multiple attempts at drilling is required to fit door.

Universal speaker rings

These speaker rings work great. I am using them in my '08 Subaru WRX to replace factory speakers with Kicker SSMB6 and Diamond Audio 365. I almost hd my doubts with using them on my Kickers because the large basket, but they are perfect. I'm glad the Crutchfield rep recommended them.
Pros: Universal application for all 6.5" speaker basket sizes.
Cons: Had to drill one mounting hole to mount to the door chassis.

Perfect fit for the front doors of my 2000 Saturn L-series wagon to replace the OEM factory speakers. Just make sure though that if your speakers that you buy doesn't come with mounting hardware to use #4-40 machined screws with nuts and washers to hold the speaker to this bracket.
Pros: Exact fit for regular sized 6-1/2" aftermarket front speakers.

2012 Forester
Crutchfield customer from Devine, TX on 12/29/2012
Put Polk speakers in Forester to replace horrible OEM. This adapter plate did not work at all on the back door. I used the adapter plate that came with the Polk Audio DB 651 speakers and it worked fine, just had to drill one hole. In the front the adapter worked well with the Polk DB 651S. I was able to drill a hole through the third tab to line up with the factory hole...did not have to drill the door at all.
Pros: Works well with Polk Audio DB 651S in 2012 Subaru.
Cons: Unnecessary for Polk Audio db 651 for rear door installation.

pain in the butt

2009 Subaru Impreza
The speaker mounting brackets were real pain in the butt, good thing they were free. The front ones were hard to figure out the mounting position. Was told I only needed to drill 1 new hole in each door, I actually had to drill 4 in each of the front doors. Didn't even need to use the brackets for the rear doors.
Pros: Can't really think of any except that I needed the 1 for the front doors
Cons: Enough said

These do work for my 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer
Craig L. from Appleton, WI on 10/26/2012
2011 Mitsubishi Lancer
Contrary to what some reviews say, they fit. Just had to snap off the inner tabs with very little effort. This fits my 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer perfectly. I was able to mount my all four of my Pyle 6.5" speakers in about 30 minutes. The instructions were exact and true. Highly recommened for aftermarket setup. Even though it does not say "Mitsubishi" on the package, and there were a small lack of instructions, they work. Only needed a few screws to mount, but the instructions said that. Screws were only a dollar at the hardware store. It does not take a rocket scientest to figure it out.
Pros: Very secure mounting for your expensive speakers
Cons: None

2009 Forester Install
RobD from Oakdale, CT on 10/20/2012
2009 Subaru Forester
Installed these into a 2009 Subaru Forester front and rear doors for aftermarket Kenwood speakers and at first I was very confused and almost thought they didn't fit. There are absolutely no instructions and they are generic for use with several different makes/models so many different holes and hole patterns. After reading a review on here, I broke off the inner tabs (looks like they are made to break off if needed). Then I could mount the speaker inside the bracket and then the bracket to the door (needed to drill one hole in the door due to only two of the braket holes lining up). I thought it would be more custom for the car, but they are not. They work, but I was a little disappointed at the lack of instructions.
Pros: They work for the 2009 Subaru Forester Free with the speakers I bought from Crutchfield
Cons: No instructions Difficult to figure out what to do (i.e. break off the inner tabs) Not a perfect fit IMO, but they work

Does the job
TomRiv from Boston, MA on 8/1/2012
2012 Subaru Forester
Contrary to the previous reviews, these do work fine on a 09-12 Subaru Forester. It's not a perfect fit since only two of the pre-drilled holes will line up. However all that is required to fix this is to drill an extra hole in the bracket itself.
Pros: Free with speaker purchase (thanks Crutchfield!)
Cons: Requires some modification to fit on 09-12 Subaru Forester

Wrong brackets
Bart from Queens, NY on 4/3/2012
2012 Subaru Forester
First of all these are not for 09+ Subaru Forester. On the bag it said "Chevrolet Equinox/Saturn Vue" Although I managed to fit these but it was not so easy. I had to do some modifications (I had to break the center mounting tubs to fit 5.75 Polk speakers for the front doors. No screws were supplied either. My speakers came with a mounting kit. I was so happy for that. It took me some 4 hours to install all 4.

These DO work for '08 to '11 Impreza
BWX from NY on 3/20/2012
2009 Subaru Impreza
They worked fine for me, I didn't have to drill holes in my car and had plenty of room for the Polk db65s 6.25'' speakers. You have to rotate them to find correct holes to use. I added some layers of insulation foam to fill in gap from top of speaker to back of door card for more air tight seal. It was tight on the metal surface though. I still made a gasket for the under side too though. Easy, even enjoyable to install speakers with these.
Pros: They worked for me.

These were sent to me for my 2012 Hyundai Elantra (both fronts and rears). They did not come close to matching up with the factory openings. The brackets that came with the speakers were much closer. I give one star not for the quality of the product, but for the fit.
Pros: None
Cons: Totally wrong for my car.

StevieP from Atlanta, GA on 2/27/2012
2009 Subaru Impreza WRX
For a 2009 WRX 5dr hatch - These worked, but required some modification. 2 of the 3 mounting holes lined up with the car door, so I had to drill the third hole... no big deal. I fitted these to a set of JL CR-650x. I had to break out the center mounting tabs on the bracket to fit the speaker, and then redrill mounting holes in the bracket to fit the speaker.
Pros: I didn't have to cut up my own spacer rings... these work with minimal effort to modify them.
Cons: They require modifications to work.

Very little explanation on how to install these speaker mounts. Finally figured it out and got them to fit in my 2010 Subaru Impreza. To make these mounts work on my subaru I had to break the tabs on the inside of the mount which went against all of my instincts. Once they are broken the speaker fits to the mount and the mount and speaker fit in the door properly.
Pros: fits
Cons: confusing

Wrong for my car as well...
Karno from Missouri on 2/4/2012
2011 Hyundai Elantra
Sent me these speaker mounting kits for my door speakers I ordered. Totally didn't work or fit. Could not be fabricated to be made to work. Even if they could, the speaker magnet would have hindered the operation of the front windows (speaker magnet would have hit the window glass). Didn't bother to call; figured I would have been made to feel I was doing it wrong. Spent a good hour and a half fabricating my own from the existing factory speakers. VERY DISAPPOINTED... would like my hour and a half back Crutchfield.
Pros: None
Cons: As stated above

Wrong brackets
Crutchfield customer from KY on 10/6/2011
These are wrong brackets. These are suppose to be for this vehicle. It clearly states on their web site and on the kit as "Chevrolet Equinox/Saturn Vue". No mention of Honda. I have to goto lowes and buy extra hardware to make this work. I was very disappointed when I called and pointed out to Crutchfield advisors, And I have talked to a couple, all say that these kits are for multiple vehicles and make you feel that you don't know anything. I bet none have them seen these kits and have seen/installed them. You can buy speakers cheaper elsewhere.. save money and buy the cheaper one. I bought from Crutchfield because of these free extras.

Didn't work for Honda Accord '08
SteveK from St. Louis, MO on 6/13/2011
2008 Honda Accord EX-L
I was skeptical when I saw this was for a Chevy and Crutchfield sent it to be used in my '08 Honda Accord. First of all there wasn't any screws with the adapters so had to go to the hardware store in the middle of my install to get screws. I then drilled six holes in my car door, mounted the speakers, found they didn't sound as good as my factory component speakers, tried to put the door together anyway and the door panel wouldn't go back on because it was hitting these rings. Took everything back apart and reverted to factory. Waste of a day.

They Don't Fit In A Fit
Rick from Flint, MI on 4/11/2011
These speaker adapters may work just fine in an Equinox or a Vue, but they won't work in a 2009--11 Honda Fit, nor will cutting out the innards of the factory speakers from their mounts and trying to install 6.5 inch aftermarkets in their place like in a 2007--08 model. What does work are Kenwood J19-7626 universal adapters. They're much thinner and will allow the door panels to clear the speaker cones with plenty of room.

Works It will mount, you will have to drill a new hole for it to mount using all three locations Doesnt Work It will not mount flush, this may or may not cause ratting Due to not mounting flush the mounting screw have about an 1/4 inch gap and you run a chance on braking the bracket. Speaker is not angled towards the driver and passenger This bracket is for a GM, it kinda works for a Subaru. I want my speakers flush and angled like the stock ones are.
