High-performance Dynamat Xtreme is a patented, lightweight elastomeric butyl and aluminum constrained-layer vibrational damper. At .044" thick, it's lighter than Dynamat Original, four times more effective, requires no heat to apply and is recommended for contoured vehicle panels. Dynamat Xtreme is coated with aluminum to make it ideal for high temperature areas such as firewalls and floors - and for high SPL environments.

Contains four 12" x 36" sheets. Warranty: 60 days.

Installation

Features

Overview: Dynamat Xtreme provides four times the damping efficiency of Original Dynamat, the conforming ability of Premium Dynamat, and the radiant energy reflection of Super Dynamat. Dynamat Xtreme has an aluminum layer for high-temperature areas. Dynamat Xtreme will create a seal and damp the door panel to maximize your system's performance.

Self-Adhesive: The rubber layer of Dynamat Xtreme is very sticky, so it comes with a peel-off paper liner. Once the paper liner is peeled from the rubber layer, Dynamat Xtreme can be adhered to your door panel.

Easy to Cut: The material cuts easily with scissors or a razor knife.

Installation

Installation Steps:

  • Clean mounting surface (bare metal)
  • Using a razor knife or scissors cut Dynamat Xtreme to the desired size
  • Remove the blue release liner from the back of the Dynamat Xtreme and apply to door
  • Apply pressure, working Dynamat Xtreme into the contours of the door panel
  • Work air out with a roller tool (eliminating air pockets will ensure lasting adhesion of the Dynamat Xtreme to the panel, giving you maximum damping effect)

Q
Upgrading car audio in phases. Should I install my new speakers before installing Dynamat?
[ Will  Aug 25, 2020 ]

A
God bless you, you should install the Dynamat first and then the speakers, so I did.Enter an answer to this question.

Man, to be honest. It would be best to do them at the same time, but I understand working on a budget. You could install before or after installing speakers. It really shouldn't interfere with each other.
[ Christopher  Aug 25, 2020 ]
A
I would install the Dynamat first since you may need to remove the speakers before you install the Dynamat.

Q
Does this product heat resistant? Its gets extremely hot in Vegas.
[ Javon  Jul 21, 2020 ]

A
Javon i live in Michigan so heat is not really a factor for me except for maybe a couple weeks out of the year. This is a very good product though and i would recommend it for sound suppression. My sub used to rattle the bracket for the rear slider window. Since installing this product the base is solid and no rattles can be heard thru the back wall of my truck. Hope this helps.

Q
I have a 2018 Nissan versa note hatchback, will one kit cover inside and outside 2 doors?
[ Jian  Jul 11, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
There is more than enough material to fit two doors. I put one kit on my 1995 Ford f250 doors (probably bigger than a Nissan), plus the floor wells up front. Dynamat is top of the line.

Q
How much should I expect to pay my installer -labor only-for complete top to bottom up grade, ie sound deadening -Dynamat doors, canopy, floor, how long should it take, Ford 150XLT?
[ Stephen  Jan 07, 2020 ]

A
My 2013 Hyundai Veloster took 5 days. The variable would be the amount of money you pay the installer and how time efficient he is. You can do it yourself, it is not rocket science; although you would need to find the time in your schedule and and transportation for your vehicle down time. P.S. I personally prep ALL my surfaces with a fine grit sand paper. That is an option. Be sure to clean your surfaces with ALCOHOL thoroughly before application. Second Skin offers a great selection of sound deadening. If your in that deep, You might as well do it right the first time...It is a royal pain in the ass to go back and perform a task you could done when the truck was already gutted! Trust me , a lesson learned the HARD WAY! Hit me up in you require any more advice.
[ john  Jan 23, 2020 ]
A
That is highly dependent on the installers, speed, efficacy, and hourly rates. There is no way for us to accurately estimate that.

Q
What does open box mean and what measures are taken to ensure the product arrives as advertised?
[ AJGonz93  Mar 11, 2019 ]

A
Our open box inventory has been opened and resealed. It is tested and verified fully functional and in pristine condition. It carries the same warranty and 60 day return period as brand new stock and receives the same shipping and handling as brand new stock.

? sorry for asking but how does dynamat work never used it before.

It adheres to the inside of your doors, body panels, floor boards, etc. and it deadens road noise and reduces vibrations from a myriad of different sources. It helps get more of your music get to your ear, instead of getting lost or going elsewhere!
[ Jeff  May 30, 2016 ]
A
It not only reduces vibrations but gives a sound barrier (keeps the outside noise out and inside noise in) works well, be thorough when putting in for best results but even a little helps. I installed on my 75 dodge truck doors and it helped a lot. I'd like to do more in the cab since its all just metal
