Active controls

Most factory radios turn down the lower frequencies as you turn the volume up in order to minimize stress on inexpensive factory speakers. AccuBASS eliminates this bass rolloff, so you get maximum bass performance when you add aftermarket amps to a factory radio. Onboard LEDs indicate optimized signal flow for inputs and outputs, plus give you a warning when a source is too loud and causing distortion. An optional wired remote lets you control bass volume from the front seat.

Works in almost any system

AudioControl designed the LC-1.800 to work equally well with aftermarket and factory stereos. Speaker-level inputs allow you to connect to almost any factory radio. Signal sensing circuitry turns the amp on via the speaker-level inputs, so you won't need to run a remote turn-on wire throughout your vehicle.

Overview: The AudioControl LC-1.800 mono subwoofer amplifier is designed to enhance the sound of your car stereo system, whether it's a factory or an aftermarket one. Outputting 500 watts @ 4 ohms and 800 watts @ 2 ohms, the LC-1.800 can accept both line and speaker level inputs. Key features include AudioControl's AccuBass compensation circuit, GTO signal sensing turn-on, and a connection port for the optional ACR-1 remote level control (sold separately). The amplifier features a black brushed aluminum chassis, with black powder-coated cast alloy heat sinks and a one piece bottom panel. A black brushed aluminum cover is provided to protect the amp controls from tampering. The included 2.5mm Allen key is used to remove the cover.

AccuBASS: The patented AccuBASS processing circuit compensates for factory bass rolloff to improve bass performance, especially with most factory installed sound systems. The circuit has two rotary controls: the Threshold lets you dial in the level at which the AccuBASS will begin to work, while the Level control raises or lowers the level of AccuBASS compensation. A slide switch allows the AccuBass feature to quickly be Enabled or Disabled.

ACR-1 Remote: The optional AudioControl ACR-1 wired remote lets you adjust the subwoofer output level from the driver's seat. The remote level control comes with a 20' cable, terminating in an RJ-14 jack that plugs into the amp, and is designed to be mounted under a dash for easy access while driving.

Maximum Input Level Control (MILC): The amplifier analyzes the input signal to detect any clipping. If the signal reaches the level of clipping, the MILC Source Clip LED lights red, prompting you to turn down the gain level. When the gain level is maximized, a green Maximized LED will light to indicate the gain is set to the optimum level.

GTO (Great Turn On) Signal Sense: If you are connecting the amplifier to a factory stereo or an aftermarket unit without a remote turn-on lead, the GTO Signal Sense circuitry can turn on the amplifier when an audio signal is detected on either the line-level or speaker-level inputs. After a period of time with no signal input, the amp will turn itself off. An On/Off slide-switch is provided on the amp activate the GTO Signal Sense feature.

Controls: The LC-1.800's controls are located under a protective panel that can easily be removed with the included 2.5mm Allen key. A flat-head screwdriver (not included) is needed to adjust the rotary controls which include the AccuBass and GTO settings, a Low-Pass crossover with a range from 30 Hz to 230 Hz, a Polarity switch with 0 or 180, and LED indicators for Power and Protection.

Would this be an appropriate amp to pair with the Alpine SBV-10-WRA that handles up to 350 watts RMS (1,050 watts peak power)? The head unit I want to use also has a subwoofer Preout LPF: 25Hz/40Hz/63Hz/80Hz/100Hz/160Hz/250Hz. I'm not sure what all this means?

No, this amp would not be a good match for that sub. The Alpine SBV-10-WRA can only handle up to 350 watts rms at 2 ohms. The AudioControl LC-1.800 outputs 800 watts rms at 2 ohms which is much more power than the Alpine subwoofer can handle at a constant rate. We also need to know a little more about your application. A bit overkill. That sub can handle 280 watts of rms power. That amp would be perfect for powering 2 of those subs.

Is this enough amp to drive my JL single sealed 10W3, or should I step up in power to either the HD750, XD1000 or AC LC-1.1500? There is a lot to consider with this question, but I want to get it right. I am leaning towards this or the XD1000.

This amp is plenty to drive a single 10W3. I am using this amp to drive two 10W3 in a JL stealth box in my 2020 Ram truck. Very good amp. I am using a D6.1200 to power a 3 way active front stage with GB Audio Frog speakers. Great quality amps with plenty of power.

This amp is more than enough for a single 10W3. If you have the dual 2 ohm 10W3 wire the coils in series and you should have a perfect 500W match for that sub. If you have dual 4 ohm version wore them parallel and be sure to set your gain correctly and you will be fine also. This amp puts out more than the 500/800 it's rated for also, I couldn't recommend it more!

The Xd10001v2 mono (1000W RMS @2 Ohm) is twice the power that a 10W3 can handle (500W @ 2 Ohm). Would not do that one.

Your JL 10W3 is 500W RMS @ 2 Ohm, and this LC-1.800 is 800W RMS @ 2 Ohm. You don't want to do more power than this amp because your 500W RMS sub won't sustain more than 500W. You could even do less power.

This amp will push that sub with room to spare, I have it on two Alpine Type S at a four ohm load and it's only turned a little less than half way up. I am currently looking for a set of shallow mount tens or a twelve that can take a two ohm load.

No, the epicenter is used to increase bass output, you can use your head unit or the included bass boost on the unit to do the same thing.

It would depend if your just powering a set of woofers (woofers only yes) or the entire car. You will have to get the signal from the radio some how if your powering the entire vehicle. They make wiring conversion kits for vehicle so you could opt to go that route or use a line out converters.

From what I can tell this unit does not sum multiple channels as its designed for a subwoofer application. It only has 2 channel input, L/R. With the crossover you can feed it a full range signal if necessary.
