Does not work with L7 Q series

This grill doesn't work on all 8" L7 subwoofers. I bought the grill and installed it on an L7 8" Q series. I looked at the speaker and thought "that grill is awfully close to the driver, can that be right?". Well the answer is no, it's not right, the sub immediately started hitting the grill. After referring back to the Crutchfield product page I see it says "solo-baric L5 and L7". I figured that meant the solo-baric L5 and also the L7 series. Nope, if you've got a Q series L7 you should NOT buy this grill.
Pros: Protects the sub
Cons: Does not function properly with L7 Q series.

Strong with a custom look, what more can you ask for!! One of two major selling points for my particular build.
Pros: Made of aluminum and you can paint it to match anything you like!
Cons: I guess if you need one, it comes textured and not smooth but not really a problem in my eyes.

I always get my car stereo products from Crutchfield. The Kicker 08GL78 is the finishing touch to my subwoofer/ tv monitor enclosure. Painted gloss black to match my orange and black theme.

Metal grill made in China, at least it's not plastic, and looks good on the sub. I got mine $5 off on a sale.
