Features

Overview: The Kicker RCA-to-Speaker Wire Adapter (46KiSL) allows high level speaker outputs to be connected via RCA plugs. The adapter is ideal for use with amplifiers that have high-level input capability, but no speaker wire input connections. Simply splice the speaker output wires from your head unit to the bare wire ends of the adapter and plug it into your amplifier. The 12" adapters have male RCA plugs on one end, and come with two RCA female-to-female adapters, if needed.

Construction: The KiSL RCA-to-Speaker Wire adapter have split-pin RCA with silver-tinned OFC wire for excellent signal transfer. The K-Grip dual-mold connectors provide a good, solid grip. The KiSL adapter can be used without the need for a line-output converter (LOC).

Specifications:

  • Length: 12"
  • Wire Gauge: 16 AWG

Q
I plan on tapping into front door speakers in my Crosstrek. Does this need to be tapped into both driver and passenger side speakers. Or is just passenger side speakers sufficient?
jesse  Feb 10, 2024

A
When using an amplifier/sub combo or powered subwoofer that has a speaker-level input feature Jesse you can choose to tap-in to only the passenger side for ease of install if that is your preference. We provide lifetime Technical Support with every purchase to help you get connected!

Q
Is it better to wire these behind the radio or closer to the amp?
gurwinder  Jun 23, 2023
1 answer
A
The Kicker 46KISL adapter is ideal for use with amplifiers that have high-level input capability, but no speaker wire input connections Gurwinder. I would wire these at the amp location if you are using speaker-level inputs on your amplifier. I hope this helps!

Q
can i use this is splice into my factory wire harness for a RCA connection. adding 4 new 6x9 speakers and a amp to my car and having the new speakers run to the amp would this work for that purpose?
ryan  Mar 09, 2023
1 answer
A
This will depend on the model of amplifier. If your amplifier accepts speaker-level input via RCA, then the 46KISL would be useful. For help with this project, please reach out to our advisors via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
I'm trying to connect the sub output from my head unit to a Kicker sub (with internal amp) with the 10 pin connector. Would this be the correct way? (basically wire this to the 10 pin which then plugs into the powered sub) thanks !
michael  Feb 03, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Chase, and thank you for your question. The Kicker KISL would be needed to convert the RCA outputs of an aftermarket stereo to the speaker level input plug of a powered sub that does not have RCA inputs.

Q
2012 F-150 With Factory Amp - Would this be used to attach directly to the wiring coming from the factory amp to the existing sub? The connect to the aftermarket amp with High Input option?
rlawrimore  Jun 11, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings RLawrimore, and thank you for your question. The Kicker KISL is use to convert a high level into an amplifier that can take high level in thru its RCA inputs. A lot of Kicker amplifiers take the high level in thru the RCAs, and do not have speaker terminals for the high level in. If your amplifier has speaker level in terminals, these would not be needed.

Q
Can I use this to connect a powered sub to an aftermarket radio rather than directly connecting to the speakers?
aidan  Jan 08, 2022
1 answer
A
I suppose you could, but I don't know why you wouldn't just connect the powered sub directly to the car's radio.

Q
Can I tap into the rear deck speakers instead of attaching it to the head unit ?
michael  Nov 10, 2021
1 answer
A
Yes. If your amp has a high imput mode. Otherwise you will need to buy a high input to low input converter to do so.

Q
Can I use this adapter to install a kicker amplifier to install on a 2017 Ford F-150 with factory stereo to add a subwoofer?
colt  Nov 10, 2021
1 answer
A
Yes. Only if the amp has a high input mode on it. Otherwise you will need to buy a high input to low input converter. Most newer Kicker amps have a high input mode on them now.

Q
If I want to run two powered subs, can I double up the wires to this adapter to attach to the back of my head unit?
alexander  Mar 02, 2021
1 answer
A
Theoretically yes , but it will reduce the signal strength to each set of rca cables. A better solution is to find an amp w a set low output RCA's built in so you can just run a set of RCA's from one amp to the other w no signal loss.

Q
I have a Kicker CXA 1200.1 amp. Was wondering if I actually need these because I have an high output adapter to rca's but sub still doesn't sound right. Any advice?
timothy  May 13, 2020
1 answer
A
make sure that the amp settings are properly set. for example for your sub you want the low pass filter to be on and frequency at around 80hz to start. you also want to make sure that if you are using a high to low pass adapter to feed the amp you need to set the kicker amp to low level input. see if that works.
